I've got a bunch of attention questions for you guys. Anyways, how attentive are you? Is your attention short or long or in the middle? Do you pay attention to everything, or just the big things? How do you feel when someone doesn't pay attention to you, or others?

It depends on my mindset :b I can be attentive enough to notice every single little detail, while other times I find myself asking what was just said because I was too busy day dreaming. Sometimes I get to blame it on my bad hearing (which is bad from concerts, raves, and blasting headphones too loud), but that doesn't always get me off the hook xP So I guess I would say in the middle.

You serious, bruh?

Well, considering I have ADHD... not very attentive. XD However, it also depends on what I'm doing. If I listen to music and stuff, then I do a very good job of staying focused. Without it though, I'm a nervous wreck at trying to get muk done. x_x

My mind can only pay attention for oh so long xD I always have so much going on my mind that it can drift away from reality really easily. In most conversations I usually pay attention with the occasional moments that my mind can drift away when I just have too much going on. If it's something like a lecture or something where I have to sit a listen for an hour, my mind will eventually head somewhere else.

I'm skilled at paying attention to small things and details. Although when it comes to long-term things, those I tend not to pay attention to.

In general my attention span sucks. I get distracted by more or less anything and everything. Literally, I'd be walking and talking on the phone, and it would be completely me to abruptly stop the conversation and go "ooooh, look at that car" or something of that nature. That being said, I can (or at least, I like to think I can) be really attentive if the sitation calls for it. Take for example riding a car or taking a test; I know being inattentive has negative consequences, so I avoid being so.
he did it, not me.
I'm extremely attentive, although the problem is I tend to focus on one thing at the expense of everything else. If I'm really engrossed in something, the only way to get my attention is to physically move me or get right in my face. I've had people sit around me for an hour before I've noticed that they're there, and I'm always losing track of the time because of how absorbed in things I can get. My attention span tends to be quite short if I'm not all that interested in something, and I have a horrid short-term memory, but once I get engaged I tend to stay engaged for quite a while.

I prefer it if people don't pay any attention to me, really - I function better in the background, doing what I need or want to do without any external interference. I've never had much trouble getting people to pay attention to me if I want them to, though and, unlike a lot of people I interact with, I'm quite content to wait for someone to finish what they are doing before I get their attention.

I notice a lot of small details. I'm finicky. I can't focus very well when in class or watching a show or movie (unless it's really good). I also hate being ignored when talking to someone so I keep my full attention when someone speaks to me.

You should see me when I have to pay attention in my school weeks, I'm almost always falling asleep. My attention span for lectures and related situations sucks. My attention span for work and projects and doing things with my hands is endless. In general, if I enjoy something, I can concentrate on it for hours. Friends and conversations I can mostly concentrate on.

When someone ignores me or switches off, I don't really mind. I prefer to be able to say things without much response, unless I want a debate, in which case I want them to hang onto every letter of every word I say XD

I am absolutely atrocious at paying attention as well, it's why I'm not so good at multitasking when I'm given too many orders.

I am pretty attentive. If someone is talking to me I'm more than likely listening. It's one of my only redeeming qualities. I pay attention to pretty much everything, noticing the little things more often than the big things a lot of times. And when someone doesn't pay attention to me it doesn't bother me. I don't have anything important to say anyways.

i usually get bored after like 5 seconds
Pretty much this lol. It's not necessarily that my attention span is short, it's just that I get bored VERY quickly so I stop paying attention to things I deem unimportant.

I'm really good at paying attention to and remembering little details... but only little details. If someone asks me to recount something that happened yesterday, I'm probably not going to be able to do it.
These are both very much me. I have ADHD, so I'm super easily distracted. I must be occupied or doing something constantly (even something as simple as tapping my foot) otherwise I'll get bored in 30 second

I'm also bad at remembering detail useless it's something simple and you'll probably have to write something down for me if you want me to remember it or if it's something I need to pay attention to. I can remember useless facts on things I like and hobbies, but not important stuff.

In some of my classes, I tend to not be very attentive and don't always hear what the teachers are saying, sometimes ending up needing to hear them repeat themselves. It's not helped by the fact that I don't like to write out notes as opposed to typing them, which some professors don't always allow. Kinda sad since this is coming from a guy that never likes to repeat himself...

In school it's pretty rare that I actually pay attention but that's not really any fault of mine. I get super distracted and bored, on the internet as well. Even when I'm trying to focus on something, such as posting on PC, I get distracted and somehow open a dozen new windows.

I gotta bad habit of spacing out on the super important parts of a conversation but getting all the little tidbits down. If you're giving me driving instructions for instance, I'll remember all the roads, all the landmarks and all the turns to get there, but I won't remember why I'm going there.

Usually my attention span is quite narrow when I wish it to be. I'm working, don't talk to me when I'm working. I get more things done on my own than when I'm interrupted. People have to tap me on the shoulder to get me to listen to them. Other than smashing my way through work I can listen to people for a long while, but it kills me when they change subjects rapidly because I wasn't finished talking about the previous subject.

I'm actually pretty good at paying attention (well, to one thing at a time anyway), but my biggest problem is forgetting what was said the moment after it was said... even if I was really engaged in listening.

I have that problem a lot too. Which is why I worry whenever I get a job.
