Hey guys! If given the option to know the exact date and time of your death, would you want to know? Why? Why not?

I wouldn't want to know, The anxiety would drive me insane (well, moreso then I already am, heh) I don't think I'd be able to live my life to its fullest knowing it, especially the last few weeks would be really trying.

If learning about it gives me the ability to alter it, then yes.

It's also useful for those with unhealthy lifestyle and diet! {XD}

But if I can't alter it then no thanks. It's weird, thinking about it. It's obvious that death is every life form's final destination, yet it feels weird to imagine myself in that situation.

I'm not sure if I would want to know.

If I know it might cause me to become anxious. It could also help me change my ways since now I know what I will pass away as. A douchebag? A grumpy person? A lazy person? I have no idea.

It really depends on the rules. Is this my only possible time to die, meaning I can't before this? Because, yeah, it be fun to know then. And I could do some awesome theatrics for my final moment. You know, que me driving in on a tank playing guitar.

But honestly, I wouldn't pick it, because I don't think it can be good for one's mental health. I'd be basing my whole life of that single bit of knowledge, and I don't want that.

I don't think I'd want to know...I mean, what would be the point? Knowing the maximum amount of time I'd be able to live would fill me with anxiety and a steadily growing sense of despair which would probably dominate what remained of my life. That would always be hovering in the background. The knowledge that death will claim us is something we all have to live with, but I think the uncertainty of it makes it bearable: who knows when it will be? Why worry about it? Knowing would make it a major concern even if it was years away, and it'd only get worse as the date got closer.

It's almost a certainty the knowledge would be useless to me anyway: I'd kill myself long before that date arrived, so I could choose my own end...plus I'm a spiteful bugger, so I'd kill myself before then just to stick it to whoever or whatever set the time and date as a matter of principle. An "I die when I please, not when you tell me!" sort of thing.

I would not want to know because then I'd be in constant fear and worrying I may not do what I want to before I perish.

I'd want to know if I could change my destiny using the knowledge. If that's not an option on the tables, of course not! I don't want to spend years in fear of an inevitable doom!

Honestly, no.

I already think about the extremely limited amount of time we have on the Earth too often, I don't need to add more fuel to that fire.

I'd say no. In another circumstance, I'd probably say yes, because then I'd be able to change my ways, but say I was dying in a week; a week's work of good citizenship wouldn't matter versus sixteen years of messing things up.

I'm positive I'd rather know the date for the end of my life. It helps you plan things out, to do what you need to do before you die. And whether you know the date or not, we're all gunna die someday. No point getting anxious over it :3

November 15th 2054.

Having a little punt. Anyone who remembers this post after my death can look back and see how right or wrong I was. Think I'm being a bit optimistic, but time will tell.

I don't want to know cause then I'd just live in fear and anxiety. Also, I fixed the title because it was bugging me so much...sorry, lol.

No, I don't want to know. I know from past experience that I'm the sort of person who worries/dwells about upcoming stressors, and if I knew the date (even if it was 100+ years off), I would think about it nonstop and feel like I was counting down the days of my existence. For certain matters, ignorance is bliss.

I'm thinking I would rather not.

Now if it were one of those deals where I know and in knowing I have the chance to change things, then maybe. Huge maybe. But if it's one of those "can't change fate no matter what, here's when you'll die regardless of how much you fight" deals like I think it's more likely to be...I'll pass. Ignorance is bliss in this situation, so please let me continue on as such.

I wouldn't want to know. It'd just make me anxious, counting down each day before that date comes, dreading it. I'd probably like to try to change it or alter the circumstances, but who knows if that wouldn't make it come even sooner? :s
