Welcome to the second annual Favorite Pokémon Tournament here in the Pokémon Polls board, where our goal is to determine the favorite Pokémon of the users here at the PokéCommunity! This has been a tournament that has lasted several months, where we've pitted almost all the Pokémon from different types together to determine a winner. This is the final poll, and includes Pokemon that have been voted as your favorite of each type, and as your favorite runners-up. At the conclusion of this final poll, the winners will be crowned champion, and be known as PokéCommunity's favorite Pokémon!

If you haven't had the opportunity, please read the Rules/FAQ to find out more about the tournament:

Spoiler:
  • You aren’t required to pick just one Pokémon- you can vote for as many as you like to ensure your favorites win. The Pokémon with the most votes at the end of the voting period will be crowned as the Favorite Pokémon Tournament champions for 2014!
  • In order to preserve space, we’ve grouped all of the applicable evolutions in a Pokémon family together. If a family of Pokémon win the final vote, all of them will be considered the winners.
  • In the event of a tie at the end of the voting, Brendino will have the tie-breaking vote. The method used to determine the tie-break will be decided upon the conclusion of the voting period.
  • Furthermore, members who have voted and posted for a majority of weeks during the tournament will receive an emblem depicting the winning Pokémon!
  • If there are any questions that you need answered, feel free to leave a comment in this thread or send a VM to Brendino to get it sorted out.

Now that you know what the tournament is all about, what are you waiting for? Polls will remain open until December 1st, so get voting!

Wow, it's hard to believe that 10 weeks has passed, and we're already at the finale here in the Favorite Pokémon Tournament! Though I've said it in the past and will continue to say going forward, thank you to everyone that has taken the time to vote in these polls. A lot of hard work goes into them behind the scenes, so to see that a lot of you are coming back to vote lets me know that all that work isn't for naught, and that the Favorite Pokémon Tournament should become a yearly tradition here on PokéCommunity.

Just like last year, I've been keeping track of a lot of stats throughout the tournament, many of which I'll share at the conclusion of this final vote. And like last year, if you posted and voted in a majority of polls, you'll be eligible for a special emblem depicting the winning Pokémon.

So with that said, happy voting everyone, and may the best Pokémon win!

It's already the final week? Wow!

ORAS hype means all three starters made it in. Go figures.

I actually voted for most (I think all?) of these back at the previous rounds, so it won't make sense if I vote for all of them now. That being said, I've tried my best to only choose the ones I really love and not just like. It's tough.

Lapras - Simply explained, my favorite non-legendary Ice-type Pokemon. I'm not even sure why I like it though.
Dragonair - I prefer Dragonair more than Dragonite, just because it's a serpent.
Togekiss - Fell in love with it ever since I hatched a female Togepi back at HGSS. Three of them actually. It has became a staple on my team and I'm not planning on taking it out any time soon.
Ampharos - It's one of my favorite Electric types, tying with Raichu and Luxray. I dunno, I guess being an electric sheep helps?
Umbreon - Even though my favorite eeveelution is Glaceon, Umbreon is the close second. Plus, its shiny form is amazing, and I had one back when I was playing SS for the first time.
Sceptile - Sceptile gets my vote due to nostalgia factor. Yes, Treecko was my first starter. On top of that, my first starter is a girl! Hence began the female starter curse haha.
Blaziken - Instead, Blaziken is my favorite starter out of the Hoenn trio. They're all amazing, but the fiery chicken blaze kicked into my heart.
Gardevoir/Gallade - Gardevoir is one of my favorite Psychic types, and a really strong Pokemon to boot (Calm Mind Stored Power OHKO Diantha's mwahaha).
Flygon - Favorite Ground type and Dragon type, Flygon screams cool, majestic and tough to my eyes. Its shiny form is one of the best-looking out of my favorite shinies.

And with that I can only say: May the best one wins. Also, from what I've seen, Gengar has already won last year so I hope to see a new face as the champion.

Gave my sole vote to the Gastly, Haunter, Gengar line. I was tempted to throw votes to Eevee, Togekiss line and Tyranitar line, but all three of the original ghosts are favourites of mine, and are the featured pokemon in my favourite episode of the anime. Although my other favourites are lacking votes, it's good to see that my vote for the Gengar line put them equal top.

Gengar and the family won last year so ;)

It's cool to see that Scyther/Scizor made the list! They deserve to be crowned champions, because I still think bugs are the underdogs of the pokemon world. These top bugs get my vote.

