So, PC... do you ever paint your nails? What colors do you usually paint them (if you do)? For guys (if you don't paint yours): Do you like girls who paint their nails or get pedis/manis? Why or why not?

I used to, but I don't anymore. I always fail at it because I have poor coordination in my hands and fingers lately. One of the things I do try is paining my fingernails black. ^^ I swear I'm not emo

When I was younger, I'd sometimes be fine with painting my nails in really bright, metallic, or just pretty colors; my favorites were yellow, light/metallic blue, red, and sometimes brighter shades of pink. I'd only ever paint my fingernails, though, because since I always wear close-toed shoes, having a pedicure felt like a waste. :c I've never liked having acrylic nails stuck on top of mine, though; I'm always tempted to peel them off, and they got in the way when I was taking ceramics in 9th grade.

I paint my toenails because I have my grandfather's toes. I especially try to keep them painted during summer because heels and sandals. But I just try to keep them painted at all times because they look discolored and I'd rather them be painted than be naturally ugly.

Fingernails? Hahahaha. Haha. Haaaahahahaha. You have to have those to paint them.

I made a thread very similar to this but yours is a lot better than mine. xD I don't really paint my toenails because I just don't care very much about how my toes look, but I paint my nails all sorts of different colors! Especially my favorites black, silver, and pink. I used to get professional manicures done every few weeks, and now that I have culinary classes I can't grow my nails out anymore because it's against their policy to have long nails, so I keep them short and unpolished for now.

Oh boy! long story Incoming!

I was visiting some family for thanksgiving years ago and my uncle, cousin and I went to a mall mostly cause we were bored. My cousin drug my uncle somewhere else and she made it rather clear that she didn't want me along so I wandered the mall alone. On my way to this display Nintendo had set up to show off a few new/upcoming games this woman, speaking in an accent I could not identify to save my life caught me out of the crowd and urged me to come check out her booth. She started really pushing me into buying this manicure set in a two pack for 40$ and insisted that I demo the product despite me insisting that I wouldn't have anyone to gift this to. She seemed incredibly desperate for a sale.

That demo killed any willingness for me to want to do anything like that in the future. I remember that she took this brick and started sanding down my thumbnail, destroying my cuticles while she was at it. After that she took these two liquids and coated my thumb with each of them, I assume one of them was polish because my thumbnail was shiny for months after this but I have no idea what the other one was. I think it was some kind of protecting fluid or something.

Afterwords she tried to push the sale again and I've never been the kind of person to just flatly say no so I started explaining to her that I was a student and 40$ was a big purchase for me. When I said this she gave me a "Special deal" She offered to sell me one for 20$ instead of two for 40$. I was mildly frustrated at this "Special deal" and that my Cuticles were still hurting, not to mention that the only person I knew who would have a chance at enjoying this was a jerk to me and ditched me about half an hour ago. Somehow I finally managed to leave the stand with the reasoning that I didn't have enough money on me *Which was a complete lie*. This in combination with how I was never really close to anyone who enjoyed it is why I never enjoyed this kind of stuff. In the end I finally got to the Nintendo booth and won a Plastic poke-ball which could hold 3DS games that I still use to this day.

TLDR: Crazy lady with weird accent got me to demo a manicure product, It was incredibly unpleasant, Never wanted to try it ever again.

I do sometimes, actually not very often because I'm lazy. (Like, I had this one blue polish on my toes for about two months and I never took it off even when there was hardly any left.) I'm kinda sloppy at it so I'll do it when I know I don't have to go anywhere and I'll have a chance to pick off the areas where I painted my skin while I'm in the shower. I wouldn't pay money for anyone else to though, because it's overpriced and they cut your cuticles.
