I like Pokémon. I like top tens. Because of that, I'd like to know what your top 10 is. Feel free to explain why! Here's mine.

10. Braviary
9. Gliscor
8. Manectric
7. Hawlucha
6. Honchkrow
5. Flygon
4. Empoleon
3. Latios
2. Mienshao
1. Sawk

Here's explanations on why I like these Pokémon in particular. It's in these spoilers as it's rather text heavy.

Spoiler:

This Pokémon is awesome. It is based on the Bald Eagle, one of the coolest birds to exist. The fact that it also has characteristics of a soldier makes it even better. I also love its Shiny colours. It’s pretty decent in battle, but I wished I had the chance to use it more. I found it anticlimactic that it is found at the very beginning in Victory Road. Thankfully, it was made catchable earlier in White 2, but I never got the chance to use it since I bought Black 2 instead.

This is probably the most adorable Pokémon ever. No, I don’t think Fennekin, Eevee, Snivy, Pikachu or any of those mascot Pokémon are cute at all, I think Gliscor has one of my favourite designs of any Pokémon. That aside, the reason why I started to like this Pokémon is the one in the anime. I just love how attached and childish it is. The said Gliscor has inspired me to raise my own when Platinum released. I started to like it even more after using one in my in-game team. From its usefulness in battling, to its lovely Shiny forme, and the fact that it’s a gliding scorpion, this Pokémon has got into my Top 10 quickly.

When it comes to favourites, it seems as if a Pokémon I use in a team is bound to become one of my favourites. Manectric is no exception. I always pick up one of these Pokémon in Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald because of how fast and powerful it is. I’ve used it too many times to the point where I like it for more than just its viability. I like its design, I like its cry, I like what it’s based on (a raiju) and I like its cool Shiny forme. I like its Mega Evolution too, but its stats and design are somewhat lacking. Then again, that’s how I feel about most Mega Evolutions.

First off, I love birds, especially birds of prey. Secondly, it is two of my favourite types, them being Fighting and Flying. When Hawlucha was released, I had the stupidest grin on my face, since I really wanted a fighting bird. It wasn’t the fighting bird I thought of at first, but the one I thought of wasn’t as well designed as Hawlucha. The fact that it’s also based on a luchador is nice, albeit a little silly. I haven’t used one yet, and I don’t really plan to because of how underwhelming its stats are, but that doesn’t stop it from being a great Pokémon. Much like the Pokémon above, it has an awesome Shiny that reminds me of a supervillain… xP

If I never used one of these in my in-game team, I wouldn’t really like it as much as I do now. Honchkrow is a fun Pokémon to use and experiment with, since the one I used in Diamond had both Super Luck and the Scope Lens, resulting in a lot of critical hits. Unfortunately, my Diamond file is lost, but the amounts of time and effort on this Pokémon made me love it even more. Not only it is pretty good in battles, but it has, much like the other Pokémon above (or below, for that matter), it has an amazing design. How could anyone say no to a crow with the attitude of a mafia boss? :P

This is a Pokémon that holds a special place in my heart, as well as the Pokémon below. Flygon always has been one of my most favourite Pokémon for its great design, great typing and how useable it is in the main story. In fact, Flygon is my most used Pokémon in any in-game team, at a total of five times. While its stats aren’t anything impressive, they’re still enough for it to pull through in most battles it’s in. Also, it has a nice Shiny, but you probably saw that one coming… xP

Ooh, Empoleon. This Pokémon means a lot to me. The very first Pokémon game (or third, to be exact) I owned is Pokémon Pearl, and I always wanted this game because I always liked to watch the anime as a kid. When I first saw Piplup, I knew I had to use one of them when I get Pearl. Once I got my Piplup to evolve and saw this Pokémon for the first time, I’ve kept it in my party for many years. This Empoleon was also the very first Pokémon that leveled up to 100. I still have it after 6 long years, even though it has one of the worst nicknames I could come up with. That, and its great typing and awesome design (if a gentlemanly penguin isn’t awesome, I don’t know what is) has made it one of my most favourite Pokémon.

