Are you more literal or figurative when you talk to someone?
It depends on my mood. I like hyperbole and ridiculous metaphors, so I'm usually more figurative when I'm in the mood for conversation; it makes the conversation more interesting for me, because otherwise I am a very literal person. When I start using figurative language people often have a hard time telling if I'm serious or not, because they perceive it as being out of character...which I suppose it is, as I am rather blunt most of the time. Me being figurative is me having fun.

So, a bit of both.

I guess I'm a literal speaker. I don't really know because my interactions with others are awkward compared to most people. So, it depends on how people interpret the way I speak to them. I mean, my autism tends to make socializing sort of a challenge because like I said, my social skills tend to be awkward and well... not fully developed? I tend to speak in the way I've learned over the years. I do think I'm a more literal speaker because up until eighth grade, I had to take speech therapy as well. *shrug* I didn't show interest in speaking until about three or four, according to my parents. Even when I did learn, I couldn't express myself basically the way I can today.
