So, guys; what do you wish to see done with gym leaders and members of Elite Four in Pokémon Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire? Want some of them to be replaced? Hoping to see them get new sets of clothing? What kind of Pokémon would you expect them to have on their teams? Also, what TMs would you like them to give when you defeat gym leaders?

I'm hoping that Wally is indeed the new Champion. As for the Gym Leader lineups, if it's a sequel/remake I can see them being similar, but:

-Roxanne
-Brawly
-Someone new
-Flannery
-Someone new
-Winona
-Someone new, or perhaps just Tate or just Liza depending on your version, or maybe Steven since he already lives on the island
-Someone new, because I dislike both Juan and Wallace and want them gone

As for the Elite Four... I hope they're tied into the story a bit more because they were nowhere to be seen in the entire game before the League came and that was a bit disappointing. They weren't even in the post-game at all.

I sure hope they keep the original roster, all of Gym leaders and Elite Four members were unique in their own way.

I want every single one of them with some new clothing. That, or replace some of them. Except for Flannery, let's not replace her, haha.

In terms of battling, I still want Tate and Liza to be a double battle, and I sort of want Winona to be a Sky Battle.

The Elite Four are completely fine, but let's diversify their teams slightly. Phoebe with two Dusclops, and two Banettes is pretty redundant. Glacia with two Sealeo, and two Glalie is also redundant. I'm aware that this was mainly due to restrictions on the Pokedex, but with Omega and Alpha, hopefully the Pokedex will get expanded for more variety in team options.

And, I do not want Wallace as the Champion. Anyone else will do, just not Wallace D:

Hmm...I'm so used to their original clothing that replacing the clothing of any Gym Leader/Elite Four member could just be unthinkable! I mean, you have Roxanne's lovely schoolgirl outfit to Drake's astounding cape to Steven's classy outfit to Winona's boot things to Juan's dazzling coat to Flannery's sizzling midriff-baring shirt and rocking denim jeans! XD And the Gym Leaders were recently in Pokemon Black 2/White 2's Pokemon World Tournament, so their clothes have been visible a bit more recently...

Pokemon teams should preferably be based on the Emerald updates and derive from Pokemon World Tournament usage. Wattson should use Manectric (I mean, seriously, he doesn't have to walk that far to get one, and it's fitting, being a Hoenn-native Pokemon and all!) while still retaining a Magneton. I hope that post-Generation 3 evolutions (standard ones and Mega Evolutions) get used during rematches, like Phoebe employing a Dusknoir as her signature Pokemon at some point and Sidney using a Mega Absol to trounce foes.

Since Mossdeep City Gym has two layouts, maybe OmegaRuby could have the Ruby/Sapphire variant and AlphaSapphire could have the other (or vice versa)?

TMs given should either remain the same as from Generation 3 if possible, or at the least be of the same type as well as be useful.

I believe all Gym Leaders except for Wallace should remain the same. Juan should be the Gym Leader of Sootopolis Gym while Wallace is available for a match at the Abandoned Ship as a powerful roaming Trainer. It would be nice to see cameos by all of those NPCs that mention Hoenn characters (like Bruno cameoing near Dewford Town, since he's been stated to have trained with Brawly, Dewford Town's Gym Leader). And of course, Steven Stone should be the rightful Hoenn Region Pokemon Champion!

As for rematches, either they could be scheduled (better) within a Hoenn Gym Leader's resident Gym, or we could have some assembly-like Fighting Dojo facility (maybe a Battle Tent?) where all the Hoenn Gym Leaders can be challenged.

As for the Elite Four... I hope they're tied into the story a bit more because they were nowhere to be seen in the entire game before the League came and that was a bit disappointing. They weren't even in the post-game at all.
More Hoenn Elite Four interaction would be nice, aside from phone calls.

If Frontier Brains can be counted here; I'm hoping that they generally remain the same. However, I hope that they receive new Trainer's Eyes/Match Call entries when you meet them, so you can call them and stuff. I'm hoping that the owner of Trainer Hill becomes a Hoenn Pokemon League member and is fleshed out a bit more.
I hope that Frontier Brains can appear in Single and Double Battle modes (if applicable), and I hope that they appear even after repeated challenges (for example, even if you already got one facility's Silver Symbol after 35 wins, every time you have to restart your challenge, you continue to face that Frontier Brain as the 35th Trainer, for them to continue testing you).

The eldest Winstrate boy came to mind. You only see him, or who you believe is supposed to be him, on Victory Road and it's a very quick battle - I believe he only has one Pokemon - so I'd like to see if it's possible that he could become a League member in some sort of fashion.