This Pokémon always has been in my Top 10 since 2008, where I first seen it in that wreck that is called Pokémon Heroes. Even then, I always loved Latios for its special abilities, its design and, dare I say it, its rather heroic role in the movie. I just always love this Pokémon for those reasons, nothing else. These reasons however are strong enough for Latios to reach #3 of my Top 10. Latias is a great Pokémon too, but not as much as this Pokémon. Latios’ Mega Evolution, however, is the most underwhelming Mega I’ve seen. I really want to like it, but its awkward design makes it a little unlikeable. It doesn’t help that it looks similar to Mega Latias.

The very first time I saw this Pokémon when pictures of the Unova Pokémon were leaked, this Pokémon has become one of my favourites. In my opinion, Mienshao has one of the best designs of any Pokémon, if not, the best. It may be bit of a stretch to say this, but there’s a lot to like about its design. It’s identifiable with a silhouette, it has colours that are easy on the eye, it looks similar to the many things it’s based on and seems to give off this vibe of sophistication to it. I believe it’s because of that face… xP Its design also made me like weasels, since before I didn’t care much for them. But it’s not just its design I really like; it is also really great in battles. That thing really helped me in many battles when I used it in two of my in-game teams for how fast and powerful it is. It’s abilities can also give access to a wide range of combinations, such as Regenerator + U-turn. Because of it’s potential at battling; I plan to use one in competitive battling.

This Pokémon is my favourite for many reasons it’ll take a while to explain everything. But the thing that most Pokémon fans I come across question me why I like Sawk so much. To put it in a reason that would make sense, Sawk is my favourite Pokémon for the reasons why most people have it as their least favourite. By that, I mean its potential in battling, the fact that it’s a Hitmonlee/Hitmonchan “rehash” and most of all, its design. Granted, this Pokémon has its flaws, and there are a few things I don’t like about it, but I feel as if this is one of the most underrated Pokémon ever.

To start things off, I’ll talk about its its usefulness in battles. It can be found early in most of the games it’s in (was for Black 2/White 2, until the Dream World shut down), and for how powerful it is this early, its decent stats have helped me throughout the entire story. For some reason, I like it a lot to the point where I could never go without one in my party, which resulted in silly stuff like owning three Level 100 Sawks. While I don’t have plans to use one, I also know that it’s amazing in NU, a tier in competitive play.

Another reason why I like Sawk is because it’s a Hitmonlee/Hitmonchan “rehash”. Well, it isn’t as much as a “rehash” than it is a reboot, but that aside, why do I like Sawk for this reason? Hitmonchan was one of my favourite Pokémon. Yeah, it doesn’t justify much, but Sawk reminds me of the times when I really liked Hitmonchan. I don’t like it as much then I used to years ago, but admittedly, it and Hitmonlee’s designs are more expressive than Sawk and Throh’s. That doesn’t mean I don’t like its design, as I’ll be explaining this now…

I really, really like its design despite its flaws, such as how it’s not easy to identify with a silhouette. The shade of blue, the angry expression and the fact it’s based on an Oni makes it look quite cool. Unfortunately most people dislike its design because a) It’s not an animal, B) It wears clothes or c) they say it looks like Bert. (Also, am I the only person who thinks Sawk doesn’t look like Bert? :o)

Well, here’s something I got to say. Pokémon are meant to look weird, and Game Freak has been doing this since Pokémon was made. I’m thankful that the series has made creatures that wear clothes because it gives a lot of personality to that said creature. It could also give potential to some stories, like how humans created clothing because they we’re inspired to create more after seeing a few creatures wear it. I’m even more thankful that in this series there are more than just animals. If we were to have nothing but animals, then Game Freak would run out of ideas much faster then what most people say. Whenever I see a Pokémon that’s based on some supernatural spirit, a human or whatnot, it makes me smile because it not only gives more personality to that said character, but to also the world of Pokémon. Because of that, there isn’t a Pokémon that I truly hate, and I kind of wish more people thought of this, since Game Freak do put a lot of time and effort to please their fans.

Honorable Mentions:
Latias, Arcanine and Marowak

Want to know a funny thing about this Top 10? Four of the Pokémon in it have died. Latios died to save Altomare in the fifth movie while Manectric, Honchkrow and Mienshao get killed by the Ultimate Weapon in Y. In addition to that, Marowak has been killed by Team Rocket before, but if it were to be in my Top 10 (It originally was!), then half of my Top 10 have experienced death before. :P

There is a ton of Pokémon I like, haha. Though, if I were to list my top ten, I'd say first would have to be Vulpix. I'm fan of this one mostly due to appearance; to me, it looks huggable, cuddly, and generally just super-adorable! If Pokémon had existed in real life, I would definitely consider having this as a pet. Plus, it evolves into Ninetales, which is very viable competitively and whatnot due to it having Drought ability.

