So on ORAS I have 8 badges and will be setting off for Victory Road soon. Before I go in there, I want to fill in the last slot in my party. But the problem is, I really don't know what to put in there. Currently my party is:

-Sceptile, level 50
Item: Sceptilite
Moves: Mega Drain, Dual Chop, Rock Tomb, X-Scissor

-Metagross, level 49
Item: Metagrossite
Moves: Iron Head, Zen Headbutt, Earthquake, Hold Back (which I'll probably replace sometime soon)

-Seaking, level 48
Item: Never-melt-ice
Moves: Waterfall, Horn Drill, Ice Beam, Surf

-Torkoal, level 48
Item: none
Moves: Curse, Strength, Lava Plume, Flame Wheel

-Absol, level 46
Item: Absolite
Moves: Night Slash, Thunder Wave, Slash, don't remember

I would like to keep these guys on my team until the end of the Delta Episode, and I'm concerned that Seaking and Sceptile (especially because Giga Drain and Dragon Pulse aren't available until after the Delta Episode) won't be enough to handle Drake and Zinnia.

I also don't want to use legendaries or more commonly used Pokemon (cuz, ya know, I already have 3 more "commonly used" pokes on my team). Usually I'm not so restrictive on myself with in-game teams, but this is my 6th trip through Hoenn in the past 10 years, so I gotta spice things up a bit.

Any suggestions?

Personally, I'd recommend a Fighting type, like Hariyama or Gallade. Or how about a Fairy type, like Gardevoir or Wigglytuff?

As for your Sceptile, I'd teach it Energy Ball over Mega Drain if I were you. You can find the TM for Energy Ball at the Safari Zone.

If you have the time and dedication to raise it, I would recommend Crobat. Not particularly because of its blistering speed or average offenses, but more because it's Crobat--ain't nobody going to mess with someone who has a Crobat! Otherwise, I'd consider getting a Fighting-type such as Hariyama or Breloom.
