So, what was/is your favorite thing about school? What was/is your least favorite thing?

I think the last one might be self-explanatory. XD I still want to see what people have to say about their experiences. ^^ Also, was applies to those not in school, and is applies to those that are.

For me, the only best thing was my friends. They made going to school worth it for me, but it still didn't mean I enjoyed it. There were a lot of things I hated like how teachers often misunderstood my needs in resource classes (special education) at times. I dreaded going because I also went through some intense bullying, which eventually died down once I reached Desert Ridge; the school I graduated from. I also got bullied a lot by some teachers in a life skills program I was in as well. I won't go too much into detail, just because I'd hate to open up old wounds. :/

So, what about you guys?

I loved having a bunch of friends who were silly like me to hang out with. We weren't really the best behaved. We were slightly rebellious, but teachers who exerted their authority could easily get us to behave and do all our work. I just miss goofing off with my friends, but I also enjoyed certain classes like Gym, Art, English, and to an extent History.

I actually really enjoyed school. I had a couple of rough years at the start of Secondary School where I was forced to do subjects I really did not want to do - Wood Tech, French and P.E. - but once I was allowed to drop those and pursue subjects I was really interested in, I enjoyed it immensely. I've always loved learning and the school environment in general. My favourite lessons were probably Art (because we didn't really do anything for two hours but talk and watch anime) and History (which I've always found interesting) although English and even Maths were quite fun, too.

What I DIDN'T like were my classmates. I was bullied something awful, I fell out with my circle of friends on a weekly basis almost, and I just didn't fit in, I guess. I was happiest off in a corner of the library by myself, and that was where I spent most of my breaks. A couple of my teachers were real pricks, too...although they were teaching the subjects I wanted to give up. Coincidence? xD

my opinions on (high) school are pretty weird -- I absolutely love being the age of 14-18, but I really don't like the actual schooling portion. Let Me Explain. I love my friends and I love the sense of wonder I kinda have of the things around me that only a teenager can have -- idk if I come off as cynical on here but I try my best not to be a cynic at heart and actually appreciate everything around me while I have literally 0 responsibility so when I think back on all this muk and everyone around me is going "I Didn't Appreciate It Enough..." I can say that I actually did appreciate it enough, which is nigh impossible but I'm going to do my best. I really don't like having to get up early to go to school but even that's okay when I've got everything else going on that only a 17 year old can have going on. I don't wanna grow up.

My favorite thing is definitely being able to see my friends, I love them to bits and they make school work worth it. My least favorite part is probably the work load, its ridiculous how buys I am nowadays.

Like others said, hanging out with friends was one of my favorite things about school along with extracurricular activities I was involved in when in high school. Least favorite thing is when some people I would hang out with and thought were my friends suddenly left me without giving a reason.

The worst part of high-school I've ever had (thank GOD it's over) was being slammed against the lockers by a brute for "bein' a wimp."
The best part is when I knocked him on his ass 10 seconds later.
I don't suffer through my insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Having dropped out in the 9th grade, I really don't have a lot of experience with grade school. I do, however, have very fond experiences with college life. It's very different from grade school and in a very, very good way. I adore everything about it, but what shines bright for me are the classes that engage my mind and imagination. I love anything related to philosophy, literature, and of course my major, which is psychology. I can honestly say that this is the best part of my life so far.

I detested school until I got to college. High school was a major source of stress for me because even though I was a decent student, the people were generally unbearable. But things really started to turn around when I started going to college. I got involved in a field that I've always been passionate about, and the difference is like night and day. The people I'm around are much nicer, too. Even though it's a lot more work than high school, I genuinely enjoy it.

Most favorite thing about school is the friends.. and that's about it really. Some of the extra-curricular activities are fun but they are far too limited. I didn't like how everybody had to learn the same subjects and the lack of freedom the students have. I study in a private school, and males have to have their hair cut to a specific length, and females must wear a clip or a ponytail at all times and argh there's more it's just super strict :(
