Quick question. If we submit our own sprites, do you prefer them to be wholly scratched/pixel over'd rather than fuzed? I didn't really see a line about that but if this is going to be widely used I figured there were bound to be some folks who frowned upon the latter, and I'll see about adjusting this to some form of drawn sketch instead if that is preferred.

• 'Dex Description: Jimeneon are a resilient species and very laid back. If a limb weakens from battle damage or simple every-day deterioration and cracks off, they will bring it back to their trainer and then go out in search of similar stones to shape to their liking. Once a new a limb is readied they will bond to the new pieces over a day and night. It is thought that their ability to mend themselves leads to an incredibly long vitality, and rumors say that some Jimeneon's date back to the Edo period.

Flighteon
The Flying Eeveelution.
Flighteon has a sky blue face and sky blue paws. It has thick, cloudy fur. Big, white wings spread out from its back, enabling it to fly. When it attacks, it may use some of its fur as a projectile.
Ability: Soft Fluff
Reduces damage from physical moves.

So long as it looks like an original design, it should be okay. It shouldn't resemble an existing pokémon unless it has a reason to do so (such as being related to the pokémon that it resembles)

The one you've submitted looks fine, in that regard.

So far my main criticism for the sprites that have been submitted is that they're super tiny, which isn't a huge deal haha.

my main problem with Banshei is that it's overly simple, both in name and design. The concept itself is fine, though. I could try and help with the design, if you'd like?

Also, I'll be pulling some of my designs from the previous project and resubmitting them here. Those designs mainly being Sorciel, Furvia, Delcrofet, Cirreon, and Teurrorox. I might redesign a few and see if some previous contributors wouldn't mind having some of their old designs transferred over as well.

Keep up the submissions, guys! And don't be afraid to comment on one another's designs and see if you can't come up with some group ideas!

As it stands, I've yet to update the original post (sowwys), so I'll probably do that in a few moments. I'm redesigning Banshei atm, and am currently trying to overcome a little snag in that design haha (read: the hair my goodness)

as for your new designs, Bac, my thoughts:

ngl, I prefer Tak's first design. The main differences I see are that it has a slightly lighter coloring, blue eyes, and no whiskers. Also, the pose. I just think the first design looks more appealing

as for Aquirrel, its . . . eye is coming off of its face? That's really my only problem there haha

though for Masqueirelle, I like the concept you have going but . . . literally the only difference between the forms are the abilities. The item doesn't even become part of its body, as it's just holding it, so I don't really see how the mask does much of anything for the evolution? (and, tbh, while I like the items themselves, I'm not sure how I feel about a man-made masque being the catalyst for evolution. Unless they have some weird energy flowing through them, and if they did that would probably need to be explained)

I have the beginnings of some ideas for Masqueirelle, so I'll get back to you on that. d:

First off, I'm really happy to see this rebooted. The last project fell under some heavy downtimes, mostly due to it being my fault. Seeing it now as a much more open community project means it's less restrictive than the last one, so I hope it continues on for far longer :,)

For stats, I was thinking they should reflect the designs, with competitiveness afterwards.

Now, I have a sort of dumb question:
If I were to, say, submit fakemon here that ends up being used in that World of Pokecommunity thing, will I still be allowed to use them in my personal fakedex? I completely understand if it's not, as this is supposed to be a community project, but I just thought it would be a "kill two birds with one stone" scenario.
Smogon, for example, does something similar, in which the community bands together to create fakemon, but whichever design wins will be somewhat "owned" by Smogon and is then no longer allowed to be used in any other personal projects by anyone.
I'm asking this since the only disclaimer I read is "If you're not okay with your designs being used by others, then you should keep that in mind before/when posting here." So, in the event that I'm fine with others using my designs, but also wish to use them as well in other projects, how exactly does this play out?

I see no reason why not! One of my purposes with this project is the help give the regions in The World of PC a little better continuity. That way, fakemon created there can be compiled here and then shared between all the regions there, like an actual pokedex. I know some of the regions in WoPC are also going to be featured in hack games and whatnot, as well.

So yes, you may still use them elsewhere!

Jokai are seldom seen outside the summer season, around the time when festivals are taken place. They are notorious for causing mischief, but are always welcome for keeping spirits high when parties are going on.

Fanshee are known to lump up with others of its kind and sleep in large groups of wool. Thepink wool on its body are known to make anyone fall asleep when made into pillows.

Also, I found this to be a very good read on making fakemon. I'm not expecting anyone to take these all in to fact, but it does make very noteworthy suggestions, especially the sections "Pokémon Are Not Simply Animals" and "Pokémon Are Simple".
There are also sections on that site that help tremendously with spriting fakemon as well, but I'm sure that's not as important :)

Bacteriophage, we already have a clone of Mew. We don't need a second one.

Pokémon Design or Physique Description: Multida have a rabbit-like physique not unlike Plusle's. It has green 'antlers' that look like multiplication signs, green cheeks with multiplication signs in them, a large green multiplication sign on its torso, and its tail is shaped like guess what.

The power of Electric type moves is boosted even more than normal in a thunderstorm.

Note: They were based off of jackalopes (as, supposedly, they are associated with lightning), explaining their aggressive natures.

Also, Sunfished, a little tip. Fanshee will probably have superior Special Defense and HP, while Jokai might have more Speed.

• Ability: Dragon Nature.
  • any move that is used to KO Kyurem Origin Forme loses 10 PP and 50% power/accuracy for the remainder of the battle.
• Classification: Immense Boundary Pokemon.
• Gender Ratio: Genderless.
• 'Dex Description: The dragon of Unova myths, it is a perfect cohesion between Truth and Ideals again and crawls the land in search of a trainer worthy of its alliance. The hardy bronze skin and thick muscles are said to remember every blow it has ever been dealt, and if it encounters the same move twice, it gradually acclimatizes itself to the damage dealt thereafter for the rest of its life.
  • Kyurem, Origin Forme [Impossible choice/DNA Splicers] > Kyurem, Zekrom, Reshiram [Unity/DNA Splicers] > Kyurem, Origin Forme.

No wings or extravagant tail, which I chalk up to the desires of the two princes responsible for splitting Kyurem in the first place with their crazy concept of Truth and Ideals. Just a plainer, hardier dragon.

I thought if Mewtwo has a Mega-evolution then Mew should too.
Mew can use any other pokemon's megastone to mega-evolve because it is the ancestor of all pokemon.

I hope it's okay that I didn't make a sprite for it, Instead I drew it and colored it in photoshop :P
