Okay, I felt that I did enough damage in free battles. so I decided to try my skills at rated battles. Boy was that a mistake. Let me explain.

So I registered my Omega Ruby for rated battles, and I decided to go in with a strong balanced team. But the game says that I have Pokemon that violate the rules. So I double heck the team, and I was confused. No boxart legendary, no duplicate pokemon, and no duplicate items. So I checked the regulations, and I was shocked to see that they banned all Pokemon you received from trades and all Pokemon you imported from Black, White, Black 2, White 2.

No now my team is screwed. I had to leave out my Tyranitar, Arcanine, Haxorus, Gallade, Gyarados, Umbreon, Golduck, Braviary, Meganium, Terrakion, and a few others out of rating. Without Tyranitar, I automatically lose to anyone with a Talonflame. I need Arcanine to check Charizard X/Y, Scarfed Haxorus kills off all my dragon enemies, Gallade is my leading fighting Pokemon, Gyarados is new to my roster, and it's just plain not fair to not use him, Meganium sets up my barriers. My tactics are just out the door.

So now I have to train all these Pokemon all over again. But I decided to use a team of Pokemon bred and caught in Gen 6 to see how are things. Things are REALLY bad!

I thought free battles were hacked. Rated is so much worse. I have never seen a group of Pokemon who can outspeed anything I can throw out there without the need of a choice scarf. They laugh at my greninja's uber speed. And their pokemon can use any move physical or special and OHKO everything! I seen a greninja spit out a rockslide and OHKO another rock Pokemon while next turn just casually dark pulse and OHKO another. Everyone carries legendaries with straight perfect IV's, and use event moves and abilities. Yeah, like if I can believe that every rated battler just happened to catch a wild legendary with rare moves, rare ability and straght perfect IV. Can we say, Pokegen?

So let me get this straight, I cannot use my wild caught, bred and legitly trained pokemon from previous generations, but people run rampant with hacks in Rated battle? And before anyone says "You can't bring hacked pokemon to battle spot", you are automatically wrong. I have already seen youtube videos, posts in this forums, PM's in my inbox of people admitting to hacking, and pokemon VGC tournaments that have to be redone because of dishonest players.

So I am going to stick to my free battles. If people are going to hack, I can't do much about it. It's obvious to me why people has moved on to Pokemon Showdown or other Smogon ruled Pokemon simulator.

I'm not saying you're wrong, but try not to blame others for your losses. If you do badly, it's nobody's fault but your own.

Also, if you assume you will automatically lose to a certain Pokèmon, you'll never have the confidence to try. You'll automatically lose if you're up against a Talonflame without your Tyranitar? I call bullmuk. You see, in Pokèmon, NOTHING, and I mean NOTHING, is guaranteed. You'll be surprised more often than not.

Lastly, most players who have perfect iv, egg move legendaries are just insane... *ahem*, "dedicated" players who have wasted.... *ahem* "spent" hundreds of hours trying for those things. They're not hackers. They just have no lives.

While I'm fine with occasional venting, these threads are getting out of hand. This one in particular has little to no potential for discussion, and it has a very high potential for starting another unnecessary heated argument.
