Are any of you planning on upgrading your phone to something a bit better? If so, what do you currently have and what do you plan on upgrading to?

Or even if you aren't planning an upgrade, are there any phones/tablets out there which you're looking forward to using even if you don't plan on upgrading?

Personally, as I've got the HTC One M7 (which is still running as good, if not better, than when I first got it) and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, I really doubt I'll be changing them any time soon.
I'm definitely looking forward to testing out the One Plus One, LG G3 and Galaxy Note 4 once I can get my hands on them though.

I got my Samsung Galaxy S4 last year as a birthday gift, and I don't really have plans of upgrading anytime soon either. I generally use my electronics until they're busted and can't be used anymore - I don't look for replacements until I absolutely have to.

I'm still on the Samsung Galaxy S2... I don't really feel the need to upgrade as I don't really use my phone much anyway. I use it a lot as a podcast player, but I don't think any new phone would give me a better listening experience except for more convenient battery life. New phones are great and I love to go to the store to look at them, but at the end of the day I just don't feel the need to get a new device.

I got a Nokia Lumia 520 for Christmas this past year, and so far it's a phone that I'd say is good for its price. If I wanted to upgrade from this phone though, I'd probably go with getting the Lumia 525, which has 1 GB of RAM instead of 512 MB like the 520.

However, to try something different, I wouldn't mind purchasing an unlocked iPhone at all either. Too bad I have an AT&T GoPhone plan, or else I'd be able to use data on the go as well if I had an iPhone.

I'm the type of person who gets bored with phones relatively quickly so upgrading to the latest phone would be something that I'd do often XD First it was the iPhone 4, but I didn't have a choice to change to another phone because it stopped working for some odd reason. Got the BlackBerry Z10; thought I would give the phone a chance, but that was a mistake ;; Couldn't put up with it for a year before switching back to the iPhone, and at the time, the 5S had come out a couple weeks ago. Even now though, after spending 7 months with it, I want to change to the LG G3 once it comes out.

I currently have an iPhone 4 that's slow as ♥♥♥♥ and crashes with simple tasks like loading a webpage so you could guess I'm DYING to change my phone.

Problem is is that I have 1 year left on my contract and I refuse to pay for a phone (not to be confused by the phone service, which is an entirely different thing) since the phone market is so disposable so I have to wait a year to get another free phone. I'm thinking of going with a Samsung Galaxy Mini, if it's available from the free phones list in a year. Eitherway, I'm sick of Apple and I want a change so I'm thinking of trying an Android phone to see how they are.

I'll assume that with your iPhone 4, you have iOS 7 installed to it if it's running slow like that.

Not sure if that will be a great experience of Android. If you want to stay small, the Moto E/G/X is a great line, and a fantastic experience.

Not sure If I'm going to upgrade anytime soon. I usually get bored of phones 6months to a year, but I haven't grown tired of my Moto X yet. I'll probably still upgrade to the X+1 if it likes it enough, but I don't think I'm going to get the next upgrade in the family. I wouldn't mind a new Nexus 10 to come out this year eaither.

I thought I was sick of Apple before switching to the BlackBerry Z10, and boy was that a mistake >>;; Thought the absence of decent apps wouldn't bother me, but it did. Now I'm back to another iPhone, but right now I'm convincing myself to get the LG G3 once it arrives in Canada. Not entirely sure if this might end up the same was as the Z10, but I'm guessing it's probably 100x times better than any BB phone XD

I've heard that the Icon should be a great phone! 930 not released in Europe yet either...

Blackberry is still better in security, messaging, emails, ect. business type stuff. Plus its keyboard both physical and virtual is the best, if not one of them. And you can side load android apk's. :P

I made the upgrade from the Samsung Infuse 4G, to the iPhone 4S. Best phone upgrade ever. I went to the dark side and I ain't coming back.

