Okay so after everyone reaches level 20, use a master seal on them to promote them to an advanced class. And then when they reach level 20 in that class, then they stop growing.

If you want to switch classes, at level 10, use a second seal on them to change their class, and they go back to level one. And then get them to level 20, and use a master seal to promote them to an advanced class on their new class. And then get them to level 20 in their advanced class.

Is that right?
Yep, you got that right pretty much right. Now the Master Seals only work on classes that can promote, so that sets their level limit at 20 at the base class. Where as the Taguel and Manakete classes are not able to promote, so their level limit is 30.
Like Judge has said your spot on.

Villigers and Dancers can also go to level 30

Villagers are the exception (only Donnell starts as a villager) they can go all the way to level 30 but its pointless (as they are poor combat units) just get them to level 15 (for underdog ability) then second seal to a normal base class (Donnell can become a mercanery or Fighter) then level up the normal way mentioned before.

I already changed Donnell to a Mercenary. I did it at level 20, so he picked up the other skill Mercenaries have when he switched. I didn't think that would happen, but it was a nice surprise!

But I'm confused how I'm supposed to level up Olivia so late in the game. I grinded with everyone else with the Reeking Box. How does Olivia gain experience? I know she dances, but what does dancing actually do, and how to I make that option appear when I select one of my other units? I want Inigo to have the best stats he can, but that can't happen if Olivia is stuck at level 1! :(

Dancers are used to give units another turn. So, if a unit completes an action, Olivia using dance on them will give them another turn. She's primarily a support character as a Dancer, so just keep her in the back if you want to use her. It's not a really big loss in not having a Dancer if you're just strictly playing the main game right now. And, it's fine if Olivia is low level when you get Inigo. It just means you'll have to grind more to get Inigo's stats up to par.

Donnells epic as a Mercenary.

Olivia gains experiance by dancing (the purpose of dancing is that the unit she dances to gets another move if they have already used their move) but she can gain experience from fighting to. A good trick for grinding her up levels is do a map with weak enemies and just keep having her dance for your units without the units really attacking. (its important the ememy is weak to they can't harm Olivia much). As soon as she reaches level 10 second seal her.

But doesn't that prevent him from getting possible abilities?

Yeah, Olivia can also be a Dark Flier if you train her and promote her to be one; so I highly, highly recommend that if you want the Galeforce ability for Inigo because you won't get that for him any other way. ;__;

Fortunately Olivia can also use swords, but be careful with this because she has really low attack and defense, so, just concentrate on giving her the exp for killing blows~

I have a hard time doing that for the risen that I battle because my stronger guys always end up killing them with a counter attack, so I hardly ever get a chance for someone weaker to get the killing blow. And now Olivia is the only character I have that I haven't used a Master Seal on.

Also, once my female mothers get Galeforce, should I go to the Paralogue and recruit their child?

It's probably gonna take you awhile to get Olivia to level 20.

And yes, the ideal time to recruit the children is after the mother has learned Galeforce. You just have to make sure that Galeforce is in the last slot in order for it to be passed onto the child.

Why does Donnell's child have the ability to learn Galeforce? I read that somewhere. I don't remember where.

Because a parent passes his or her class options down, but females can't be fighters so the option of Pegasus knight is given insted.

Can you have characters marry multiple characters, or...? Because I noticed that characters who are married still have S level support available for opposite gender characters.

Also, I got Cordelia and Stahl up to level 15 in their second level classes, so Severa can get Galeforce and Aegis. So I went into her prologue and got her. Thinking about it, I would have really liked her to have Galeforce and Aether. Those are my favorite abilities so far, that I've noticed. But Aether is for only Chrom and Lucina, and Inigo since that's the way the marriages went. /sigh

I love Severa. She's so sassy and short tempered!

Oh gods, another thing I hate in this game? I hate the counter skill; it's sooo annoying. ;__;

Like, if you played Hard Mode and above, and you're strong enough, you can potentially kill your own units if you don't have enough HP to tank the counter hit. XD ugh.

Nah, once your units marry, you can't marry them again.

I just got Lissa and Vaike to level 15 and got Owain. Trained him up all on his own by fighting Risen, and now he's a KILLER Assassin. He has Galeforce, Counter, Vantage, and Avoid +10. I am so excited. He's my favorite! And his personality is amazing.

I LOVE counter so far.

Ohhh you got Owain! Yes, he's amazing. 8D Personally I use him as a Swordsmaster to get Astra then train him as a Dread Fighter, cause he can do anythinnnnng~

I LOVE counter so far.
Then I hate you D<

Nah, joking, but, it's just sooooo annoying. XD

I finally got all the kids with the skills that I wanted them to have... and then I decided that I wanted to challenge myself since I got to the point where the chapters were just breezing by and they were super easy.

So I copied my save file, and purposely killed off all of the parents except for my unit and Chrom. And then I threw out all of my items. So now I'm going to play on that file for now on, and try to beat the game without any of the parents. Losing the parents is so heart wrenching! But now I only have 36 units! I saved Anna and Say'ri since they aren't parents.

You haven't seen the broken as hell abilities in Lunatic+ then.

As I beat the game already I'd like to hack and get some unobtainable items and skills, though I never know when that's going to be possible.

Cool! I think the kids make the game easier, but yeah, I should try that out sometime. o:

Right now I'm trying a challenge where I can't promote any of my units, which is.. pretty fun so far. C:

I have, trust me~ Have you played the Apotheosis DLC? o:

Try it on the secret levels, haha~ They're even worse.

Yeah, it's pretty difficult but managed to beat it in the end. (and all the future past DLCs)

I just don't have anything more to do in Awakening so I stopped long time ago. Being able to hack will probably get me to play this again briefly.

Aye, I hate it too. It's kinda weird how Counter was so useless in PoR and RD, but is annoying as hell/really useful in Awakening.

Which why Hard is highest difficulty I will put the game on....and Rouges And Reedeemers 3 is probably the hardest optional map I will bother with.
/Zekrom isn't very good at FE.

Also, what are Dread Fighters like? They're one of those DLC classes so I never really bothered with them before (only had enough to get the Golden Pack and R&R3 before).

.....ah, I really should start playing this again, finish my Hard mode run (but so much gaming **** to do....)

You need to finish the game on Lunatic to even play Lunatic+. It's a very rewarding to finish the game on Lunatic+ and Apothesis, though, but at the expense of constantly experiencing ******** like this and resetting (i.e. frustration):

Dread Fighters are very useful because of their balanced stats, access to Resistance+10 (which is very useful for characters with low resistance), and ability to use 3 weapons - sword, axe, and tome.

Oh....that looks terrible. Luna+ almost every time? Yeah, still staying away from that.

Dread Fighters sounds cool though.

Luna+ is actually Luna that activates 100% of the time. There are other skills like it like Pavise+ and Aegis+, as well as Hawkeye, which is a broken ability in itself.

If you want to spend some money on DLC, make sure to get Rogues and Redeemers 3 which grants access to the important Limit Breaker skill.

I paired Virrion and Pan. Their Critical hit rate is off the charts. Didn't ever use Pan till the second play-through, but she is pretty good.

I still can't beat that one Xenologue in the future where you have to rescue like 3 kids at once. Hard as Pokeballs.
