I really have NEVER paid for my subscriptions.
Paying about $50 or w/e for 1 year is stupid. No matter how great your anti-virus it still cant detect EVERY flaw in your computer.
Besides, after 1 year, if you dont subscribe, your antivirus is pretty much useless to the point of just occupying space in your computer. At one point, I remembered that Norton Internet Security '05 really SUCKED SO MUCH RAM that just sometimes the start menu would struggle to appear. My CPU was running at 100%. I had to remove all those animations of the Menus etc. Then I just removed it lol. Now I use PC-cillin. Not paid of course.:P

I hate all anti-virus software and firewalls. I LIVE ON THE EDGE OF EXCITMENT!! All they do is slow down your computer down, especially Norton. They also get annoying. So I have none. I don't think I should be announcing that. :P
P.S. I have AVG Free though, not running. I want to unistall it but then Windows will become annoying in saying I have no Anti-virus software.

I use AVG and it's always been fine. It's a bit slow compared to NOD32, which I used to use before the update licence ran out, but it works which is what counts. And it's free. ^^

I use McAfee...
It may not be free, but it has won the test on a german PC-TV-Show.
So I think around 25 are a good price...
But for free one AVG and AntiVir are nice ones though.

I don't like Norton, it does some weird things. I used to use Vet. I still think NOD32 pwnz, but AVG is great for the price XD

Kaspersky's not bad but I still say NOD32 pwnz all. (I've used AVG, NOD32, Kaspersky Lite, Norton and Vet in the past.)