Up next is Togekiss. Like Vulpix, this one is cute as well, but when it comes to battling, it could be extremely dangerous. It has Serene Grace, which doubles effects of all attacks that it strikes, allowing it to take better advantage to moves such as Air Slash, causing opponents to usually flinch and do anything ib response. If it manages to set up Thunder Wave beforehand, it's able to get through foes much easier. Due to similar reasons as Togekiss, I'm also a fan of Jirachi and Shaymin-Sky (latter is banned, however, which sucks).

I'm very fond of Gyarados, as it's quite easy to utilize as an attacker and whatnot. Plus, its design is fierce, which I believe complements the Pokémon without any trouble at all. Because of similar things, I like Scizor, Metagross, Tyranitar, and Garchomp, too.

Number ten would likely have to be Swampert.

1 Murkrow

Pimpkrow. If there is such a thing as a Pokesona this thing would be mine. An intelligent creature who is up to no good. Also wears an awesome hat. Was ready for the greatest Hat Simulator 7 years before it even happened.

You just had a heart attack because you just realized you will never be as classy as this bird.

2 Swellow

This thing is so damn smug. Just look at it. It's sick of looking at you and your pathetic weak nature. GTFO. Also Toxic orb + facade nonsense.

3 Ninjask

It's a robot bug. That goes so ****ing fast you can't see it. Last time we had a robot bug that did that he looked kind of stupid. Thank god game freak got it right the second time. Also lol baton pass

4 Hawluncha

Cake or death? Too late, you're already dead, should have answered before this thing decided you looked like a good target for Flying Press.

5 Ariados

It's a spider with horns and a sick ass colour scheme. This thing is ready to ruin your day. And therefore this thing is awesome. If only it was better competitively.

6 Sceptile

So you might think to hide from all of these awesome kick ass Pokemon which basically want you dead that you could hide in the jungle. Big mistake, nerd. Now you got this damn ninja lizard on your tail who can cut you with the leaves on his arm. And once I told a blind man who was totally screwed up on acid how Sceptile could do that, and all he could say was "holy ****". True story, nerds.

7 Skarmory

So you decide "oh my god **** this **** I'm going to the mountains" and you think lol no more pokemon SORRY SON NOW YOU'RE IN THE TERRITORY OF A STEEL BIRD WITH WINGS SO SHARP PEOPLE USED ITS FEATHERS FOR MAKING SWORDS

you're pretty much boned now

8 Bisharp

"hahaha leaves that can cut you that's so stupid" k so we got you a pokemon that jumped right to sharp metal blades happy now

oh maybe not because your arm is missing because Bisharp is just that badass

9 Buizel

no top 10 pokemon list is complete without a cute pokemon that isn't out there to kill you. Unless you're Charizard. Then he'll use waterfall on your tail. Sorry bruh.

10 Samurott

You know how I said there were cute Pokemon on this list? Well guess what we already used our obligatory one cute pokemon so now we're in daddy-with-a-belt territory again. Except this daddy doesn't have a belt. He has swords. Tucked in his arms. And a giant horn that will pierce your heart. And probably kill you in the process.

I don't know if I can give thorough explanations for each choice as I'll probably be here for an hour if I try to do that, but I can give a rough list. My favourite 5 are pretty much set in stone, while 6 to 10 could probably change on any given day, but I'll do just go with what I'm feeling at this moment. Also I'll keep it to 1 pokemon per evolutionary family as it would be boring to have both Haunter, Gengar, Murkrow and Honchkrow on my list.