Other favorites I just can't help voting for because they are so grand are Charmeleon, Dragonair and Blaziken (with families). If any of these made it to victory, I would be one happy PC-girl.

Whoever didn't vote for Eevee, shame!

That said, I also like Flygon, Mareep, Togepi, Dratini and Torchic <3 and even though Eevee is so far behind (two votes presently), I hope it wins. Cutest Pokemon ever!

Otherwise, my runner-up is probably Mareep at this point \o/

Too bad I didn't manage to vote more than three or four times for all rounds. I like purty emblems.

I guess I should keep my votes to a minimum for this one, so I placed votes for Charizard and Hydreigon.

#StopGengar2014

I usually restrict myself to three votes but there are too many good choices. Ampharos, Tyranitar, Blaziken, Flygon, Metagross, and Chandelure are some of my top favorite Pokémon in general (and I have voted for each of them in previous polls) and I really hope one of them wins. Really as long as Gengar doesn't win two years in a row I'll be fine :P

I voted for Volcarona, Ampharos, Flygon, and Gardevoir.

There were a few others that I would've voted for based sheerly on power, but I kept my vote to pokemon I've played with a lot, trained, bred, and actually bothered to use Pokemon Amie for in every playthrough of X or Y. (My recent run excluded - trying to give some new pokemon a chance.)

I voted for Volcarona because it is, hands down, my favorite pokemon from generation five. And the only bug type pokemon I even enjoy using (previously I had just used other pokemon to utilize bug type moves - bug pokemon are pretty boring, imo.) Plus, I love that it's also a fire type because other fire types aren't nearly as interesting. Not to mention that I'm in love with the coloring of it, and pretty pokemon always catch my eye.

Ampharos' mega evolution makes me think "Fabio" which causes me to laugh a lot, and laughing is great. Also, Mareep is super cute and it's got pink googlys. I like that.

Flygon...my appreciation of this pokemon is a little late, but I hatched a shiny Flygon recently and as such have used it more and more.

Gardevoir is like Alakazam...but more defensible. Plus I dunno...it's so swishy. I've used Gardevoir for the better half of my time in X and Y.

Lapras - A serene and beautiful pokemon based on the Loch Ness Monster with a purple shell, my favorite Kanto Pokemon..

Flygon - The pink pipe lined wings and tail, lime/dark green accents, and oversized lens/goggles, it's a perfect design.

Gardevoir - Poised, beautiful, demure, though I'm disappointed I cannot vote for the other Hoenn beauty (milotic) I am glad to vote for Gardevoir. Also, the mega evolutions for Gardvoir and Gallade are simple and refined (which is a plus!)

Volcarona - White fluffy moth, with sun patterned wings, this moth isn't just badass, but it's also quite regal.

Hydreigon - Hydra Pokemon!!! The design is not your typical 3 or 5 hydra, the eerie design, with heads used in place of its hands definitely earns a spot among my favorites.

Gotta stick with my Dark Type buds.

Voted Umbreon, Tyranitar and Hydreigon.

Umbreon– Aside from the fact he's Dark Type, he's my second favourite Pokémon overall (after Mightyena) and has been one of my longest standing favourites throughout the years.

Tyranitar– Only recently came to love this guy, but he's ace in battles and I've really warmed up to his design these past few months.

Hydreigon– My third favourite Mon overall, and the only evo-family that's a combination of my 2 favourite types. Was obsessed with Hydrei ever since he was first revealed, before he even had an English name (Sazandora, anyone?). Other than the fact I spent the longest time thinking his 'hands' were just extra heads, and the fact I refuse to pronounce 'drei' as 'dry' (I say Hy-Dray-Gon*), not a bad word to say about him.

*On that note, I don't actually pronounce any of the family correctly. I also say Day-No (not Dy-No) and Zway-Luss (not Zwy-luss). I read the 'ei' as you would in 'weight', rather than 'height'.

I voted Gengar, Lapras, Ampharos, Swampert, Gardevoir/Gallade, Chandelure, Hydreigon and Volcarona. I'll take the ones I mentioned in the other threads:

Gengar - The original Ghost-type, still kicking butt over 15 years later. And it got a Mega Evolution which makes it even more exciting.

Lapras - Anyone who knows me knows that this one is my favorite Pokémon ever. And I don't think I need to explain why again.

Ampharos - This was one I don't think I talked about initially, but it's been a long time favorite of mine, maybe for nostalgic purposes. But that said it is still a neat Pokémon with good all-around stats and a gorgeous Mega Evolution.

