Electronic Arts (EA) is once again having a conference the day before the show floor opens. Nothing much to expect so far since there's no confirmation, but possibly more news about games like Star Wars Battlefront? We'll see.

Some optional discussion questions:

What do you expect or hope from EA this year?
Share any other thoughts here!

*Be aware that this thread is open for discussion before, during, and after their E3 conference!*

I'm wondering whether they show something new about the NFS and preferably say why did they decide to go full online with it.

Wouldn't it be sweet if EA blinded everyone and presented a new IP that was both unrelated to anything they've done so far, and isn't a licensed game.

Are we talking about the EA we all know?

Starting with Mass Effect. Smart, can't believe I didn't consider them showing this.

Oh, muk, and Will Wright might be showing up. Fun.

Despite their rep, Satoshi, EA does try to come out with new IP fairly often. They use their annual releases and AAA non-annual sequels to help keep new IP development afloat enough to try to come out with a new cash cow. They may be known as the evil empire, but that drive for profits to please shareholders does necessitate trying to come up with a golden new IP as often as possible.

And they are nowhere near as bad a company as they used to be. Ubisoft and Activision are arguably worse at this point.

Oh, ****, and Will Wright might be showing up. Fun.
I bet it's just a fanservice callback rather than anything new. Or maybe it's a chance for Will to market his latest project.
whoops

You've guessed right, as they revealed Unravel, which is one of the few titles that's more interesting than the others EA showcased in their conference. *coughmobilecough*

Despite EA consistenly reminding me that Star Wars: Battlefront was a thing to keep me engaged, I ended up having to leave. So.... what did I miss on Star Wars: Battlefront?

Shocked myself, actually. What's with the focus on yarn-games though? First Yoshi's Woolly World and now Unravel. Is everyone tryna emulate LBP or something?

Here's the demo trailer:

A lot of users are saying it's Battefield with a Star Wars skin.

That is legitimately what I said about this. It's just like other DICE games.

But I'm hopeful it will be grand. Love me some original Battlefront, so hey.

Unravel is win of the E3.
EA, you may not have won E3 completely, but this game is something I will definitely remember the most from this E3.

Looking at the new trailer for it, I am glad that it showed that the player can still use the AT-AT. I am going to enjoy killing Rebel scum with it again.

A lot of people were saying this was the worst conference which for me highlights how spoiled we have been these last two days because there were some good announcements here.

Need For Speed looks like it's back on form, Battlefront looks absolutely spectacular which has turned around my initial impressions of it and NBA Live looks like it won't be absolute garbage this year (I mean it doesn't look NBA2K level either but it's a large step forward). Mass Effect also seems rather good, but it's a shame there wasn't a trilogy remaster because now I can't catch up on the story. Granted the other sports games (especially Fifa sigh) haven't had any major changes and they spent too much time on mobile, but overall we had some positive things to take out of it.
