Even though they might be trying to minimize casualties and are just trying to flush out 5 wherever she is, it's annoying as heck that they disregard the political ramifications of such actions. Then again this is just anime so most viewers don't really care if the fictional Japanese Diet passes PATRIOT Act like anti-terrorism laws curbing civil liberties. @[email protected]
yes netto this is anime shut up lmfao

I don't know about the main girl, really. Her sections of the episodes are the weakest since I honestly don't give a single ♥♥♥♥ about her and, as a result, her sections don't really do much for me. But the fact that we don't know jack about her can't just be ignored. Her character can go anywhere, really.

Also more intense than Death Note? Really? I don't know, I probably watched Death Note during my "shounentard" days so I probably enjoyed it much more than I would now (at least the first 25 episodes..) and was always on the edge of my seat. Not the case over here, tbh. This isn't that thrilling for me. This series does beat DN easily when it comes to looks and music, tho. And, who knows, maybe it'll top DN in the characters and plot aspect as well. Time will tell.

And yeah, agreed - it became the terrorist vs detective type faster than I thought it would lol

Using "KittoCoin" or a Virtual Currency to buy stolen credit cards from illegal trading websites? Interesting ideas this anime is perpetuating.

The anime is taking a step in the wrong direction.

The premise of the series was Terrorist vs Police and for the last 2 episodes at least it's starting to kinda die out.

I personally dislike the character Five, I think they were trying to do something similar to Death Notes Light vs L. But she doesn't come close to L nor Light. She just comes into the series to play, try to beat Nine and come out as a winner, while having no problem killing off innocent people.

Let's not forget the amazing English and
face full of emotion while using said amazing English.
I'm not much of a chess player, but the whole chess match made no sense. Sadly it was so bad that the animators messed up(Chess pieces placed on the wrong places on the board).

I don't know what kind of black magic they used, but Lisas chest is growing troughout the damn episode(not thats a bad thing). But still a stupid way to get more viewers. At least she finally got plenty of action in the latest episode.

Many people complained, the last two episodes did have many problems. But I still really enjoyed the latest one and it was really intense and entertaining. I hope they at least step it up a little for the last 4 episodes.

Guess who's airing episode 9 on the 11th. Totally not planned.
It'll be the 12th when the episode is released for me though.

Definitely not planned.

Well, that sure was disappointing. I remember when I thought this'd turn out to be amazing when it started off. With it coming to an end, all this anime gets from me is a

out of ten.

From a 10/10 to a

outta ten. How the show fell.

And it is all because of Lisa and

What exactly did you find disappointing on this series? It was well written and very interesting to see, were you expecting something different maybe?

Just out of curiosity.

You didn't ask me, but I'll just tell you my opinion and many other fans opinions.
Spoiler:

Shibazaki was a great character with a lot of potential, but they did pretty much nothing with him after the 4th-5th episode.
It went from Terrorist vs Police(that was pretty much the basic premise and they ruined it) to a wannabe Light vs L rivalry. Five was an awful and uneeded character. The felt more real in the begining(About the first bomb, how the building collapsed and many other stuff) and then when Five came into the picture they threw away the realism. From the awful Engrish to the "chess" game(which by the way made no sense). Five had too much power in a FOREIGN(since she worked for the US) country. It's not logical for some super genius with a expiration date have such huge influence/power. I mean come on, she almost crashed a plane into the airport or not defusing the bomb in the subway earlier. And then at the end she kisses Nine.
We pretty much had no character development for Nine and Twelve.
I liked Lisa later on in the series. But the way she was written was really bad. She was uneeded. Also the end could have been done a lot better. But at least the visuals and OST and OP/ED were pretty good. I had huge expectations, I enjoyed it. But it didn't live up to what I expected.

No worries. I just wanted to see the opinion of someone who didn't liked the end or felt somehow disappointed.

I'd like in defense of the series say the following:

(Heavy spoilers about the whole series, please do not read in case you haven´t watched)

Spoiler:
  • Five was a needed character from my point of view. It's the only character that grew up in the same place that Nine and Twelve, therefore the only one who understands how they think. You have a point when highlighting that the rivalry between them takes the series to a new level a little bit unexpected after the format it was following before. However I don't find it less interesting.
  • Lisa, well, I need to agree that she's not my favorite character, but she's the link between the normality of the real world, and the terrorists. She suffers some kind of self-imposed Stockholm Syndrome, which leads to further development of Nine and Twelve, who seem to show a human side when they are with her (the final scene before... the bad thingy lol).
  • Shibazaki comprehends the whole thing without even being part of the terrorist group. He event sympathizes with our beloved the Nine & Twelve after understanding what they seek. Unfortunately I do believe something was missing. For example many viewers (including me) thought that at the end Lisa would be his daughter, which would deeply link most of the characters into a circle. They decided instead to include Shibazaki's daughter as a new character that plays a minor role. A bad decision in my opinion.

Said the above, I strongly agree with you at something: the realism. I think when the story sacrifices the format it was following previous to Five's debut it also drops some stuff that made Zankyou no Terror more serious in several ways.
Even if I loved the outcome, it doesn't look very professional.