1. Murkrow
2. Jolteon
3. Haunter
4. Cresselia
5. Heracross
6. Infernape
7. Togekiss
8. Greninja
9. Whimsicott
10. Tyranitar

10. Bibarel - Simply put, one time while playing Platinum, I found a shiny Bibarel. I solo'd with that thing all the way to the Elite Four, where it was unfortunately KOed by a Thunderbolt from Flint's Magmortar.
9. Golem - I used one the whole way on my SoulSilver Nuzlocke, which led me to believe Golem is better than I thought. And, while training one day, I found a shiny Graveler, which once traded, got me my second shiny, Golem.
8. Greninja - I decided that I would name my Froakie "Blubs" two months before X and Y came out. Blubs eventually turned into a Lv. 100 ninja frog, who was good at destroying things, especially Diantha's Hawlucha...and practically everything else on Diantha's team.
7. Infernape - Infernape is soooo much better than Unova's elemental monkeys it's not even funny. It's #7 on this list simply because I've only ever used one Infername on my team.
6. Typhlosion - I ALWAYS wanted a Typhlosion ever since I laid eyes on it, and last summer I finally got one. It's higher than Infernape on my list because Typhlosion was the lone survivor when I beat Red in SoulSilver.
5. Blaziken - Blaziken definitely deserves to be in Ubers, because it is sooo powerful. It was the leader of my original Pokemon Y team, easily being the first to Lv. 100. I just can't seem to go through X and Y without a Blaziken, as I've used 3.
4. Charizard - My Charizard on LeafGreen was also a leader, as he always seemed to be the first to level up. I also have a shiny 6IV Charizard on my competitive X team, which destroys all.
3. Gengar - Gengar wouldn't have even been on my top 10 list a couple of months ago. But, ever since I started using one competitively, I've found that it is a really good Pokemon, not to mention its design.
2. Krookodile - This is probably one of the coolest looking Pokemon in my eyes - come on, it's wearing sunglasses! I've also trained one of these boys up to Lv. 100.
1. Emboar - My first starter, and my mascot. I've raised two of these bad boys the whole 95 levels.

They're in no order and to be honest there are a ton of Pokemon that could fit into my top ten. SO, my current top ten would be the first ten Pokemon I can think of that I love right at this moment! Again, in no particular order.

1. Pikachu
2. Totodile
3. Espeon
4. Bellossom
5. Goomy
6. Litwick
7. Togekiss
8. Absol
9. Flygon
10. Altaria

All of them have just been a part of my life in a big way in some way or another. That or in some cases was just a case of love at first sight and just they never wavered (in this case I'm mainly talking about Goomy and Litwick since they're more recent favorites but. yeah.).

Bellsprout
Staryu
Clefable
Jynx
Steelix
Mawile
Cradily
Florges
Banette
Golurk

I would put some honorable mentions but I started to list and it was getting insane looool. These aren't really set in stone I have a large group of favorites that change in and out from being in the top just depends on my mood.

I'd say my favourite pokémon are:

1: Empoleon

This is my favourite Pokémon without doubt. Since I started playing Diamond, it has been Number One. Its design it's amazing, and he is a really great Pokémon. (I'm not talking competitively-wise, I don't care about competitive).

2: Feraligatr

Another one of my starters. I don't use it nowadays to play with friends, but it was my best Pokémon aside from Empoleon in HGSS days.

3: Hydreigon

He took ages to level up, but it was worth the effort because he is a really amazing Pokémon.

4: Articuno

I've always loved Articuno since I started playing Pokémon. His design is so great.

5: Charizard

My first starter ever. It'd be my favourite if he was Fire/Dragon and not Fire/Flying. Also, Charizard X is one of the few Mega-Evolutions that I really like.

6: Absol

It's not the better battling-wise, but the design is so great. Also, his Mega-Evolution is amazing.

7: Darkrai

It could've been even higher, but he is there. Really amazing Pokémon. I started to like him in Mystery Dungeon, and thanks to Pokémon Ranger: Shadows Of Almia, he became a Top 10 Pokémon.

8: Gengar

Great Pokémon. I have had one in each of my last three Pokémon Game playthrough, (Official Games and Fan Games) because it helps a lot. Also, the design is one of the best in Pokémon history, I think.

9: Rhyperior

This Pokémon and Feraligatr were my best Pokémon in HGSS and I started to like it very much at that time. The design is the best among Electivire, Magmortar, Lickylicky and him.

And last, but not worst, 10: Suicune, Raikou & Entei.

I had to put all of them into the same place because they are equally great to me. I have all of them in shiny form & normal form. They are so great, design-wise & battling-wise.

