I've done that a few times. I'm sure this has happened a handful of times, but I can only recall one in particular. I woke up thinking I was in my room, but wasn't at all. I was on vacation and slept on the couch of the beach house I was staying in. After a few seconds of sheer panic, I finally remembered what was going on and went to get some coffee.

Usually, though, I just orient myself in a weird way, like sideways or upside-down, so whatever I'm looking at when I wake up doesn't look like whatever I was looking like when I went to sleep. Like this morning. Freaked me out.

One night, I managed to unfortunately get so drunk I woke up on my bed with absolutely no memory of how I even got home in the first place. Somehow I hadn't lost anything on the way as well. It was crazy.

Sadly though my shoes were all over the place and it seemed like I had rekt the kitchen in my drunken state to get what it looked like a glass of water so my parents definitely knew what I had been doing sigh

Every New Years, it happens to me ALL THE FREAKING TIME MAN. I pass out after drinking too much, then for some odd reason I end up in someone else's house without remembering a damn thing.

Then earlier this year I was on a skype call, sitting on my desk, and the next morning I ended up on the floor with two spilled beers on the carpet and my laptop with a dead battery. (Hey Zach, remember that night?!)

I remember one time that it did happen. I went to bed, the next morning I woke up laying on the couch in the living room really sick (Dehydration) wandering what happened and what was going on because I saw my parents in a state of panic, I still to this day don't know how I got there, rather I dragged myself in there and forgot about it or if one of my parents carried me all the way there. I also had 2 other incidents of something like this occurring, but I was able to remember what happened, coincidentally I was also sick these 2 times, and they are nearly identical, woke up sick, walked into an area of my house, fell asleep in that area, and woke up wandering how and why I was there only to remember a minute later how and why.

When I used to take a shower before school and then would lay back down in bed because I had been up until 4 or 5 in the morning and then woke up at 6 or 7. Then I'd wake up at noon or so and yeah.

An example of not knowing where I am has happened all of once to me. When I was younger (don't remember even the age range), I was at my grandparents' house, fell asleep in one bed, woke up the next morning in another one...was so very confused. Apparently my dad had moved me from one bed to the other in the middle of the night for whatever reason, and I just didn't remember it happening at all.

The problem I have now, if it ever happens, is not knowing when. This is not a common occurrence thankfully, but I've had times where I've fallen asleep, and then end up waking up with a jolt because I don't remember when I got there, don't remember when I fell asleep, and thus also have no idea of what time it's supposed to be. Still rather disorienting.

I've been hit by a car once and was unconscious for ten minutes maybe. When I regained consciousness lying on the ground I was suddenly surrounded by a group of people and my first reaction was: "Where am I? What happened?". But looking at the situation and the returning of my memory of a few moments before, made me able to construct what has happened pretty quickly.

I have never had a full blackout on what has happened before I woke up.

sometimes when I sleep over a friend's house when I first wake up I think I'm in my room at first and then quickly realize where I am. Only time I've been pretty confused was after getting really drunk one night I woke up in my bed at like 5am not sure of what happened past a certain time in the night.

I don't think I've ever had this issue. Coincidentally, sometimes I wake up and I'm so disoriented, I forget how my room is set up or in what position I'm laying down in or what way I'm facing. I proceed to get dizzy and really really confused and have to spend a couple minutes to gather myself. :(

Well it happened the worst way possible. I was at my Algebra class at school, and I had slept very late the night before, so I decided to take a nap at the back of the room. I assumed the teacher the teacher would wake me up at the end of the class.

Turns out the teacher was a douche, and later said he wanted to teach me a "lesson". I had just missed my bus and my Mom was enraged with me. I decided to lie to her telling here I had some after school work as I knew she's blow up if she knew I slept during the lesson.