I'm expecting the usual new outfits and new TM moves they'll give out just like the previous two remakes. However, their rosters should be the sole feature on whether or not this remake gets a pass or not. Because of how limited the Hoenn dex was, some of the gym leaders, as well as the Elite Four, had horrendus rosters due to having 2-3 Pokemon from the same line or using a Pokemon who is already an ace Pokemon to another type specialist or key important character. Glacia was the worst example, having two Glalies and two Sealos because there were only 3 Ice lines in the dex with none of the previous gen Ice types included to fix the issue. Unfortunately, the two previous remakes show that GF wants to keep their rosters the way they originally are until post-game, which irritates me, because I want their rosters changed from the get-go, so I can have a better experience at battling type specialists without worrying about them wasting slots for Pokemon I've already mentioned. So sorry, Cat, but I have to disagree with you because of that.

I'd like to see all the GYM leaders remain, to be honest. I quite enjoyed the double battle with Tate and Liza and would also like to see them again (perhaps a wee bit older, wink wink).

If Steven isn't the Hoenn champion I'm going to set fire to everything.

Oh, yeah, Vito! Although the "Trainer Hill owner" and Vito Winstrate are 2 separate entities in Pokemon Emerald, I wouldn't mind Vito taking up the mantle of an enhanced Trainer Hill facility, or maybe as a Frontier Brain for some new "Battle Tent" area for the Hoenn Battle Frontier.

Yeah; I'm hoping one of the Glalie at least gets changed to a Froslass to add some variety (since all of them are female anyways, IIRC). The 2 Sealeo could probably be changed to other Ice or Water/Ice types as well, although they're kind of nostalgic for me, oddly.. XD I don't think I would mind if the roster is left alone until post-game, though, to preserve the integrity of the original Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald teams.

I'm hoping Sidney gets to use both Crawdaunt and Sharpedo in a full 6-member team during a rematch (as Sharpedo got replaced by Crawdaunt in Emerald...).

Oh, I know! It's just that when you mentioned characters that were kind of left in the dust, Vito Winstrate came to mind, is all. :p I don't remember the Trainer Hill owner at all.. was it the one where if you reached the top, you were given a Macho Brace? Or was that FR/LG? I don't think I ever finished Trainer Hill in RSE if that's the truth, care to enlighten me? o:

Froslass is Candice's ace Pokemon, replacing Abomasnow, so Glacia can't use her. The only available Ice types not taken by Ice specialists as ace Pokemon are Jynx, Cloyster, Dewgong, Delibird, Glaceon, Abomasnow, Cryogonal, Vanilluxe, and Aurorus.

Well Sharpedo is Archie's ace Pokemon, so it made sense that it was replaced by another Dark type.

Ah, I see what you mean! :) LOL; I get Trainer Hill confused with Trainer Tower a lot. XD In Pokemon Ruby/Sapphire, Victoria Winstrate gives you the Macho Brace... I think the Trainer Tower rooftop owner gives you a few uncommon items... I think the Trainer Hill rooftop owner gave me a Great Ball for completing one of the modes; after that, I think he doesn't give me anything and he just encourages me to improve my time, IIRC. {XD} I would guess that he gives out uncommon items, too. To be honest, I've only finished about 2 of the modes; I was trying to save the other ones for when I can restart my Emerald file, but it would be nice to document what that dude does give the player. XD

Ugh...Candice couldn't have just used Abomasnow as her ace? >.< She has an Ice-type (with an unusual type combination) Sinnoh Pokemon right there! Let Glacia use the Snorunt/Glalie/Froslass line! >.> I don't mind if Candice uses a Froslass as a party Pokemon member at all, but she has a perfectly viable Sinnoh Pokemon!

As for Archie, I didn't know that Sharpedo was Archie's ace...when I think of Archie, I always remember how his team barely has any Water-type Pokemon (shameful of Team Aqua's leader!), so I'm surprised that he bothered to use one as his ace. XD Seeing as how Juan's signature Pokemon is Kingdra, whereas both FireRed/LeafGreen Lance and Emerald Drake use one, I don't mind if Sharpedo is shared between Archie and Sidney at this point, seeing as how only one of the two employs Sharpedo as an ace..

Oh haha, I guess it doesn't help I'm thinking of the completely wrong place, haha. How do you think he'd be tied into the story more? He seems like a random NPC to me. :P

True, but if it ends up being a sequel, there could've been a time skip and things can happen over time, ya know~?