Forgive me for my bad explaining skills, but I'll give it a shot.
1. Gastrodon (I personally think Gastrodon is absolutely adorable. I've been using one named Sheldon in my X version and he's just so fun to use. I love his design, his typing, the experience of using him on my team, and basically anything else you can think of)
2. Aurorus (I really bonded with my Amaura named Pandora when I used him in my Y version. When he evolved he just became a really great Pokémon and he was the first who's affection was maxed out on Pokémon Amie)
3. Aggron (I used one in my White 2 version named Komuso and loved him right away. I loved using an Aggron so much that I bred for a shiny Aron named Nobel and used him in my X version. I usually have a rule of not using a type of Pokémon twice, but I just had to break it)
4. Sharpedo (I'm a shark nut. I can't help but put Sharpedo in my top list. I'm going to be using one in my Alpha Sapphire version)
5. Haxorus (I just love the idea of a dinosaur thing with a giant ax on his face. I used him in my Y version and he was great)
6. Tropius (I love this guy's design so much. I can't wait to use him in my Alpha Sapphire game)
7. Eelektross (I love Eels too. The fact that he's an electric type with levitate was really exciting to see as I'd been waiting to see a Pokémon with that ability for a while)
8. Yanmega (I don't really know where my love for Yanmega came from tbh. I just looked at him and thought "wow that's a cool Pokémon" and fell in love)
9. Walrein (When I was little, I had a Pokémon card from the Magma vs. Aqua set with Team Aqua's Walrein on it. For some reason, I really loved that card and carried it everywhere with me. I created an attachment to Walrein because of that card and it has stuck for years since)
10. Houndoom (Houndoom actually held the number 1 spot longer than any other Pokémon has. When I was little, I loved dogs and anything to do with dog Pokémon. I thought an evil looking dog with horns and bones all over it was awesome and it really stuck with me for years. I've never had the opportunity to use one in a team, but I'm hoping to use one during my Omega Ruby playthrough)

1. Scrafty- It's adorable and it definitely has its charms. <3 I could explain why I love it so much in further detail but I don't feel like doing story time.
2. Hydreigon- Was the reason why I got the Unova games in the first place (before Scrafty grew on me a lot).
3. Heliolisk- I love lizards and it's a neat looking Pokemon.
4. Houndoom- Former favourite Pokemon.
5. Mightyena- Cool design. Doesn't do well in competitive play. :(
6. Manectric- Wolves are my favourite animal and Manectric is definitely a cool Pokemon.
7. Arcanine- Fluffy tiger dog. Nuff said.
8. Skarmory- Oh man, this Poke is on almost all my competitive teams. Lovely design too.
9. Salamence- I love Dragons and Mence is cool looking.
10. Gliscor/Noivern- I can't really decide on these two; they both have a unique desgn.

Hooray for briefness!

So, I can't just say "all of them" and be done with it? It's actually hard for me, especially because I haven't even used half of them all, which is why my list is changing relatively often.

My all-time favorites:
- Venomoth: It was my highest leveled Pokemon on my very first full team I ever made back in Pokemon Blue. Unfortunately it was victim to a corrupted save file...
- Celebi: As funny as it may sound, but it's mostly one of my all-time favorites because I never managed to get one up untill X and Y. In Gold it was the only missing Pokemon in my Pokedex and first time I heard of it, the events where it was distributed were already over. In Ruby and Sapphire I heard there was a bug that would let it spawn randomly, but in my version of the game it was already fixed.

My nostalgia favorites:
- Flygon: wanted to have one the moment I saw Drake use them, but it took a long time until I figured out how to get one. Since then it has been my favorite Dragon Type Pokemon
- Kyorge: It just looked so cool on the box art of Pokemon Sapphire, which is why I used it a lot in that game.
- Gardevoir: I'm not exactly sure when I first decided to use one, but since then it has been on so many of my teams. It's also funny how it was designed as a male Pokemon, but is treated as a female {XD}

My "just happen to be my favorites at the moment" favorites:
- Jirachi: It's kinda similar to Celebi, I never got my hands on a legit one, which is kind of sad, tbh.
- Gastrodon: Since I skipped DPPt I only recently started using gen 4 Pokemon. Who needs Quagsire, or even Swampert, if he can have this awesome guy? I like it's design quite a lot and it's such a tank in battle.
- Traunmagil: kinda similar to Gastrodon
- Gallade: same reason as Gastrodon and Traunmagil
- Azumarill: Who doesn't like a hard hitting aqua bunny that looks like a certain sweet for kids?

