the only ones that really annoy me are the ones i hear all the damn time no matter what the context
this 14yo i tutor's fav phrases are "that is so me"/"me", "what are thooooose", and "same" and she doesnt even use them in appropriate context augh

used properly, i'm totes chill with any slang, abbreviated or common phrasing.

"on fleek" because its so forced and the very few people that say it clearly just say things to sound trendy but really aren't.

Twerk: This is the worst. Why even coin a term for something like that?
Bae / Baby / Babygirl: It just seems really condescending to me. :/ Babygirl is just the worst..
Pleb: This word was ok when people first started using it but got annoying quickly.
Retard / Autist: It's pretty rude to call people retarded or autistic as an insult.

That post was really on fleek. :P and yes, I'm aware this is totally inappropriate context and usage for the term

But really no terms come to mind... other than the "would of"/"would've" type stuff. And that I can write off as most people being offensively awful at grammar and spelling.

dank. i used to be amused by it, but over time people decided it needs to describe everything. and "triggered" or any variation being used as a joke. stop that.

i might have more but i'll just post again later if something comes up.

I think I get used to new slang pretty easily - I won't use them but words I used to find really stupid like the aforementioned "bae", "yolo", etc. no longer bother me since they are like years old at this point and I hear them every day.

"On fleek" is the new thing I hate but will probably get used to hearing in time.

Phrases and slang, for the most part anyway, never bother me. What does bother me though, is when people say "axe" instead of "ask". It's extremely common where I live, especially when you get in the city, and it drives me up the wall.

Besides everything that's already been said, "I could care less" comes to mind. People say it when they really don't care about something, but the reason it bugs me is because that's not what they mean. If they really don't like it they should say, "I couldn't care less". They're implying that they care about it at least a little, and that's not what people are trying to say most of the time. It just bugs me.

Also, "extraordinary" bugs me a lot, but not when people use it. I just think it's a weird word since you're saying that something is phenomenal, yet when you break down the word it turns into, extra-ordinary.

At first I thought the thread is about the Ts and Cs. {XD}
I use most of those terms in a joking way for teasing people.

'Scrub'. It's just a weird variation of 'noob/newb' which makes no sense whatsoever. Is it a reference to janitor occupations or what?

Old Street Fighter term. Used to be for people who mashed their controller playing since it looked like they're scrubbing their controllers. Pretty much became a general term now, mostly in the FGC.

One that really comes to mind is "finna" which supposedly mean "going to" or "fixing to" and seriously? Can't you just say "I'm going to" or "I'm gonna" ? Do we have to make up slang for everything now? Also, "bae" which I use ironically/jokingly, but still, why cant you just say "babe" or "boyfriend'?