I mostly thought that he should be a Frontier Brain and give you a Symbol; the Trainer Hill looks like a fitting battling facility along the lines of everything else in the Battle Frontier. XD Maybe he could time you to do various tasks across Hoenn or randomly become involved in pursuing and stopping Team Magma and Team Aqua..? The only other thing I can think of is that he trains the player in Mega Evolution or something...

If Steven is not the Champion, then I will be okay with this.
Why? Because then he can be the endgame boss, as he was in Emerald to an extent, and I can battle against him all I want while I call him on my (hopefully included) Pokegear thing and see if he'd like a rematch anytime soon.

Hopefully, Wallace will also be doing his own thing now, maybe back to protecting the cave at Sootopolis. Then I can call him for rematches too.

I hope the new Pokemon Champ Wally.

Too late, Platinum changed her ace Pokemon to Froslass; now Glacia can't use it. This is a rule that must be followed in order to create type diversity.

As for Archie, I didn't know that Sharpedo was Archie's ace...when I think of Archie, I always remember how his team barely has any Water-type Pokemon (shameful of Team Aqua's leader!), so I'm surprised that he bothered to use one as his ace. I'm fairly certain Archie had at least one Water type on his team, because I could remember Maxie's ace Pokemon being a Camerupt. Both Lance, Juan, and Drake can't use Kingdra, because it's Claire's ace Pokemon. In fact, Dragon has the worst type diversity in the series yet, because only three Dragon types are free from being someone's ace Pokemon: Dragalge, Druddigon, and Flygon.

I actually think that the Hoenn Gym Leader lineup should be kept the same. I mean, FireRed/LeafGreen and HeartGold/SoulSilver kept the original gym leader lineups from the previous games.
Why would you want that? Norman had the worst lineup in the Hoenn for having his team made up of mostly from the Slaking line when there were more Normal types in the Hoenn region available for him to use.

I want them to keep the original roster - Although if we have new protagonists by chance I wouldn't mind seeing Norman as the champion. That's just something I've liked since I was a little kid though. You couldn't really do it in the original games because of the way it was set up, but if Nintendo takes more creative liberties that's something I would adore.

Also seeing Norman in 3D is good enough for me but hey :P

I want that because FR/LG and HG/SS stayed true to the original games by keeping the original Gym Leader lineups.

Also, I wouldn't consider Norman as the worst lineup because:
-two Slaking are incredibly hard to deal with at that point of the game, even with Truant.
-His Pokemon lineup changed in Emerald to have Linoone, Spinda, Vigoroth and Slaking

I'd like them to keep the original gym leaders besides Wallace/Juan, he's too easy, he uses a freaking Luvdisc. A new champion but have a battle with Steven post-game, like in emerald. Reaching out on a limb here, but I would love for a final boss battle against Red, even though he's not ties into RSE at all, I've always liked battling Red. Oh, and buff up the leaders and league's levels a bit.

I want Gyms and E4 to be actually difficult. XY was the easiest nonsense ever and E4 didn't even have upgraded Pokemon after you beat them the initial time.

I'm thinking a Mega Evo for each E4 Leader and maybe you can go back and rebattle all the Gyms post-game but the Gym Leaders will have upgraded Pokemon and a Mega Evo as well. I WANT MORE POST-GAME CONTENT.

Also, I REALLY. REALLY. want a partner who's Pokemon grow at the same rate as yours. Then you can't sweep them with a lv90000000 Rayquaza as they attempt to f*** you up with a lv12 Bidoof.

I really do understand that Pokemon is targeted for kids but nowadays, a large majority of the kids in the targeted age group think Pokemon is childish/"gay" and I feel like with a growing complexity to the game, they should look to target young adults who played Pokemon their whole life rather than trying to introduce a game to a new generation of kids.

I will like to see Wallace as gym leader so that Steven may be champ. Or maybe Wallace will be post game champ(?) and we get to rematch Steven at Meteor Falls.

I'd like some backstory on Phoebe, Drake, Glacia, and Sydney. They weren't even mentioned until you were breaking down the E4's door. Especially Phoebe. With clothes like that, you NEED some explanation.

I want redesigns on all the leaders as well, as I thought their clothes were sort of bland. I also want Marlon to make a cameo somewhere, as he's probably from Hoenn.

I think they should change the order of the gyms a bit. Maybe put in Brawly first, Wattson secnd and Norman third. Roxanne could be the forth and Flannery the fifth. After that, there's no more change, except for Wallace/Juan. I really don't want to see those two jokers again.

Because come on. Have you seen the amount of ladies they're hiding away under their gym?
