i heard of them but I don't think I've ever listened. Or maybe I have and totally forgot. Who knows. But I do remember listening to that song (and not liking it).
I don't like it that much either, the only reason I know who the weeknd even is is because of his hair and friends commenting on it. I'm more into the PopPunk scene, so I don't care for Arianna Grande at all.
everyone is obsessed with that song for some reason >_> but each to their own. I can tell you one thing though, she sounds slightly better live (I only know this because she was one of the singers at I concert that I only went to to see Hot Chelle Rae) Oh yeah? you know idk if they'll fit into the category but ever heard of a group called Simple Plan?
Of course. their older stuff is part of poppunk 101. Although I don't like their recent stuff as much. It's too poppy for me, in the wrong way. I don't mind music being poppy, I actually like 5SOS and All Time Low because of their poppy sound, but Simple Plan just lost me after Jet Lag.
:o jet lag is one of my fav "newer" songs by them but yeah their older music is the best. I feel like I'm one of the only ones not on the 5SOS boat. I tried to listen to some of their songs the other day to see the hype and I was like "nah". The lead singer is decent but everything else isn't for me.
Their bassist's voice is hella annoying, haha. I like most kinds of poppunk, so 5SOS fits. Doesn't mean I enjoy all their music. I like three songs by them, I think. I like the upbeat happy poppunk/poprock. I also like the 1D cover of One Way Or Another. It's just poppy enough. I couldn't listen to that kind of music constantly though.
yes he is the one that bothers me! lol That was one of my favorite songs covered by them for the longest, that and Teenage Dirtbag. Don't know if you'll like it, but you should listen to Diana by them. Do you like Fall Out Boy or Panic at the Disco or anyone like that?
I own all FOB albums, although I regret buying SR&R. I only like Phoenix off that album, it became more orchestral pop at that moment. It sounds a lot like Stumps solo work. I also really dig P!atD, I'm listening to Camisado at the moment. I really like their Baroque Pop songs like Ballad of the Mona Lisa. I don't like their latest work as much, but they still have some great songs in there like Miss Jackson. I like your taste in music Warspirit, haha.
ah thanks! you have good tastes as well lol. are you like their biggest fan, ha? I haven't been following FoB (or p!atd) much recently so bear with me lol. Last I heard was Centuries, and I liked it lots. Have you seen the MV for it? I Write Sins Not Tragedies has to be my fav p!atD song. I can remember New Perspective and Lying is the most fun as well. Yeah neither do I either :/ I feel like a lot of groups/artists are changing their sound, nothing wrong with doing so, but their old stuff is always solid.
@orpheus which artist do you like? I'm into most Rock and Metal as well, haha.
I used to be really big in FOB, could sing most of their songs from the top of my head. Then I discovered there were more then 3 bands and now I don't get into bands that much anymore. I've seen the music video. I thought it was a decent song, awesome video, but I didn't really speak to me or something. I don't mind bands changing their sound that much, because most bands have similar sounding ones, although I never found a band that sounds like the old FOB. Did you know they did a song with Lil' Wayne btw?
Oh, there's quite a few I like. My favorites are RED, Demon Hunter, Thousand Foot Krutch, System of a Down, and Three Days Grace. But I've been experimenting lately and I like, though haven't listened to a lot of, Rage Against The Machine, Led Zepplin, Metalica, Disturbed, and some others that I can't think of at the moment.
Man I used to love Three Days Grace. How are they doing without Adam Gontier? Looks like your in the kind of Post-Grunge music too. Most of those bands are great.
