Hello everyone, I've been working on an ORAS team for double battles revolving around Mega Gardevoir. I have some great Pokemon right now and have no trouble with free battle. However, my team needs a few new members and tweaks in order to optimize it. All these Pokemon are 5IV with everything covered except their non cardinal attack stat.

1. Gardevoir + Gardevoirite
Ability: Telepahy/Pixilate
EVs: 252SpATK / 252 Speed / 4HP
Modest Nature
- Moonblast
- Psychic
- Hyper Voice
- Destiny Bond

2. Gengar + Focus Sash
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252SpATK/252Speed/4HP
Timid Nature
-Shadow Ball
-Sludge Bomb
-Destiny Bond
-Will O Wisp

3. Alakazam + Life Orb
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252SpATK/252Speed/4HP
Timid Nature
-Psychic
-Calm Mind
-Focus Blast
-Protect

4. Electivire + Expert Belt
Ability: Motor Drive
EVs: 252ATK/252Speed/4HP
Adamant Nature
-Earthquake
-Brick Break
-Ice Punch
-Thunder Punch

5. Gallade + Focus Sash/Assault Vest?
Ability: Steadfast
EVs: 252ATK/252Speed/4HP
Jolly Nature
-Swords Dance
-Psycho Cut
-Close Combat
-Knock Off

6. Tyranitar + Lum Berry/Assault Vest?
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252ATK/252HP/4Def
Adamant Nature
-Stone Edge
-Crunch
-Earthquake
-Rockslide/Stealth Rock?

Also I'm giving an honorable mention to a choice band/giga impact Slaking that is a potential.

This is just what I have lying around right now, they're all excellent individually but I know I need to add some different Pokemon in the mix here for type/status moves etc. I'm fairly new to competitive Pokemon so bear that in mind. Anyways, what are some ways you would recommend changing this team for double battles?

Protect is pretty much a staple move in doubles play because it lets the user do things like scout for attacks and punishing double-targeting. Psyshock > Psychic, as being walled by special walls stinks:
-Psyshock
-Hyper Voice
-Focus Blast
-Protect
Nature: Timid/Modest
EVs: 4 HP/252 SAtk/252 Spe
Item: Gardevoirite
Ability: Trace/Telepathy

Given how good Aegislash is in doubles, it's a bad idea to have too many Ghost-weak Pokemon on the team, so I'd get rid of Alakazam, Gallade and probably Gengar.

Togekiss provides Follow Me and Tailwind support (which is immensely helpful for Gardevoir's survivability and Speed, respectively), while Heatran covers Gardevoir's weaknesses nicely:

Togekiss:
-Follow Me
-Air Slash
-Tailwind/Thunder Wave
-Roost/Protect/Helping Hand
Nature: Calm
EVs: 248 HP/192 Def/68 SDef
Item: Sitrus Berry/Safety Goggles
Ability: Serene Grace

Heatran:
-Substitute
-Heat Wave
-Earth Power
-Protect
Nature: Modest
EVs: 180 HP/252 SAtk/76 Spe
Item: Leftovers

or
-Heat Wave/Fire Blast
-Flash Cannon/Hidden Power (Ice)/Stone Edge
-Earth Power/Stone Edge
-Protect
Nature: Modest/Timid
EVs: 56 HP/252 SAtk/200 Spe
Item: Shuca Berry

Tyranitar can run a mixed set effectively:
-Rock Slide
-Dark Pulse
-Ice Beam/Fire Blast
-Protect
Nature: Quiet
EVs: 252 HP/4 Atk/252 SAtk
Item: Shuca Berry/Life Orb
Ability: Sand Stream

While Electivire's coverage is good, it tends to fall short of KOing its targets, which means it can get KOed in return. Wash Rotom or Heat Rotom are better because they provide good doubles utility:

Heat:
-Thunderbolt
-Overheat
-Will-o-Wisp/Thunder Wave
-Protect
Nature: Modest
EVs: 200 HP/88 SAtk/220 Spe
Item: Sitrus Berry/Safety Goggles

Wash:
-Thunderbolt
-Hydro Pump
-Will-o-Wisp/Thunder Wave
-Protect
Nature: Calm
EVs: 252 HP/136 SAtk/120 SDef
Item: Sitrus Berry

Thanks very much for your feedback PlatinumDude. I really like these suggestions and plan on making or have already made many of those editions to my team. I'll probably add Togekiss and Wash Rotom like you suggested, leaving me with:

Gardevoir, Tyranitar, Togekiss, and Wash Rotom. Do you have any substitute for Heatran? I'd prefer not to use legendaries so I can breed them for IV's. Also maybe a good 6th? Maybe Aegislash?

If your using Mega Gardevoir in Double battles maybe consider Dazzling Gleam. It will allow you to attack both opponents without harming anyone on your team.
Hyper Voice already does that. Thanks to Pixilate, it becomes a Fairy move, making Dazzling Gleam entirely unnecessary.

Anyway, regarding legendaries, just because a Pokemon is legendary doesn't mean it's OP. Heatran's common weaknesses in Water, Ground and Fighting keep it in check, for instance.

But if you don't mind stacking on another Ghost weakness, by all means, use Aegislash:
-Shadow Ball
-Flash Cannon
-Wide Guard
-King's Shield
Nature: Quiet
EVs: 252 HP/4 Def/252 SAtk
Item: Sitrus Berry/Lum Berry
