I thought I included a Special Sweeping set..

Well.. anyway, here's one..

Typhlosion (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 28 HP / 32 Def / 160 Spd / 252 SAtk / 36 SDef
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Flamethrower
- Thunderpunch
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Overheat
He learns enough Special Attacks (FT, HP, and TPunch), Overheat is for when you are about to die, can be replaced with Brick Break or Earthquake though, but you'll want to change his EV's then.
348 Special Attack is cool.

I think the best attacks for Thphlosion are these:

Flametrower
Thunderpunch
Earthquake
Dynamicpunch (agnaist pokemon like Snorlax)

Nah, it's best to steer clear of Dynamic Punch, Brick Break is better.

50% hit rate is to low in my opinion.

LH, I don't like two of the same elemental damaging attacks on a poke unless I have to. I want a well rounded one.

Heres a physical Typh.

[email protected] Berry
EVs:252 Attack, 252 Speed, 6 HP
Nature:Adamant/Naughty (if using Overheat)
Aerial Ace/Substitute/Overheat (last ditch effort, or for extra power)
Rock Slide
Earthquake
Brick Break

The physical Typh.
:D

I know, neither do I, but Special wise, it's the best he can pull out, you only Overheat as a last move anyway :P

Not a bad little set there.

Which is why he doesn't have enough Sp. attacks, that is what I was talking about.

Thanks for the comment on the set, dude!

It's all good, Overheat isn't a bad choice really, it's onlyto be used when you are about to die, that's all.

I don't mind having Overheat on a pokemon that also has Flamethrower, when I go out I go out with a bang.

Or an Overheat ;)

I think you tried a little too hard on that joke dude, lol!

I think that's about it for sets for Typh, unless anyone can think of something else.

Nah that's about it.

I tried the Subrevving one out, and it didn't work.

Most people I battled led with Suicune or Milotic for some reason, and Reversal didn't kill them.

Not cool, I sussed out Physcal Typhlosion aswell, and it didn't work out to well either, I went with Overheat on it, for some reason Typhlosion is just to weak, and lack of STAB hurts.

He's usable in UU battles, but that's about it. You could try the one with T-Punch I put up, that should do some damage to Suicune. Their both extreamly OU, and Suicune is OU/Uber, so it's not really a fair battle. Stick him in a UU team, and he might be able to do some damage in that team.:D

Yeah, I think he is best kept in UU battles, his attacks are too weak..

Then again it WAS a Suicune.

Oh nice idea, using Sub can make him a Special Sweeper with stat avoidance, cool as.

I want people to note that Typhlosions Physical attacks are way to weak, and he needs to have a Special Attack on him for him to be any use.

Hence SpecialPhlosion.

I wish Typholsions can learn Solorbeam just like Houndoom and Rapiadash.(I think I spelled that wrong.)

Why, I don't think anyone would use a Sunnybeamer Typh.

"Endure into Reversal fails. If the opponent doesn't attack and uses something like Toxic, D-Dance, Leech Seed etc you're Pokemon is done. Plus, its not smart to try and and Endure a T-Bolt or Flamethrower with the effect they have. Typlosion @ Lum or Petaya, Quick Attack, HP Ice, Thunder Punch, Flame Thrower/Fire Blast (if you plan on maxing Speed to outrun Mence)."

LH figured that out, that's why we tossed those out. He's not that useful anyway, unless it'a a UU battle.:\

Spike, Ty is only able to counter Salamence if it's a one on one, and Salamence has no DD's.

And I changed us over to Substitute > Endure anyway.

Endure can work though in some situations, it's not all that bad, I've had a Magneton Endure my Duggys EQ and activate Salac and HP Grass my arse.

With 299 speed Typh will out speed Water pokes, so he can Endure a Surf, then he gets more speed with his attached Salac Berry, the he Reversals' the damage. Like LH said Reversal can be useful sometimes.:D

Look at it this way. Ty is out already, its about to use a Fire attack so the opponent tries to play it smart and sends out Mence, Ty outspeeds it after FT/FB/OH and it gg for Mence since I have never seen a Protect Mence before =|.

I've seen a Protecting Salamence, it was part of an entire Toxistall team which got ruined by my Gengar.

I kno Ty CAN counter Salamence, but only really in the situation you said, you can NOT afford to switch Ty into Mence.
