Germs

Do you always make sure to wash your hands after using the restroom? How conscious are you of germs in general?

I'm quite neurotic when it comes to germs. While I don't quite wash my hands every 5-10 minutes I do make sure to wash my hands after using the restroom and it really irritates me that so many people do not. I'm also quite unnerved by cockroaches, who isn't right? But even if there's a dead one lying around I'll struggle to work up the courage to scoop it up and dispose of it.

I'm very conscious of this! I always wash my hands but I'm always berating my family because they don't and it's just gross. I refuse to touch their hands lol

I wouldn't say I was germ conscious, more that I practice good hygeine and common sense. I wash my hands after I've been to the toilet, before I handle food, and after handling something that might have been handled by others, who don't usually practice good hygeine...or, at least, not as good as I would have it if it were left up to me.

I'm extremely neurotic sometimes and have enough problems as it is; I try not to let my worry about catching something bother me by just practising good hygeine. It's pretty routine, not difficult, and I don't feel the need to wash my hands compulsively. Slightly more than what is considered "normal" perhaps, but not TOO much more. Better to be safe than sorry, though.

I handle food for a living, so I wash my hands several times a day, and I'll wash my forearms as well. Outside of work I wash my hands after going to the bathroom and cleaning something around the apartment. I like to practice good hygiene as it tends to bug me when people don't.

after the bathroom, after using cleaning products, after cleaning litter boxes, after handling raw meat/fish/eggs. if i'm cooking for myself i dont give a psyduck but if i'm cooking for others then i wash my hands every so often while cooking. but really i'm not that germophobic. the more little things my immune system comes into contact with, the stronger it gets. :D

I have recently always kept washing my hands all the time, even after not touching dirty objects. I guess it's my mother that's caused me to care about cleanliness that's to blame here.

I do wash my hands often, and it became a hobby of mine. You can wash all you want, but you're gonna end up dirtying it a few seconds after.

I'll wash my hands if they definitely should be washed - such as after using the restroom, handling certain foods, if they get something on them...stuff like that. I don't worry too much outside of that, not even to worry if something I'm touching is particularly germy or not.

The big exception being if I'm handling food for others. Even if I don't clean my hands beforehand "just in case" if I'm making food just for myself, I'm definitely doing it when the food is meant for other people as well.

If you don't wash your hands after using the restroom then I don't want to be near you. That's disgusting. I don't see how it an "optional" thing anyway, it's common sense and courtesy to wash your hands. It's quick way diseases can spread if you don't. I'm not pedantic when it comes to keeping clean - aka NO GERMS!!1!! - because we're pretty much covered head to toe in them. I like to keep clean, smelling fresh, and sharp.
