My phone has been doing the same. I can't wait to replace it. I'll probably go back to Samsung. Alcatel's phones are nice, but the hardware is shoddy. If the parts work, you're lucky, otherwise they won't last long.
Sometimes I wonder if it's just the software. Other times, I wonder if it's the hardware.

It seems like Android devices always find one way to psyduck up after awhile, and that's one thing that bothers me with Android, too.

One does wonder if not going Android is worth it in the first place, though. I guess you have to compromise somewhere.

I'm starting to think that the hardware failure is starting to affect apps, but I can't be sure.
I know for a fact I can't take photo spheres with my Nexus 7 tablet because of that; my N7's gyrocope and accelerometer sensors stop working after a while after a reboot.

Then again, no matter where you look, each OS/device has its flaws among users. :P

As for me, I just got my SSD sent in for replacement. Whew.

Good thing I yanked it out of my system when I noticed something wrong with it. By the time they're processing it for warranty, it's bricked.

Oh I put my wish list for buying a mid tier gaming laptop. Asus does offers good price with good specs of laptops. my range would be 3000 to 3700 ringgit
Asus sure makes a lot of things that are pretty good value for money across the entire spectrum.

I've checked what Asus offers, and the K501LX (RM 2899) and GL552JX (RM 3599) appear to be best fit for your needs. Both come with a GTX 950M which should be more than powerful enough, though it's a DDR3 variant, so keep your resolution in check (try to game at 1366x768 or 1280x720). The laptops come with Full HD displays that should be good enough for most purposes, and there's 4 GB of RAM and 1 TB of HDD storage. (You might also want to buy a DDR3-1600 SODIMM while you're at it, since the system's RAM is really skimpy.)

Just ask yourself whether you need a quad-core Intel CPU and/or Bluetooth. :) The more expensive G-series laptop has both of them, while the less expensive K-series equivalent has a dual-core and doesn't seem to have Bluetooth.

Me, I'm pondering whether to get a T100HA... the 64GB/2GB RAM model sells for RM 1299 here. Much less expensive than a Surface 3, though you get a slightly weaker SoC and worse screen in terms of resolution.

I'm looking into getting set up with a VPS client that way I can run both my IRC server and my ZNC IRC bouncer without having to rely on a physical tower at my house to do the hosting. The network card in my server is pretty jacked up anyways.

By the way today i just plug in my Iphone into my dad's 40 years old Hi- Fi Stereo System.

You never leave the seat with the awesome beats and melody given by the two large speakers.

Make sure the VPS host provider allows for IRC servers. Some don't allow IRC servers because of DDoS attacks.
Do you happen to have any recommendations then?

Older stereos were made with higher-quality assembly in mind compared to today's stereos, so of course it'd sound awesome. :)

After looking around, I might have been wrong. http://www.server4you.com/vps/ allows anything to be installed(except illegal content), and has unlimited monthly bandwidth. I'm not sure if it fits your price range or not.

It's funny how owning a desktop makes you want even more...
I really need a new desktop though, because using a laptop 100% of the time starts to suck after a while.

I want to get a desktop to upgrade and have more power, but I need a clean place first. We have a lot of rugs and they hold a lot of dust. I'd have to clean the desktop every couple of months because these rugs have a lot of crap in them - vacuuming doesn't help a bit.
I'm pretty sure the computer attracts the dust, and not the rug. :P

Joke aside, that sucks. I know my carpet is a mess around where my computers are and it's not really nice to look at.

Yeah, you can vacuum all you want and 20 minutes later there's a layer of dust on anything cleaned.
If only they invented a vacuum solely for dust removal in computer towers as well, that'd be nice :P

Computer cases with air filters all around?

Sounds like lots of money. Not that it's going to be a problem for long - the places we're looking at all have few to no rugs.
You probably still want a case with air filters for intakes at the very least. Even a rug-less environment can be dusty, I've noticed.

Well, it'll be a lot cleaner since it'll be easier to clean and dust cannot accumulate as easily. I might do that, but I'll see how it works out first.
Probably a good idea. What case do you plan to use?

I'll be the honest one to say that I never even knew they made air filters for computers...

Usually can be bought with a fitting case, or you can get separate ones that attach to fan mounts.

I wouldn't be sure. I'm not looking at any parts until I have the money for a build.
I guess waiting is a good thing to do.

My computer care was bought for 160 ringgit and it could fit 30 cm gpu
You should be fine with almost any video card if it has 30 cm of clearance.

What exact case, by the way?

Sometimes, I wish there was a way for me to test out of some classes towards my degree and be exempt from taking them (while still getting the credit), such as Intro to Internet...
