Is it possible to have an image appear full screen when you walk on a certain tile?

it would be so i could add the hg/ss thing were you step in a cave or important place and a image appears.

Spherical Ice's tutorial should help. You can display custom images by hacking the Pokédex comlpetion diploma screen.

If you're using fire red you could replace the pre existing ones. That way they appear when you enter the map.

using the SWI function of VBA-M you can get the real offsets of any compressed image, use these function to get the Tileset, tilemap and pallete of the entry images, In Ice Silver I replace all of these images.

ok sounds good! i used that to find the title screen offsets!
