How do you handle bugs? Do you kill them on first sight? Or do you run at the very sight of them? What kind of bugs do you like/can't stand?

I'm personally the latter. As sad as it is to say, I just can't handle bugs at all. If there's say, a bee or a wasp in the same room as me, I'll take all my belongings and just move into the next room. Don't want anything to do with them and for some odd reason, I don't have the stomach to kill them as well. Call me a wuss for my actions but eh - they just really, really creep me out.

I don't really put anything into the category 'creepy crawlies'. Maybe that's just the zoology major in me tho haha. I do however plan to keep quite a variety of tarantulas ranging in species. Along with those I plan on breeding my own roaches to cut down on feeding costs. I've kept snakes and a variety of insects in the past though.

Hopefully I'll be able to breed some T species though, wouldn't mind helping put some species back into the hobby.

I mean, how can you say no to this:
Spoiler:

I'm also going to be maintaining a bee hive for the college that I attend. But on the subject of creepy crawlies, I find cats and dogs to fit that description more than any insect, reptile or arachnid.

But back on topic, I don't kill any bug, other than mosquito or ticks that are on me aha. They all play a part in the ecosystem and have a very positive impact on the ecosystem and are essentially more important than us.

I absolutely hate bugs :( sorry to you guys who like to keep them as pets, but never leave me near one, for it will be dead when you come back. Apologies, but I just dislike them that much...

Depending on what, I kill or run from them. Spiders? Never going back to the room it was in. Cockroaches? Their blood shall be stains on my white walls. Hate the things. :(
Wasps and bees? Enjoy your bug spray. Anything else gets some sort of yellow card from me, which means I'll leave them alone. For now.

There was a time where there was a swarm of bees at my primary school a few years ago...it covered up a whole entrance to the main classrooms. What did I do? Stay on the playground till it was all over. I wouldn't move to class, I was too scared. I have a fear of some bugs, which led up to me becoming determined to keep my house bug-free.

Most bugs don't bother me. I'm ok with spiders and all that, even if they touch me. There's only 2 types of bugs that scare the ♥♥♥♥ out of me. I hate house centipedes (or any bug that looks like a walking spine) and cicadas. I really hate cicadas, there aren't even words to describe how much I hate those flying ♥♥♥♥s. Whenever I see those 2 types of bugs I kill them on first site. The last time all those cicadas rose from the ground a few years ago, me and a few friends got drunk and played cicada baseball, most kills win. I lost.

Edit: ...Huh, so I just learned that house centipedes are poisonous thanks to google and I always seem to get them in my room for some reason. I already killed 3 of them these past few months. Another reason to hate them!

Edit Again: Now I just learned that Formicophilia is an actual thing! I'm done with google for the rest of the week now.

For me, it depends on what type of bug it is and where I happen to be the moment I run into it. If I'm my bathroom or kitchen and see a spider, I'd continue with whatever I'm doing. Spiders scare me a lot, but most of the time, though, they don't make any movement unless you disturb them, so that's good. Usually, I'd grab one broom, hold it down softly so that it doesn't get squashed, and try sweeping it off. If I don't have one near me, then I would just leave it as is; it's bound to leave eventually, anyway. :] As for smaller bugs, I don't have much of those in my house, thankfully. If I do fine some, though, I'd simply use insect repellent on them.

Centipedes, millipedes, and roaches are icky. No matter the circumstances. These do not deserve to live. I grew up in the snowy tundra that is the southern tier of western NY. Being in The South is a difficult adjustment.

Most everything else is fine, honestly, so long as it's not in my bed, on my ceiling when I'm trying to sleep, or in my shower. If it happens to be in any of those places, it won't survive. I'm short, so most of the time they get to meet Mr. Vacuum or Boyfriend. But most don't make it through the diatomaceous earth, anyway. Shreds anything with an exoskeleton. Used to use baby powder, but DE is safer for the cats to be around.

As for a bug I like -- I like internal parasites, not external bugs. Female horntails are neat, though. They're like a dragonfly-wasp, it's so cool. And, obviously, a lot of moths/butterflies/dragonflies are pretty.

I hate them. They are the bane of my existence. Spiders are okay, but anything else is a no. I avoid mosquitoes, bees and wasps as much as possible and generally stay away from anything else as well. Bugs are fairly common in my area, so I have to deal with them almost everyday. Tbh butterflies are probably the only bugs I can tolerate. :(

I live in the woods, so I better be okay with them!

It depends on the bug mainly. If it's a wasp/bee/fly say hello to our electric flyswatter. That thing makes killing bugs fun!

If it's a spider, it depends on the spider. I kill small spiders on site, but I'm okay with larger spiders. I'll just put them outside if I find them inside. I've considered keeping a tarantula as a pet before. There's no way in the world my mom would allow that, but maybe when I move out. The bigger the insect/arachnid, the more I see it as an actual animal and not a pest.

