We have Mega Evolutions and Primal Evolutions, does anyone else think it would be great to have more types of evolutions?
Imagine Metal Evolutions. It'd be awesome, makes the Pokemon part steel type, just imagine how cool something like Metal Charizard or Metal Mewtwo would look.

I don't think that would be quite necessary. Besides the fact that I'm pretty sure Primal Evolution is just Mega Evolution, Mega Evolution has already tip the scales in favor of all the fan-favorites, and I don't think we need something like that again. And Metal Evolution? That seems a bit...odd, don't you think? Sounds similar to just giving characters Metal Caps and calling them new characters in Mario Kart. Just my opinion, to each his own, I suppose.

Pretty much Primal Devolution is just another form of Mega Evolution as both allow the Pokemon to regress to an original form that they were able to in the past, only Primal Devolution is just that much older.

The concept of Metal Evolution seems...way too much of a Yu-Gi-Oh concept to me, as they had monsters that could only be called forth by morphing others with a Metal-Morphosis card, not sure what the card is called.

Not going to lie, my first though about metal evolutions was... well, actually, something like this.

Spoiler:

Fully metal, yo!

Do agree though that I don't think we would get such a thing nor that they are necessary. It does seem to me that Primal evolutions may be just alternate versions of Mega evolutions for the Hoenn legendaries.

Not sure why Steel type would be the only special one, too. I have heard of Metallic Pokemon in some fan MMORPGs, but I still don't really understand. I can't really seeing Pokemon favoriting one entire type over all the others for an unneeded reason.

I thought it seemed more like a Digimon thing, at least if they got armor and weapons.

Wouldn't Metal Pokémon evolutions be basically (more of) Digimon? It already has a good lot and even a sort of plot / theme of Digimon --> MetalDigimon.

Beyond that, doesn't the canon already kinda have this? If I recall correctly, most if not all Pokémonδ have Steel in their type.

The only place I have ever seen Pokemon delta species is in the Trading Card Game.
(Although, as I don't watch the anime or read the manga, it's possible they may have appeared in each
without my knowing it...)
Not all of them have the metal typing, it's mostly the fully-evolved cards that has the metal typing in addition to
their other type.

For those who don't know:
Pokemon Delta species are cards that has types(colors) out of the oridinary.
For example, Tyranitar would normally be Fighting (the trading card version of the rock type)
or Dark, but Tyranitar-EX Delta species is Electric. (one of the few fully-evolved Delta cards not to also being Metal.)

Anyways, I agree with the others about Metal Evolution being un-neccessary.
But having Delta species pokemon in the games may prove to be interesting...

It's a interesting concept, but one not needed. Mega-evolutions were just recently introduced and still not every pokemon has one, so i think all the pokemon would need a mega-evolution before Gamefreak would even think about adding another one and considering pokemon will have more generations to come, that could be a while.

Gosh, Mega evolution is already Digimon-like, so a bit more would be like shrug shrug.

Remember the shadow pokémon from the Colosseum games? Now, I didn't play them so I don't know for sure, correct me if I'm wrong, but at least I think they were some special forms of pokémon that they turned into when captured in shadow balls or something. Shadow Lugia, anyone?

With a new spinoff, or maybe even main series game, featuring a plot and evil team with goals to turn everyone into cyborgs (so as to make the pokémon world and all pokémon more effective, customizeable and powerful faster) we could have Metal forms of pokémon. Metal evolution, or something.

Steampunk style region, please, maybe with a region that initially looks fine and normal but gradually turns more steampunky or sci-fi like as the evil team plants its roots and infiltrates or downright takes over...

tl;dr, Metal evolution would be amazingcool if done something like this imo. But I don't see it as very likely at this stage.

In the Colosseum games the evil organization Cipher turned ordinary pokemon into "Fighting Machines"(Shadow pokemon)by ways of a machine as they would steal pokemon from trainers to do so.

This. haha.

I don't think it would be a great idea at the moment. I'm still getting used to mega evolutions and such. It'll make the game too broken in my opinion

I came here expecting a thread about metal bands evolving, or Pokémon evolving into rock stars or something...

Jynx would be the lead singer, naturally. Some would think Jigglypuff, but it's not metal enough.

Instead of evolution how about implementing it sort of similar to shiny pokemon. Like have it be half the percent it is currently of Shiny and Half of Metallic. No stat changes similar to shiny pokemon unless they decided to give metallic pokemon a small defense raise. But I honestly think this would be a better idea!

For some reason a pokemon band with actual pokemon sounds like a very cool ideal

They'd be called "The Rustboro Trombones"

Look up "I wasted a masterball on a Freaking Goldeen" might not be metal but who cares? The band name would be Metal Sound. Get it? It's the name of a move