Swampert - Funny memes aside, i've always found Swampert to be a favorite of mine from the Water starters and Hoenn. It's bulky with only one weakness, and might not be as good now as it was then but it's still one i'll always like.

Gardevoir / Gallade - Well, Gardevoir moreso personally, but these two are both very well made Psychic-types, and it was nice giving Gardevoir a physical Fighting-type counterpart in Gen IV. I still prefer Medicham to Gallade, but these two are both good, with Gallade getting a Mega Evolution with ORAS that will actually get its stats right.

Chandelure - Very strong, Fire/Ghost typing makes perfect sense and it hits super hard.

Hydreigon - One of my favorite designs ever, despite its 4x weakness to Fairy it's still pretty boss, especially before then. Battling Ghetsis' in BW, arguably one of the hardest opponents in the series, also has quite a bit of a take on my liking for this thing - that one requires good strategy to defeat given its wide coverage and high Speed.

Volcarona - Pretty cool, a sun based moth with Quiver Dance has a lot of oomph to it and is super fun to use.

Those are who I voted, I may have intentionally passed one that I might have wanted to vote for but these are already enough as it is.

This time around, I would have to side with Togekiss line. Gengar has one last year, and it did undoubtedly deserve the award (in general, Gengar is a fantastic Pokémon), but I believe it'd be best if we were to go towards a different route this time around.

Togekiss is getting my vote because, generally, its design seem to be pretty great. Its entire family is based off cute and adorableness, and while Togekiss is the final-evolution form (which tend to look huge and beastly), it still manages to carry on that tradition. When it comes to battling, the Pokémon seems to have amazing performance capabilities; it's got Serene Grace ability, allowing it to double each and every move effects, and with this, it's able to take better advantage of attacks such as Air Slash, causing opponents to flinch and reduce chance of striking back.

Aside from Togekiss, I'm also fond of Scizor. It may be small, but the Pokémon could indeed pack a punch. In terms of competitive, it doesn't need to utilize any stat-boosting move to reach its fullest potential or anything of the like; once its Attack EVs are maximized and it's given a set of Choice Band to hold, Scizor instantly becomes unstoppable. Its appearance seems to be great as well; suits the Pokémon without much trouble at all.

So many of my favorites are on this list! UGH! Makes me happy, but also makes it frustrating! I almost couldn't decide who to vote for! Well, I guess these are my top picks:

Gardevoir/Galade - My first hatched Shiny and I love her to death. Also the winner of the best looking Mega (in my opinion, the shiny mega is right up there with Mega Charizard X. let's hope shiny mega Galade is awesome too)
Scizor - while he's not one of my personal top favorites, he does have one of my favorite typing combination (combining two of my least favorite types no less). sure a 4x weakness to fire, but that's his ONLY weakness. plus he looks cool and kicks butt.
Umbreon - My favorite Eeveelution and the one my Eevee in X evolved into while I was trying to evolve her into a Glaceon (FRIENDSHIP ALWAYS PREVAILS!!!)
Sceptile - My choice starter for OmegaRuby, the first time I'm gonna really used him. But his design is cool, and do I even need to mention his mega? (DRAGON TYPE FTW!!!)
Metagross - I never thought a steel, genderless murder machine could be a cute pet, but after watching the Deoxys movie, I was proven wrong. Metagross is proof that even the bossiest of bosses can be as sweet as harmless teddy bears, while still murdering everything in sight.
Lucario - Do I have to explain why I like Lucario? Friendship evolution(my favorite evolution method), unique typing(honestly, Cobalion can go suck and egg :P), useful in battle(at least for me), star of one of the few good movies(say what you will, but I loved it), and SUPER FUN in Smash Bros.?? I think I've made my case...

Keeping this list short I went with

Charizard, Sceptile, Lucario and Flygon.

Honestly design was a pretty huge decider for me however I think all of them are fantastic in game and are very useful within their specific competitive tiers.

Here's who I picked:

Lapras, Eevee/Umbreon, Ralts line, Fletchling line, Riolu line, Litwick line, Mareep line, Togepi line, and all three of the Hoenn starters (Treecko, Torchic and Mudkip lines).

Don't really need to describe, but I just like all these lines because they appeal to me.

Haha none of the 'mons I voted for throughout the event made it to the finals. I voted for Lapras though. One of those under-appreciated Pokemon that hits the box, never to see the light of day. Once you take a minute to take a look at the design, etc., Lapras is pretty cool. Got a really interesting move pool too.
