Is using Boxart Legends unfair?

So, I keep fighting my opponents in Battle Spot, and I grew tired of facing against the same pokemon over and over and over. Blaziken, Mega-Kangaskahn (spelling?), Greninja, Mega Salamence, Mega Mawile, Aegislash, and a whole crew of OU tier pokemon. So I decided to take my Legendaries and throw them into battlespot along with my normal crew. With the combination of stat wrecking status effects and sheer power of legends, I win so many battles and force trainers to drop out of battles after a few rounds.

So the question is, do you think this is fair?

I mean after looking at the Smogon tier list, many Pokemon that are not legendaries are in the same tier as Ho-oh or Reshiram. This leads me to believe that all Uber tier pokemon are just as strong as another. Not all my Pokemon in the party are ubers, and I usually don't bring mine out if my opponent has no ubers in their party. But at the end of the day, how fair is this? Is boxart legends taking things too far? Or since they are all in the same tier, it's fair game?

As far as I know, Ubers plays completely different than OU. You are basically foddering your team in order to weaken your oppoenent and after that's done you take out your Ubers-Setup-Sweeper and sweep through the opponents team. Non-Ubers are only useful, when they have something that allows them to do their job (e.g. Ferrothorn having so much defense that it's able to take a hit and set up rocks)

It's only unfair if your opponent plays by smogon rules. Considering I'm probably the biggest hater of Smogon's rules, that doesn't matter.
Don't worry about it. Just play how you want and ignore everyone who whines at you for "cheating".

I myself think it's impossible to cheat in Pokèmon, as all of Smogon's rules are optional.

Eh well it is Unrated Battle Spot. They allow all pokes there so....

Somestimes I go onto unrated Battle Spot with a team full of uber legendaries just for funsies

Rated Battle Spot does have a banlist, though I don't exactly agree with it.

In retrospect, I wish I'd participated in the Enter the Dragon-Type tournament. They allowed Mythical and Legendary Pokemon and I've wanted to use Diancie in a competitive setting for while...

Speaking of which, and I know it's a bit off topic, is Diancie useful? I mean, it has a quad-weakness to Steel, but both Mega and non-Mega have solid stats. Regular is more defensive and Mega is more offensive. Plus, that quad-weakness isn't too glaring as Steel isn't really an offensive type, aside from Aegislash and M-Aggron.

The point that I make is that Blaziken/Mega Blaziken, Mega-Kangaskahn (spelling?), Greninja, Mega Salamence, Mega Mawile, and Aegislash are all in the same tier as the boxart legends. This is why my ratio to wins and losses have been about 50-50. Most of my team are in the tier of UU and below, but I have used Blaziken and Greninja every now and then. So when I use Pokemon who are in the same tier as what my opponents usually brings out, my win ratio has gone up to 90-10.

I mean, I CAN use Blaziken, Mega-Kangaskahn (spelling?), Greninja, Mega Salamence, Mega Mawile, and Aegislash, but most of these are Pokemon I don't particularly care for. Not to mention that my opponents sometimes throw in one boxart/event legendary or two. By winning with lower tier pokemon, I show off that I am a superior trainer, and using Ubers make me feel as cheap as the opponents that I face (but still winning).

You should feel even cheaper when you face people that actually know what they're doing. :)

Like I said, forget tiers. Let other people tell you you're cheating, then laugh and kick 'em in the balls.