There are still a lot more that I could mention, like Scyther, Scizor, Gliscor, etc.

Honorable mentions to: Lapras, Ludicolo, Darkrai, and Empoleon.
[Lord Summerisle:] "Now, those children out there, they're jumping through the flames in the hope that the god of the fire will make them fruitful. Really, you can't blame them. After all, what girl would not prefer the child of a god to that of some acne-scarred artisan?"

[Sergeant Howie:] "And you encourage them in this?"

[Lord Summerisle:]"Actively! It's most important to teach new generation born of Summerisle be made aware that here the old gods aren't dead."

[Sergeant Howie:]"And what of the true God? To whose glory churches and monasteries have been built on these islands for generations past? Now what of Him?"

[Lord Summerisle:]"Oh, He's dead. He can't complain. He had his chance and in modern parlance. Blew it."
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[Lord Summerisle:]“And the ministers fled the island never to return. What my grandfather started out of expediency, my father continued out of love. He brought me up the same way: to reverence the music, and the drama, and the rituals of the old gods; to love nature and to fear it, and to rely on it and to appease it when necessary. He brought me up —”

[Sergeant Howie:]“He brought you up to be a pagan!”

[Lord Summerisle:]“A heathen, conceivably, but not, I hope, an unenlightened one.”

Liking this counting down trend

10. Smeargle - This thing is such a wacky and wonderful pokemon I never would have guessed it would be so useful competitively. Smeargle is not only an excellent and interesting concept and design, but the single best competitive opener in the game if you ask me.

9. Infernape - Infernape is like a weird mix between Charizard and Lucario, except it's an ape. It has a really good design that suits its typing and competitive uses and is by far my favourite of the Sinnoh starter pokemon. It might not be as destructive as Blaziken or Charizard, but it has a decent movepool and good potential as a sweeper. Also Nasty Plot.

8. Whimsicott - I'm not even totally sure why, but there's something about this pokemon that has appealed to me ever since I first saw it and my affection for it has only grown. I think it's just another one with a really amazing design.

7. Feraligatr - Feraligatr is another pokemon with a really well executed design. On top of that, it is an extremely underrated pokemon. Whilst it may not be the best water-type option it is more than capable of destroying enemies in game and even has some degree of competitive potential if used well I believe.

6. Kangaskhan - I've loved Kangaskhan ever since I first used one on Stadium. It's an interesting take on an animal native to my country, with a good movepool and a design I love. Then it got given one of the most destructive mega-evolutions created to top things off.

5. Flygon - Design perfection. Flygon has arguably got the most well-executed design in the entire game and is a really unique and interesting pokemon. It's excellent when used in-game and useful within its own competitive tier even if it is outclassed by the other two dragon/ground lines.

4. Staraptor - The first early bird to actually be useful, Staraptor has rather decent stats, access to some pretty good (and appropriate) abilities and has some seriously destructive options in its movepool. Not to mention it has one of the most badass designs in pokemon.

3. Sceptile - Another amazing design and with a killer moveset Sceptile has never failed me in-game (I've not used it competitively). My very first starter was a Treecko which might have contributed, I don't know. I'm also a fan of its mega although I do wish it had a better ability.

2. Charizard - Charizard has a simplistic, iconic and all around excellent design and it has pretty good mega forms too. It was always my favourite Kanto starter and has been a go-to pokemon for me for a long time. Charizard was also among my first level 100 pokemon.

1. Lucario - Lucario and its mega form are both fantastically crafted design, they really give off a cool, powerful, serious vibe that I like. Not to mention it has the stats to back it up being able to do tonnes of damage as both a special, physical or mixed sweeper. As an added bonus I'm a fan of its characterisations in the anime.

Thinking about it, the usual suspects are all there but also some pokemon I'm surprised to find I like so much.