I don't think I find myself upgrading my 4S to the 5S/5S sometime soon, seeing that the new iOS will still be compatible. However, I'm leaning towards doing so because I would like to have a bit of an update in terms of hardware specs.

It definitely wouldn't hurt to have an upgrade at all though, because I'm sure running iOS 8 on the iPhone 4S probably won't be the smoothest, in comparison to running it on an iPhone 5S or 5C.

That would take too much effort XD The physical keyboard was a plus for most people I'm guessing because I had a friend who loved his BlackBerry, but was hesitant in upgrading because of the virtual keyboard.

imo, blackberry is dead to me...but alas my dad is a loyal fan to it. It's good for people on business, like my dad who is a businessman. He has a Q10 and he's really happy with it. He uses the keyboard more than touchscreens, because he claims that touchscreens waste his time and can't deal with the latest in technology.

exactly my reasons. :P 5S/5C has a better processor than the 4S so it'll probably be extremely buggy should I install it on the 4S. iOS7 is working fine right now, but imagine the power that this next iOS has.

Honestly have no idea why business people have such an attraction to the BB brand \: I mean, I guess it's because it does the basic necessities in an efficient way...? I'm not a business person so I wouldn't understand the appeal, but yeah, BlackBerry's pretty much dead to me as well. Never going to try one of their phones again XD

The S2 is still a great little device though. I've still got mine from a couple of years back and bring it out of retirement now and again to have a bit of a tweak with it. Obviously it's much lower on the spec chart now but still a great phone.

How's the usability of Windows Phone? I've never got around to using one (other than quickly while I sort out my sister's issues with hers) and don't think I'd ever buy one, to be honest. I've always wondered how well they perform though.

I find that I'm the same in regards to upgrading/changing phones. For a long time I was always switching to a new phone after roughly 6-8 months because I was bored of it or wanted something better.
Ever since I've had the HTC One M7, however, I haven't even been tempted to change it for something else. I was initially tempted when I heard about the HTC One M8 but as soon as I saw the design I wasn't interested. Plus the fact that it is barely an upgrade to mine, I definitely had no interest in changing.

I think I'll probably feel the same about the Note 3 as well so will probably just end up with a third phone, rather than replacing one :)

First question: last smartphone, if any?

Exactly! And with my company's trade-in plan, it makes it even more tempting because considering I have a relatively new phone still (the 5S), I could still get a decent amount back to use towards an upgrade. My constant need to upgrade phones isn't necessarily because I want the latest one on the market, but 90% comes from being bored of it :c My sister scolds me for that since she pays the majority of my phone bill.

Once I get bored of my phone, I usually just install some new software on it! There are always new custom ROM's to try out, but even if I don't want to swap out the entire system, I often times find myself trying out various themes from Themer by Mycolorscreen, which has awesome and different homescreens easily available. I even found this the easiest way to impress my iPhone friends :P

Yeah, that's the thing I don't particularly like about the iPhone. Unless you jailbreak it, there's no way you can customize it to your liking \: Even if you do, there's all these different little apps that you have install/download in order to change things drastically. That was getting to convoluted for my taste, and that's the same way with the OS X. So lately, I've gone so far as to already look for Android home screens/themes, planning for the LG G3 XD

All these constant phone releases are a waste of money that saddens me to not see go to better things.
My sister feels the same way. She's been loyal to her iPhone 4 ever since she got it, and only plans to upgrade when needed to, unlike myself. It might be because I love technology significantly more than she does, but I always enjoy equipping, and acquainting myself with new phones. I've gone through my fair share, and the only OS that I haven't played around with is the Android OS, which I'll be trying once LG G3 comes around.

On another note, anyone else interested in the OnePlus One?

I got the Sony Xperia U and I'm not planning on upgrading it anytime soon. The only time I would is because the app updates on the phone is REALLY outdated or my phone is on the verge of breaking or is already broken.

Before my Xperia U, I had a Sony Ericsson J105a, which is like a more sophisticated version of the Nokia brick, lol.
