Can I just resize a map in AdvanceMap and make it bigger or will that corrupt the rom? Is it safe if I choose a new offset place with enough space? Or should I better stick with the original sized maps to create mine?

Thanks for your help, guys.

As long as you repoint to enough FF free space, you're fine.

And where can I repoint a map in AdvanceMap? I would also read a tutorial where it is explained. I just didn't find any.

Which ROM are you hacking?

Some nice free space at 0xE3CF64 in Emerald, 0x800000 in FireRed.

Sorry, i wasn't clear. I didn't mean to which place. I meant where in AdvanceMap, or how can I do it?

If you're using 1.92, it should repoint automatically. With 1.95, I believe you can toggle on or off automatic repointing.

(Edit: turns out it's an option in both versions. I'd recommend just letting A-map take care of it for you, otherwise you'll be doing a lot of repointing.)

I counter this reccommendation. If you're hacking Emerald it will repoint to areas which aren't free space and corrupt your music. Should be ok for FireRed though.