10: Shaymin is one of the cutest Pokemon ever. I like both land form and sky form, but land form is so much cuter.
9: Ampharos-I first used Ampharos in Soul Silver, where I fell in love with his design. His mega evo is one of the more awesome ones.
8: Flareon-Again for a cute design.
7: Pichu-Adorable design.
6: Sceptile-My first Pokemon game was Sapphire, where I picked Treecko as my starter. Throughout the journey, Sceptile became one of my favorite Pokemon. His amazing Mega Evo just makes me like him more.
5: Lugia-Looks incredibly cool.
4: Hoppip-I love how Hoppip's evolutionary line is like a dandelions'.
3: Lucario- While playing Super Smash Brothers Brawl I started using Lucario alot.
2: Leafeon's cute design paired with an overall love of grass makes Leafeon one of my top Pokemon.
1: Snivy-My favorite animal is a snake, so Snivy's smug personality and delicate appearance steal my heart. I've never played a Gen 5 game, so my love of Snivy has nothing to do with moves or stats.
Check out The Ultimate Hybrid, a game where you merge pokemon for hilarious results!

My top 6 favorites where kind of hard to choose their order, since I love them equally, at times I'm considering their order of favorites. My top 10 favorites are either based on meerkats,, weasels, foxes and one is a cat. On to the list:

01 - Watchog

Long time favorite of mine, mixture of meerkat and weasel, two of my favorite animals of all times, it's no surprise it's my most favorite Pokemon too. Being Normal type it can learn a wide variety of attacks of different types, which helps out my teams with a weakness my team will encounter along the way - at least for me, it's the cutest ever, just wish it's shiny coloring looked better though. Many of my teams he is my "Fire-Breathing Meerkat"

02 - Mienshao

My most favorite fighting weasel! First fighting type I used and surprised me how powerful and awesome it is. Mienshao was the first Pokemon I raised to level 100.
Love it's shiny coloring (#3 favorite shiny). Many times I'm debating whether Mienshao or Watchog is my #1 favorite.

03 - Mienfoo
& #1
Not sure what could be better and cuter than a fighting weasel! other than Mienshao! First fighting Pokemon I used and has been a regular Pokemon in my teams. It's my #1 favorite in shinies too, and hold a special place in my PokeHeart, as it was the first shiny I ever caught in my years of playing Pokemon. Kind of sad portion in spoiler
Spoiler:
the main thing that makes me sad is when I play with Mienfoo in Amie, it reminded me of the way how my ferret would put it's paws up to the cage when I came back from work, sort of letting me know "let's play" - still miss my ferret every day, passed away on Sept 12th

04 - Zangoose

Just love it's facial expression, always seem angered but when I pet it in Amie it Smiles!! To me looks part Mongoose and Part Cat, some of my favorite animals so high in my favorites. So far it's been surprising me in battles and how well it does, it's my second favorite Pokemon in shinies.

05 - Braixen

I'm very surprised that fire/psychic fox would be my #5 favorite, before 6th gen, I hated Pokemon based on canines, somewhere along the way I really started to love foxes (and after that, the rest of the canines)!! that's when Braixen jumped very high on my favorites, to the point where it overtook Oshy's place for my favorite starter. Really love it's design and voice. Really loved that it didn't became a fire/fighting! Love it's cute design.

06 - Patrat

Watchog's pre-evo! so cute, really love it's animations in Amie (happy, sad, mad - my heart just melts of overcuteness) - it's a regular member of my teams when I'm not playing a challenge. Just wished that it could learn more TM's like Watchog does (especially flamethrower).

07 - Persian

For me Persian remains as the "top cat in the Pokemon World" it was also my #1 favorite Pokemon for the longest time, from gen 1 until 5 (that was until Watchog got introduced). I love petting and playing with my own cats in real life, I could just imagine Persian the same way. So cute design.

08 - Floatzel

Such a cute sea-otter, I remember when I was at Woodland Park Zoo, watching the otters swimming upside down, they where too cute I can just imagine Floatzel doing the same - aside fo being too overcute he is my regular water type Surf-Aqua Tail-Scald-Aqua Jet!

09 - Zorua

Like I mention with Braixen above, I never expected to love foxes as much as I do now, it was thanks to Purrloin (my now 46th favorite) that introduced me to Dark Types and how useful they are in battles.

10 - Ninetales

Such a cute looking FireFox! really love it's design - it's shiny is so beautiful (#4 favorite in shinies). Nevered imagined it would be really high in my favorites. Had not used one in a team before, but now I will in a future Fox team.

the rest of my favorites from #11 to #50

Can't wait to check out future favorites of others.
