The only thing I really got angry over back in the day was when my parents bought healthy food instead of junk food. Now I see why they did it obviously, but thank then I had no common sense and all I wanted in life was Pop Tarts, haha. Constantly whined about how all my friends had them, and how we were the only crazy people not to buy them, and eventually my rents gave in, and I was so happy, I think I ate half the box immediately after we purchased them. Yikes. e__e

When I was younger, the reasoning behind why we did things the way we did bothered me the most, especially as a schoolchild. I'd get incredibly frustrated that faculty were executing something in a very inefficient manner, and I'd be happy to tell them how I thought it could be done better; they often had little to say or were surprised that a 9 year old actually came up with a better way every so often.

That reminds me of their parents, in a way. I try to show them how to do things more efficiently (such as change the channel on the DirecTV receiver), and they insist on doing it their way instead of at least trying the way I showed them.

I'm appreciative that my parents were open to suggestion when I was so young like that – it meant a lot to me. Though, it is a bother when they ask me to do something like configuring a remote or programming some other appliance… I am amazing with computers but not with stuff like that. :X

So I went to the podiatrist and found out that the fracture in my heel may or may not have even been there, and if it was it was it was on my growth plate. The radiologist made a judgment without knowledge that I'm still growing, so based off of the X-ray alone it would've been a rather significant fracture if I was an adult, but I'm not so no. It did hurt and I was still limping at a point, so I imagine the fracture was on my growth plate but healed by the time anything was done. What was really getting me was an aggravated ligament that holds my arch together that I was overstretching by running, so I'm going to be taking painkillers for it and stretching it on stairs and icing it every day… so I didn't get off completely healthy. It's cool though :P

What kind of painkillers? Because Percocet is basically the best thing ever.

To be fair Percocet is the only one I've ever had but my reaction to it was to feel very sleepy and like I loved everyone, which was really great. I could definitely see how people could get addicted to it.

Nothing serious, just over the counter stuff. He said two Alleve in the morning and two at night, ice it for 10 minutes in the evening, and once a day, on the stairs with the balls of my feet braced on a stair and my arms against the wall, gradually bend my feet down and forward to hug the side of the steps for 5-10 minutes. I also have to get those special soles that old people wear if I want to run, which will be cool.

I could tell he was pissed for coming in because he thought I had an actual fracture on my foot and couldn't walk so he made our appointment early because he thought it was important. Radiologists tbh :/

Also I loved how this totally just went to hardcore prescription drugs, what is this lmao

It went there for me because I always assume if someone actively mentions taking painkillers it's something more than over-the-counter stuff...probably because I'm very quick to take painkillers whenever I'm in pain cause I figure that's what they're there for so if I'm actually mentioning it as part of healing then it must be stronger stuff.

I take Tylenol for painkillers, but usually what I end up taking along with them is a bunch of allergy pills. They get especially bad in the fall and winter seasons, so I always have a generous supply of Claritin in my pantry, haha. Allergies are terrible, you aren't actually sick but still feel like you need to take days off to recover. :[

I take painkillers with soda if I want a quick cure to my headache, but if I want a natural way to kill it, I'll drink tea.

Like virtually everyone else in bum♥♥♥♥ West Virginia, my grandmother is addicted to prescription painkillers. It's pretty standard alongside an incredibly thick and unique West Virginian accent, noticeable ignorance about the world, and a kinship of being flat broke 100% of the time.

…I love hearing stories from my parents about life in West Virginia… it's like a whole other world. Did you know that there's a fabled family around WV known as the Whites of Boone County, and are the only thing of interest there besides the Lazy River? They were huge drug lords and bought off the law enforcement because nobody cared, and even had their own TV show for the absolute hell of it.

The Wild and Wonderful Whites of West Virginia is the documentary done on them. It was previously on Netflix streaming. I loved it. It was crazy to think there was this straight-up crazy hillbilly family out there causing trouble and going wild. They do all sorts of drugs and live off government welfare. If you love hearing those stories, this documentary is literally amazing. I've seen it...five times now, with several family members and friends. Unbelievable what that family gets up to.

The Whites were something spoken all hush among West Virginians from what I could tell, as they we're incredibly infamous for their doings around Boone County. I had read nothing and heard nothing besides an account from two people born and raised in Princeton, which I imagine is different than official documentation and such. Wacky they were, as I heard from my parents. :P

The last true outlaws I'd ever known, and they really were. Treatment and all.

Haha, well if you get the opportunity to watch that documentary, you'd get a kick out of it. :P

I think the locals do tend to be hush-hush about their opinions on the Whites. They aren't known for their rationality or calm demeanor. :D

West Virginia natives are the kind of broke to where my uncle was asking his friend's parents in high school why they were referred to as "aristocrats" since they lived in a gated housing community. That may give you a judgment of the demeanor the Whites held in conversation, given most had never me them and had heard through mere word of mouth alone. :P

Painkillers...

I used to take direct meds against the PSch which worked temporarily, yet they came with pretty annoying side effects on me (getting really tired, thus sometimes just spontaneously falling asleep, or other things), as well they also got quite expensive over time so I had to stop taking them. :c
Right now all I can do is to take anti-headache things whenever I'm hallucinating to -at least- get rid of the headaches...

I imagine some medications cost more than others because of their chemical complexity - my atomoxetine has an >$60 co-pay for a 60mg/day 30-day supply whereas my lithium carbonate is less than $1 for a 1200mg/day 30-day supply, even though my lithium does way more for me than the atomoxetine does.

Also speaking of that I just remembered I'm going off of my meds completely as of a few days ago, so hopefully that'll be fun. I don't like being woken up at 4 in the morning for a mood stabilizer and anti-Autsim pills every day, it cuts into me waking up early enough to spend time with the above before she goes to sleep. :p
