The reverse of my previous thread "Which Pokemon should ALWAYS be a part of a competitive team?"

In your opinion, which Pokemon do you think doesn't deserve to ever be part of a regular 6-Pokemon Competitive Team?

Not going to say the obvious "unevolved Pokemon" or "Pokemon that aren't fully evolved". Of all Pokemon that can't evolve, I'd say Dunsparce, Beautifly, most of the Pikachu rip-offs, and Delibird come to mind when I think of Pokemon that are complete trash competitively.

I'll go with Magikarp, Smoochum, Elekid, Magby, and Regigigas.

Unless someone has some cool sets they can recommend.

BTW Dunsparce has the best Serene Grace movepool in the game, not sayin, I'm just sayin.
The Prism League is opening for its second season and looking for new members! 6v6 Multiformat battles on cartridge are the name of the game. We implore you to join if you enjoy competitive battling in any format.

most of the Pikachu rip-offs
Have you forget about Pachirisu in the world championship ? ;)

For me, I won't use a Pokemon under 450 base stats. I know some people who won't use a Pokemon under 500. But a lot of my favorite Pokemon are under 500 lol.

There is a lot of Pokemon I love but I won't play with, like Farfetch'D, Delibird, Dodrio, Dewgong, Arbok, Sandslash, Venomoth, Cherrim (althought these last 3 I could definetly made one some day), Fearrow, Butterfree, Beedrill, Raticate..... a lot more too...
I miiiiight be back?
And why am I not a supporter anymore >.<

I'd say, all but like maybe 60-80 Pokemon shouldn't be used competitively.. Because those select few are vastly superior competitively compared to the rest of Pokemon, unfortunately.

A personal disappointment of mine is Aurorus. I love it's design, and I thought *maybe* that with Refrigerate ability + Hyper Voice I could get away with it in the Doubles UU format in Pokemon Showdown, but alas it remains crapadoodle. I doubt it could find use in VGC or BattleSpot doubles, either.

As far as Pokemon that are used competitively and don't deserve the usage they get, I'd say Typhlosion.. Of course it's not used often at all, but I've seen it a few more times than I should have (which is not at all.) Kudos to people for using the Pokemon if they just like it though, I guess.

Dragonite and Lucario.

Also Scarf Intimidate Tauros.

And Thunder Gyarados.

Are you assuming a Smogon OU singles format as the only "competitive" one?
But even then, Dragonite is still a relatively solid addition. It's especially potent using Dragon Dance if it gets the right opening to use it. But even without Dragon Dance, it's attack + decent bulk and ability make a good offensive Pokemon , even with the rather mediocre speed.

Lucario is probably not the greatest choice, but it can survive on an OU team without being dead weight. I certainly wouldn't say it should "NEVER be a part of a competitive team."
Also Scarf Intimidate Tauros.

Idk personally I don't like to use mons that are over reliant on one move after setting up(BD Azumarill, etc.) or weak Assault Vest mons such as Raikou. Also avoid using mons that are easily outclassed by something similar.

And ofc use common sense and don't use mukty mons that serve no purpose than being cute on your team :^) Castform is an exception

Guess what was removed from PS Random Battles a while ago?

Enough said.

@ People mentioning Dunsparce: just wait until you face a Body Slam or Glare / Headbutt / Roost Dunsparce. Flinches for days.

Nah they are both very bad.

Dragonite has 4 bad MSS (Extremesuck is useless on DD sets) and every team featuring fairies, Lando-T, Prankster, Quagsire, Skarm, Hippow, pokemon with def eves its dead weight and will contribute near to nothing to match ups aka vs all teams. Same with Lucario.

I am p sure I can beat some lower ladder people with an unown
Hmmmm didnt help you vs Clefairy or Farfetch'd tho. ;x

Dragonite always seems like it could function as an interesting defensive wall/supporter, but its typing just isn't suitable for that. e.g. Heal Bell Nite would be a good Keldeo check if it weren't for Icy Wind.

Lead with it for a guaranteed Tailwind (Multiscale)? ;D

The other problem with Heal Bell Dragonite is that it can't have Multiscale, since that ability was introduced way after XD: Gale of Darkness, thus making Heal Bell and Multiscale illegal together. No, Dragonite can't have Heal Bell via tutor either.

I'm one for giving every mon a chance, and most can work with the right team support. The worst mon I can think of at the moment is Unown. Mons with limited movepools in general fall along my least favorite, but Unown is just awful.

Half of those pokemon I would use in game just to use them infact I might actually do a solo with arbok for the fun of it plus it can use dark type moves and with air balloon hehehe it can also learn Aqua tail and coil and giga drain (DIE GROUND TYPE DIEEEEE) making it very versatile and can be utilized as a good tank in game but yeah competitively I would go with weezing cause you know good wall and FLAMRTHROWER (BURRRRRRRRRRRRN SUCKERS BURRRRRRRN). Sorry about the all caps.

Shiny Pokemon I have caught: Rapidash (SS), Linoone (E), Spinda (E), Bibarel (Pt), Weedle (FR), Garbodor (X), Chansey(x5) (X), Audino(x2) (X), Flechinder (Mn), Whiscash (Mn), Magby (Mn), Caterpie (X)

I totally agree with you! Maybe if it had an Evolution &/or a wider moveset I'd have used it, just coz its unique, but an Unown with only Hidden Power, no way it'll find a way into my team.

I'm someone who will always look for a way to break the meta, and I've tried quite a few pokemon, but Muk doesn't really hold well in the upper tiers. Muk is a decent special wall, but when most of the special attackers in OU have Psyshock, and most of the time STAB, it doesn't go well. I wouldn't recommend it.