When it comes to butterflies and dragonflies, I think they're really cool. In fact, during marching band camp, one of my friends and I would have a competition to see how many dragonflies we could get to land on our fingers. I won with seven dragonflies over the course of the couple weeks. It's kind of hard when they're constantly zipping around and you're constantly at attention.

I'm generally a bug-friendly person, as in, I rather take it and put it outside safely if I find one in my room somewhere instead of squishing it; I already dealt with everything from bumblebees to wasp spiders so far and oddly enough they always remained calm as hell when I picked them up and put them outside, where they then ran off :3

The only thing I -really- hate though are flies
seriously
they just circle around everyone
sometimes make even noise
annoy you
serve no purpose
and are often too fast to squish them
Honestly those are even worse than wasps to me >.<

I'm not really scared of bugs or arachnids.

Depending on the bug/arachnid I may or may not do anything about. Most bugs/arachnids I don't want in my room I will try to catch in a large plastic container and take them to the backyard or I'll open windows/doors hoping they go out that way, hoping this way is easier (most times it is).

Most spiders, I love them so I just leave them alone as long they don't try to build their web/nest in a location that I use a lot, other wise sadly I'll catch the spider take it to the backyard and again sadly destroy the web/nest.

Bugs I just tend to leave them alone (they are just trying to life their every day life like all of us).

I hate ants the most, so if I see just one or two anywhere I'm at, I'll go cleaning like crazy (take out everything in the desk, I"ll bring out the bleach, gloves, and paper towels) to prevent them from invading my space - if I try eliminate them they will just find their way back again and that smell won't go away.

Hate them, I kill every single one of them on sight, especially ones that have way too many legs like spiders, and centipedes. There have been multiple times where I've stayed awake a couple more hours than I normally would have just to stalk an insect in hopes of exterminating it before so I don't have to worry about it during the night >>;; Majority of the time, my parents aren't home to kill them for me so I've learned to do the deed myself. And my sister's a bigger baby than I am so she has me kill the ones in her room sometimes too...

For me, it really depends on the bug. If it's a praying mantis or butterfly, for example, I'll usually be the first to pick it up and put it outside / somewhere safer. If it's a spider, I have someone else kill them on sight (I usually get too scared to do that myself).

I know they are trying to live their lives, but I can't stand the thought of spiders in my house, especially because most of the ones I've seen are pretty big. :p

The rules are if it's inside you get killed if it's outside you get a pass. The way I see it I'm not going to randomly kill bugs outside when that's pretty much their home and they're just doing their own thing. When a bug comes into my house though that's my space and a very small space compared to the entire outdoors so f off. I get little spiders a lot in my downstairs bathroom, but I usually let it go because they just chill in the corners and catch worse bugs that come into the basement. Also at a certain time of year every year there is a ton of lady bugs that show up around my house and some get in, but I just help them out or leave them alone since they're also helpful bugs.

My sister apparently has the same philosophy when it comes to me squishing spiders, but that becomes non-existent whenever bugs are in her room >>;; She's worse than me since she has either me, or our parents kill them for her...

I can't stand any kinds of bugs. I kill any bug I see if I see them. I'm pretty sadistic when it comes to killing bugs. I like to see them suffer and die, so I do my best to prolong their death and torture them the way they torture my soul.

The only bugs that I'm really scared to kill are bees. I've only killed a handful of bees in my life, because I'm afraid that they'll sting me! Anything else and I can handle them pretty well after I regain my composure from freaking out when I see them.

I like bugs and spiders. I avoid killing them most of the time and don't really mind them. I hate snails, though. They eat all my plants, berries and fruits. >: [

I don't like bugs. At all. Now, I won't become paralyzed with fear and start screaming if I see one, but they're still a little scary (well, not so much gnats or flies, they're more annoying). So I kill whatever bugs I see. Especially spiders, wasps/hornets/bees, mosquitoes, and ticks. I really don't like those ♥♥♥♥ers. And I've been stung twice before. And some species of ants are extra freaky.

Also, if you think its funny to place a large insect or spider near me, know this: I will grab my rock hammer, kill your bug, and then proceed so beat you with my rock hammer. So don't try it.

Ironically, Volcarona is my favorite Fire type pokemon, and its a huge ass moth....

Ewww bugs are gross >.< Some bugs I hate are cockroaches, spiders, mosquitoes, flies, and ants, you know what, never mind, I hate all of them. I don't know why but bugs just freak me out. I especially hate the wolf spiders that are like as big as your hand, those things are just scary.

It depends on the bug. If it's spiders, I literally freak out, run out of the room and make someone kill it. D: If it's just a bug or something, I can kill it with no question. I actually have arachnophobia, which takes a huge impact on my life.
