Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
Publisher: Square Enix
Consoles: PlayStation 4, Xbox One
Release: March 17th, 2015

"In an act of unprovoked aggression, the Militesi Empire invaded the Dominion of Rubrum. Imperial dreadnoughts swarmed the skies, assailing the unsuspecting countryside under the banner of the White Tiger. From amidst the flames of the besieged dominion, the Vermilion Bird rose in defiance, her crystal granting magic and mighty eidolons that her disciples might cast out the technologically advanced aggressors.

Thrust into the tumult of war, the fate of the world and its four crystals now rests on the shoulders of fourteen brave, young warriors."

Bought a copy, although Amazon are notoriously unreliable in getting things delivered on day of release, so I've got to wait until tomorrow until I get to play it...at least, it had better arrive tomorrow.

I'm quite looking forward to it, though. The gameplay reminds me somewhat of Crisis Core, although significantly improved. I have zero expectations of the cast or the story - looks like the standard-issue rollout of number-named tropes and JRPG-babble - but it should be worth playing, if nothing else...I'll get back to you. xD

Oh, the soundtrack is pretty good as well, although I have yet to listen to the last CD of it. Still, it's a nice mix of the usual sort of thing, but of a consistently high quality. Not as many memorable tracks as FFXII, but the main theme is pretty awesome.

I approve of this splash.

I'm really looking forward to stealing my friend's xbone so that I can play this. But if I have to I will settle with watching a playthrough. But I will experience this game one way or another. I've only listened to a few songs here and there, but it sounds pretty good. And the graphics are really clean and just overall the game looks good.

As much of a Final Fantasy fan I am, I wouldn't be too disappointed if I missed this game. I would very much love to play it, of course, but it just seems like a very skippable entry to me. The game looks great, though, and the music seems nice.

Idk, I want to play it, but I don't think I will tbh. FFXV, however, is a must for me.

Been wanting this since it was first announced back when the trilogy was starting out. That want only increased when it was released in Japan, though back then I was unsure of whether a localization would happen. Now, 4 years later, my beloved boyfriend pre-ordered the CE I had desperately pined for as a belated Secret Santa gift and it arrived last Thursday! I feel like I've been Final Fantasy deprived ever since XIII-2 so anything would satisfy that void. That's not to say that I wasn't excited for Type-0, but I would've much preferred XV over it.

I bought it to (although it only arrived yesterday :() and its got my attention so far! :D I thought it might be a little dull, but the story is pretty good and the fighting is fairly fluid.

Crazy camera, though.

Crazy camera, though.
Good, someone who agrees that the camera becomes quite the seizure, especially during fights with enemies and characters filling up the screen @[email protected] Honestly, I have a hard time keeping up with the battle system, never mind the actual actions taking place as my fingers furiously mash the buttons.
I'm kinda hoping Square Enix might see their way to patch the camera, because it's quite the pain. I'm also wondering if they'll ever patch the Infinite XP exploit/glitch that has been uncovered which makes the entire game trivial, as you can hit Level 99 within about half an hour or so. xD;

I'm going to pour some time into this game next week, once I finish Escha & Logy...as fun as the battle system is (and god, is it fun) the story is remarkably average and un-engaging. I'm not surprised or disappointed, but I'm not really motivated to play it right now as a result~

I bought this to get the FFXV demo... and I spent an extra £5 on the limited edition for the sleek sexy steelbook.......................................................

Game actually looks like great fun though and I'm looking forward to sinking my teeth into it after Bloodborne.
Haha, I think that's the majority of people; they bought it for the demo and not necessarily for Type-0. Shame, but that's their decision. Everything that came with CE was well worth it, minus the ridiculous amount of international shipping...

I would have gotten Type-0 regardless, but it was the inclusion of the FFXV demo that made me jump in on day 1. Otherwise I'd have waited a bit. WORTH IT FOR FFXV THOUGH. And Type-0 itself looks pretty awesome too, especially the action-y battle system.

Until you find how nauseating the camera can be @[email protected] I mean, with the action-packed battle system, I'd figure they keep the camera at a distance so that everything could be in view and players could actually tell what was going on. I've only played about an hour's worth because that's all I can handle at a single time until I get nauseous and have to take a break. It'd be much better if they panned it out further, away from the characters and enemies.

I find myself getting used to the camera the more I play. Flipping from ffxv to type-0 makes the camera seem 10x worse xD.

That's at least a good sign. I was hoping that that would be the case since it's a game that I'd want to marathon during the weekends c: Though I do still prefer the camera angles where you can actually see everything around you without accidentally zooming in on someone's derriere.
