Let's discuss about cuisines and everything related to it! What are some of your favourite types of cuisines (Chinese, Italian, Japanese, Korean, etc.)? With that said, what are the dishes of those particular cuisines that you savour the most and can't get enough of? Are there any dishes you wish to recommend to other members? Go~

I am straits-chinese, but I find myself liking actual chinese food more than our "unique" cuisine. I also love Japanese food, mainly due to the attention to freshness and taste. I remember during a trip to Tokyo and also the first time I ordered "omakase" sushi from the chef. It was rather pricey, but man it was so delicious and the seafood is just so fresh.

I have a preference for asian cuisines, Japanese in particular. I like fish and things with a lot of taste.

I like american food really. I really like italian, mexican, and chinese but like, when I went on my last vacation we went to Naples which is supposed to be the birthplace of pizza and they're supposed to have the best pizza in the world I guess but really I've had better pizza from domino's, and all we did when we were at Naples was go to every restaurant we could find because when my dad was in the Marines some of his friends were stationed in Naples and they just went on and on about how great the pizza was but we just ended up leaving in disappointment. And I didn't really care for the mexican cuisine when we went on our cruise around mexico, so I'm not really holding high hopes for chinese cuisine. Japanese is about the only thing that really has any hope for me because I know their food is going to be top notch. I just have to keep believing because I mean, that would just really suck if american japanese cuisine was better than japanese japanese cuisine.

Japanese cuisine is my absolute favorite - like I said in the other food thread, I can always go for Japanese food and if I had it my way I literally would eat Japanese food every day.

I also like Shanghai cuisine a lot, it's my favorite kind of Chinese food.

For non-Asian cuisines, I also love Italian food. There's this awesome family-run Italian deli that's about a 5 minute walk away from my house, so that's where I get most of my lazy-day meals.

I used to always just say Italian is my favorite, and while I do like it I've been eating a lot more different food lately too! I love Thai and Indian food, I like Japanese sweets but not so much the more savory stuff, way too much fish in Japanese food for me. I love the different flavors of different Hispanic food, too. I've yet to find a cuisine that wasn't really meat dependent, unfortunately. My least favorite is probably Greek, although I can handle some eggplant moussaka.

If'n I hungry, I says, I deputize ma' frin's: "Rope up them greens hoss!" I hollar. "Hike up that cookin' wares buckaroo!" I yell 'em. "Gather up them sauces girl!" I asks real politely-like. "Grab them thar steaks boy" I shouts (needs a buck in'a pants, that 'un) an wit' a big grins, I go: "we gon' to town ya'll! Yeeeeeee-haw!"

Bar-Be-Que is my favorite. It requires natural charcoal (burnt wood) and fire. Don' let nun'else tells ya other 'ise.

Just... I can't pick a culture specifically. I love pretty much everything I eat - except pickles. **** those things. But if I really needed to choose, then Japanese, followed closely by Italian. I love fish. I love pasta. Put it all in front of me and every single thing will be gone in minutes. Mexican food is also pretty incredible, because of how spicy and cheesy it can be. <3

Food. I love thee.

When it comes to favorite cuisines, my number one favorite would have to be Italian. This might be due to the fact that I am a quarter Italian.

Man I just ****ing love food. I am willing to try anything and I usually can appreciate just about any dish.

I want to say I love Chinese food, but I should probably really say I love American Chinese food. My favorite dishes tend to be some kind of fried rice. But I honestly love almost everything they have at a typical take out Chinese restaurant. Moo shi is my favorite named dish.

I also love Mexican food. Orrr once again I feel like I should say I like Tex-Mex because that's probably more of what I have had than actual Mexican food. Churros, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, chalupas, fajitas, quesadillas, corn tortillas, chicharrones, like I could keep going, but you get it. Also the rice OMFG

I also really like Irish food. I love a lot of starch and meat. A potato in any of its forms is ****ing delicious. I also love a full on meaty breakfast. Lots of stews are great, soda bread, seafood, corn beef hash, shepherd's pie, beer bread, also I enjoy dark beers.

Chinese food FTW!

Authentic sesame chicken and General Tsao's/Tao's/Tso's (the original was Zuo's) chicken are unbelievable, along with some steamed veggies. Throw some sticky rice in there and...

Mmm...

I also fracking love pizza. That would be Italian-American, wouldn't it?
