Hi, Im Ingo, new to the forums. Was looking for an active pokemon community and stumbled cross the pokecommunity website. Really nice site so I think ill stick around. Anyways Im retired battler that played pokemon but predominantly 4th gen. I recently started summer vacation and thought I'd play a bit of competitive for fun. Everythings changed so much from Gen 4 days and im not too sure whether I prefer Gen 5/6 over the good ol days. Anyways, heres a team I recently gave a go at, however I dont know its not at its best yet. Any advice or recommendations on sets or replacement pokes would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

.::Team At a Glance::.

Landorus-Therian (M) @ Leftovers
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Hp 252 Def 4 Attack
- Stealth Rock
- U-turn
- Earthquake
- Hidden Power [Ice]

My lead, he comes in sets up stealth rock, walls teams and gets any additional damage on foes before being picked off. HP Ice for Gliscors, u-turn to just hit hard and get away from foes. Earthquake is always a good STAB move.

Rotom-Wash @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Will-O-Wisp
- Volt Switch
- Hydro Pump
- Rest

My specially defensive wall, Rotom W is a great asset to this team. Its bulk helps me come in on many different foes and proceed to Wil-o-wisp and hydro pump. Rest allows me to regain and chesto berry helps me wake up straight away from first turn rest.

Charizard (M) @ Charizardite X
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature
- Earthquake
- Fire Punch
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw

The sweeper himself, this thing once set up can demolish teams. Charizard can come in on certain pokes and proceed to set up DD's. Once given a chance this thing can seriously do some damage. Charizards wide movepool gives it good enough coverage.

Keldeo @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Justified
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Secret Sword
- Icy Wind

The team needed a decent water type, along with keldeos tremendous move pool, this thing can take a hit and hit hard. Good revenge killer, was considering putting calm mind suicune in here, however I needed a revenge killer and something to out speed pokes.

Latias @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 72 HP / 184 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature
- Psyshock
- Draco Meteor
- Defog
- Healing Wish

Latias' role in the team is to make sure any entry hazards are dealt with. Keeping rocks away are important especially if I want to keep charizard in the game to maintain a sweep. Draco meteor to hit hard, psyshock for fighting types or bug types.

Bisharp (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Defiant
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Knock Off
- Sucker Punch
- Iron Head
- Swords Dance

The late game sweeper, Bisharp is a tank and this pokemon has got me out of many different situations. It can come in on the lights of Aegislash and take it out without any problems. Knock off to get rid of my opponents items, sucker punch good first turn move. Iron head for the STAB attack.

Thats the team, not too bad so far peak about 1400 with it today on PS. Probably still needs a bit of work but as I said im only just returning into the competitive scene after a long retirement. Constructive criticism will be helpful.

A Timid nature is pointless on Charizard X, as it mainly specializes in physical attacks. Adamant or Jolly may be what you're looking for here. Flare Blitz or Outrage are stronger alternatives over Fire Punch or Dragon Claw, so take your pick, as Charizard X needs a strong STAB nuke, IMO.

Ah yes of course, I forgot to change this, I was wondering why charizard was doing little to no damage against my foes. I used to run special attacking zard but forgot to change nature. With regards to flare blitz and outrage their good options, but outrage will force me to be locked into that move and flare blitz does incur recoil damage so im not sure whether they will be great replacements. How does the team look to you though?

Therian Landorus gets better mileage using Stone Edge or Knock Off over HP Ice; the former for coverage and the latter for crippling item-dependent opponents (except Mega Stones).

Wash Rotom needs 44 Speed EVs to outspeed Jolly Azumarill; take those EVs out of Special Defense.

Hey bud this is a nice team. I think CB Azumarill could be a bit worrying for you since your Rotom-W isn't physically defensive, and this team offers it a fair few opportunities to come in and keep clicking play rough to beat down your team. For this reason I'm thinking you should change to physical defensive Rotom-W so he doesn't get eaten and you can buy yourself time to set up a win condition. Also great for beating other stuff like Mamoswine, Scizor, etc. Another worrying poke to switch into could be mega Venusaur with sludge bomb, which 2hkos Charizard [who doesn't have roost], I think you might want to toss Roost on Latias over Healing Wish so you can have another switchin to M Venusaur besides Bisharp who is worn down quickly against defensive cores. These changes are also important to have a nice check against Keldeo, who could tear a whole in this team since it gets secret sword.

paired to kaori & vrai
landorus: gliscor is not that common now and with your current ev distribution you need all the power you can get, edgequake also gives you a type of coverage so i think you should change that hp ice to stone edge. fun fact: hp has been nerfed this gen to a lower bp and landorus incarnate does a better job at special attacks.

rotom-wash: right now your team doesnt have many bird spam checks and talonflame/mega pinsir can rek you. if you have laddered with this team you might have noticed, i would suggest changing that to a physically defensive wall to stop talon in its track. tbh in the age of knock off, chesto set's tend to become useless. leftover with pain split/will-o/hydro pump/volt switch wash will do the job better.

charizard : you might wanna edit your main post for the ev changes as i read that spa was a mistake. dd/dragon claw/flare blitz/ and for the fourth slow you can either use eq for covverage against heatran or roost.

keldeo: keldeo becomes godly when equipped with specs and deoxys-s does a better job at revenge killing. play around specs/scarf tbh you can even try an expert belt set just to bluff a specs and hit the counter.

others seem fine, its a good team and no common weaknesses come to my mind right now. anyway keep playing on the ladder and you yourself will notice that you need some changes.
