So I just spent the last three-four hours playing various Minecraft games and whatnot with a dozen or so members. We were on Skype chatting, having a blast, and I realized gaming is one of my favorite ways to get to know people on PC. I just love being able to hang, enjoy a game together, and learn about people.

I'm currently in the DJ Sessions on plug.dj with five or six others. We're chatting away about the various music we enjoy, sharing songs, and interacting - another favorite way to get to know people.

So how do you like to interact with others from PC? Anything from Skype to gaming to VMs and PMs! :)

I personally like interacting in threads. VMs are nice too, but I sometimes forget to reply. Threads are pretty fun though because where VMs can end awkwardly or something, threads are usually pretty discussion oriented and the conversation can flow better, plus considering the places I post on PC, it's usually about a common interest like a video game or something in Pokemon, so yeah.

Member interaction has always been one of my favorite things, if not absolute favorite, on PC. There's just so many people to talk to here, there's literally never a dull moment.

I like the typical interaction through VMs and/or threads. It's easy, fun and has probably been my go-to method for making new friends. I'm also with Syd in that I enjoy member interaction and that has played a part in helping me stick around even in situations where I felt uncomfortable in the past.

I like VMs the best probably, but the dj room is quite enjoyable too. If I had more time, I would definitely play some games with you guys.

The most interaction comes from threads, though. They're just the most convenient place to do so.

Plug.dj is a great way to interact with members. I've interacted more with people over there in this past week or two than I have in the past 6 months lol. Other than that I do most of my interactions either through my posts in threads or PMs. I don't do much VMing, though I've been doing a little more in the past few months.

Having recently become a supporter (praises Senusret <3) means I got to know about the PC Plug.dj channel. We also played a couple of rounds of CAH, and it was super fun :D VMs, DCC thread and Etherpads are also pretty fun too :)

I agree gaming plus Skype is a great way to interact with other users! In the Animal Crossing Fan Club, members often get together and "visit" each other through the game and Skype. It's always a blast! :) I've been interesting in playing Super Smash Bros. or Monster Hunter with other users, but haven't had any luck starting games with those titles yet.

VMing and conversing through threads is nice, too. Basically I like any form of interacting with others, really. Though gaming is the most fun. I'd like to play some rounds of CAH with other PC users sometime~

Ah, I almost forgot! Getting to know other users through the Member Encyclopedia is informative, too.

Discussing roleplays in ooc threads and skype chats is my favorite way of interacting with members :3 I don't go out of my way to get to know new people here, I think. But when it happens, it happens, and I'd like to think I'm never hostile or unapproachable. :3

I really enjoy all the different ways of interacting with members.

Thread responses, OOC conversation, joint post collaboration in the RPC, the supporter plug dj channel, VMs/PMs and recently a Cards Against Humanity game which was a lot of fun.

I just like meeting and interacting with most PC members in general.

almost exclusively skype or text these days ): which I know is not exactly helpful for forum activity haha. I only rarely hold a conversation by VM any more beyond one or two messages and 90% of it even then is kinda meaningless, although for a few people who I don't see much on skype I still like talking to them that way. I just find Skype easier because it's like, there's no waiting etc and you can say anything you want to in private and it's nice.

...although way back when I first started using forums I'd always use VMs and have proper full-on intricate conversations and I kinda miss those days. hm. may go back and try it again some time.

I send VM's on occasion but most of them are total nonsense. if I'm actually trying to have a conversation with somebody then skype or text is the way to go. threads are nice but there is rarely one-on-one interaction.

Mostly via VM is where most of my interactions take place.
Also on Skype with the Animal Crossing guys.
Plus playing multiplayer (Animal crossing, Smash Bros (the tournament), Mario Kart and on the minecraft server, but I have not been on minecraft in ages though.)
I would be interested in maybe playing more multiplayer games with other members in future though.

just being with members in threads is perfectly fine for me. Like, talking about random muk, finding out how they are or what they are like... stuff like that I guess. I'm not all that social, so it's really hard at times. I do want to be more open and social so, I'm going to try to be a better person just like my hero. <3

Could you be more meta with your topics Klippayy lmao

I do have to agree with you, though. Voice chat rocks. IMing is like, the default... VMs are weird and threads are good for getting to know folks.

I'm also a rather unsociable person trying to work on said aspects of myself. I've only really been here for, well, a day... so I haven't actually interracted with other members much at all. ^-^''

But I have stalked other people's conversations once or twice out of sheer curiosity and general evil intent. (Muwahaha.) And the VM system here seems very usable to me.

I love playing games as well of course and I'm sure that in time I'll be able to interact with people in lots of different ways in order to choose a "favorite" method. But until that time, I suppose what I've said so far is my two cents on the topic.

I'd probably get to know people through threads, and then strike up a conversation through VM if possible.

I'd IM honestly, but my internet connection is terrible most of the time. I'll probably start IMing via Skype as soon as a much more stable connection is established in my current lodging location.

Anything IM and group-related! All my VM conversations are usually very random and I find it strange to hold normal conversations there.

PC's IRC channel was the reason I stayed on PC at the beginning, it was very active and fun. It's pretty dead now but there's the Battle Server! It's pretty much the same thing except you can battle as well, which is great even if you don't really battle competitively, random battles are a great way to get to know people. :) Skype group convos are also fun but I'm not in a lot of them, they can be distracting.

So yeah, I'm not much of a poster so the Battle Server and Skype are my favourite ways to interact with other members.

Mostly through threads and to a certain degree by VM. Skype hasn't worked out so far, but we'll see, how this is going to be in the future. Then there's also PCL, which is going to start soon.

If I'm gonna be honest, communicating through VM's is actually one of my least favourite ways to talk to people on PC, mainly because I'm super bad at holding conversations, and I feel like it becomes super awkward, because I'm not certain how to segway the conversations into new topics, and I don't really want to just stop replying. So in regards to communication on-site, I highly prefer talking to people within threads, because there's usually one specific topic that it's centered around. And IRC is definitely also favoured, though I'm not nearly as active on there as I used to be.

I've also got to know a lot of people through plug.dj, though that's mainly been around GT times, so it's not something I get to do that often.

I've also met quite a lot of people through gaming. The main one being LoL, since quite a few people on PC seem to be playing that. Though I reckon my best experience when it comes to gaming with PC people would probably have to be PokeMMO. It was through that, that I first really got to know one of my favourite people on PC, and I'm really happy for that :)

Group chats are the best ever in any format. Through Minecraft, IRC, Battle Server, Skype, voice chat, thread, idc I just like group chatting. For one on one I like text, skype, and VMs~

I talk to people through VMs/PMs aaall the time, and Skype pretty often too. I find VMs more comfortable in certain cases since I'm usually not expected to reply right away like I am over instant messengers.. but I get a lot of messages so it can be hard to remember to reply sometimes. Still love you all though. ;P

If I were a hermit who didn't interact with members often I'd probably have been gone long ago - getting to know people here is a huge part of why I stick around. What's a forum without friends?

The battle server; I like chatting in large groups that aren't restricted because anyone can join! I don't have many members on Skype and I'm horrible at talking 1 on 1, though xD
