I have read so many posts in this forum complaining over and over and over and over about broken Moves.

Specifically:

Substitute
Stealth Rock (and other entry Hazards)
Knock Off
Scald
U-Turn/Volt Switch

If these moves are constantly complained about, why do the game developers keep putting them in in newer generations? They can slightly change the moves effect all they want, but these moves are ruining the game. Us trainers are flocking the Smogon or other private Pokemon server where Pokemon are divided into tiers and bans are constantly being done to moves and Pokemon. It's starting to get silly and ridiculous.

I don't really get what you're trying to say here. Those moves aren't broken in the slightest unless you're not prepared for them. For example, if I have a team full of Flying, Bug, and Fire-types, and I don't run a Rapid Spin/Defog user, then of course entry hazards are going to run through my team, because I wasn't prepared for them. The same can be said for the rest of those 'OP' moves, they're not really broken or OP, they just require you to play a little different, is all.

Hell, if some of those moves weren't in the game, Pokemon would lose a lot of its competitive flare.

Nobody has ever complained about Knock Off until recently this generation, therefore Knock Off would have no chance of being removed.

No move truly ruins the game, its the players themselves that do that. People complain about Stealth Rock but an equal amount of people use Stealth Rock regardless, otherwise the move wouldn't be popular at all in the first place. U-Turn and Volt Switch are not broken because one can be stopped dead by Ground types, and a smart trainer can predict if a U-Turner is going to switch and use a move that would devastate both the Turner and the potential switch is possible. Heck, USwitch gets kept in check by Stealth Rock, so one keeps the other in check.

Substitute is not as OP as it used to be. 25% of a Pokemon's HP is nothing if you play smart and use a Pokemon that can break through. Heck, Sound-based moves just flat out ignore Subby, so no more problems if you can Roar or Boomburst your way through.

Scald could probably do with a small downgrade, either in BP or Burn chance.

Hahahah. Hoo boy here we go.

First of all, I opened this thread expecting a rant about dark void or something. Secondly, totally spot on what you're talking about -

(dangit. Posting YouTube videos from mobile is very tedious. If anyone can fix that for me before I get home, pls do)

But anywho. They're not "ruining the game" so much as just "they are the game". Well, if you play singles OU smogon rules on showdown and stuff. But yeah, that's the game. Don't like it? Me either. That's why I switched to doubles. IMO it's less broken than singles and has a way less monotonized playstyle. Entry hazards are far lesser of an influence in battles, as is just about everything else you listed. Some people love the way singles OU is right now, and hey. That's just the way they play the game. Pokemon has the glorious advantage of containing within it's competitive scene, several different communities which back different types of play. All of Pokemon's official tournaments for example, play noooothing like smogon matches. Give the world champ videos a watch sometime. It's a lot more exciting than watching 30 turns of switching in a 50 turn battle where entry hazards do more damage than attacks.

Game Freak doesn't really care about the competitive side of Pokemon. You can't really tell them what to do. Anyway, there's a thread that discusses the effect of certain moves in the game right here so direct your future complaints in there, thank you.
