How in tune with nature are you? Do you fear the natural disasters that occur, do you take comfort in them? How often do you see live wild animals that aren't at the zoo, Squirrels, Birds, or dead on the side of the road?

I really am not in tune with mother nature at all. I hate it when a thunderstorm starts even, I can't deal with that stuff. I see wild animals pretty often, though it's usually deer. One time my dad woke up in the morning and went outside and saw a baby deer just laying down next to our house. We see deer a lot, and sometimes on my way to school I'll see raccoon or possums, one time I was walking with my friends and one of them stepped on a turtle which I then pointed out and we picked it up and put it by a pond.

Image related, it's my dad and the baby deer.

I can feel nature. I can feel its emotions. I know when she's mad or happy.

Just kidding. It's always mad.

I don't..have any connection to nature. I mean..I try to be as green as possible.
Keep being amazing.

I live in the country, so I see a lot of wild life. Waking up to see deer outside is a normal thing. I live in Missouri, we get tornados pretty often around here so I'm pretty comfortable around them now. The last tornado that was close enough for us to see was like 5-6 years ago when I went down to my family's lakeside cabin at the ozarks. We all just sat on my grandpa's pontoon playing cards and watched the tornado go by, luckily it didn't last long enough to hit anything.

I don't live in an area with a lot of life besides people. I mean, it's not really in the country or anything, it's just a suburb in Sydney. When the weather gets weird, I do get a weird sense in my mind that it was my doing, like I start to feel like the avatar, controlling the wind and water and such...

...yes, I am odd.

I don't know that being unafraid of natural events disasters necessarily means that you're in tune with nature, but I guess if it does I'm not. We get lots of fires in Summer here in Australia, so I dread Summer all year round just in the event that something should happen.

I live on a dead end that's surrounded by woods so I see a lot of animals. I guess the coolest ones would be deer, coyotes, storks, foxes, hawks, and I swear one time I saw a bobcat!!!! The most I've really seen for "disasters" are bad thunderstorms, blizzards, and flooding which are all pretty common so I'm not afraid of them. I mean I'm sure if a tornado ripped through my yard or a volcano erupted out of nowhere I'd be pretty afraid no matter how in tune with nature I am.

Anyway like Catholic Nun said being unafraid of natural disasters or weather doesn't come off to me as something that means you're in tune with nature. I really wouldn't say I'm in tune though I'd like to be. I def have respect for it though.

The only times I imagine myself to be "in tune" with mother nature would be analyzing the clouds; I can especially tell (I think anyone would be able to) when a thunderstorm is around the corner judging by the extreme dark clouds looming over the area, but I don't mind them to be honest unless I have to drive D: I remember telling my dad one day, randomly, "I want to see a hurricane!" Probably the craziest thing he's heard me say because what kind of kid in their right mind would want to experience a storm like that up close? Me, that's who. Back then, I was really interested in weather patterns, and systems so that's probably why I said what I said.

Like if I see a tornado heading my way I'm obviously going to be scared. Mother nature doesn't both me, I like Mother Nature. I enjoy doing activities like canoeing, hiking and camping. Here in Kentucky that happens a lot, and enjoy waking up under the sun in a tent. Natural disasters freak me out a little, but not much. Like if there's a thunder storm I like to watch the lightning, but I wouldn't be stupid enough to go outside. I see a lot of squirrels and deer here, just driving at night I often see them walking on the side of the road. It's kind of scary actually, because you don't want them suddenly running in front of your car.

My backyard is basically a zoo, but it's mostly a bunch of birds and lizards. As such, I see wild animals all the time, and sometimes they come to my hand!

I like to be around nature and I respect it in all of its forms, but I am not stupid. If there's a thunderstorm, I'm staying inside. :/
