Windows Explorer, Waterfox, Foobar2000, Wireshark and VMware Workstation

Sometimes I think to myself "I don;t really need explorer pinned do I?" yet haven't done anything about it because I've gotten used to the placement of all my programs.

Pinning Windows Explorer is useful for me because I use it to pin folder locations I go to frequently enough that they sometimes appear in the "Frequent" section of the pinned item menu, but not frequently enough that they stay there.

Anyway, onto the stuff I have pinned:

Work: Windows Explorer, Excel, Outlook, Word, Chrome, Group Policy Management, Active Directory Users and Computers, Notepad, Remote Desktop, Avaya IP Office Manager, HyperTerminal, Avaya IP Office System Status Monitor, System Center Config Manager Remote Control Viewer, Track-It! Technician Client, IE 11, Firefox, SQL Management Studio, Hyper-V Manager, Snipping Tool, iTunes. With this setup combined with Win+R and the search bar in the Start Menu, I almost never see my desktop icons.

I know my home PC has these for sure, and probably more, just not sure on the order: IE 11, Chrome, Firefox, Steam, YNAB, Opera, Opera 12, Snipping Tool, IE, Windows Explorer, Windows Media Player, iTunes, Excel, and Word. Just going from memory on this one.

Okay, so I'm home now and all of these are there and then some. The order from left to right:

Control Panel, IE 11, Word, Opera 11, Region Census (a fan-developed Sim City 4 tool for getting stats without loading up the game), Excel, Outlook, Raptr, MAL Updater, Sim City Region and Config Editor (an official tool for editing a region's city tile layouts in Sim City 4 and for generating grayscale images for the game to use to generate the map of the region), ImgBurn, Opera 30, Windows Media Player, Calculator, Chrome, Windows Explorer, Firefox, Steam, Snipping Tool, VLC Media Player, Taiga, and YNAB 4.

Left to right:
-KeePass 2
-Google Chrome
-League of Legends
-Adobe Photoshop CS2
-Microsoft Edge
-Windows Explorer

-Spotify

And that's it! Pretty few programs I know, but hey, I don't really know what else I want down there yet.

On Windows desktop I've pinned:
- Chrome
- Snipping Tool
- WPS Writer
- WPS Presentation
- WPS Spreadsheets
- IDLE
- GIMP

On my laptop running Linux mint I've pinned:
- Chrome
- IDLE
- Terminal

I would pin more on mint but it uses the old XP-style shorcuts bar and my laptop has a 768p display so it would fill the panel too quickly. :V

Right now, I've got Windows Explorer, MS Paint, Notepad, Skype, CCleaner, Photoshop, Kega Fusion, and Firefox pinned to my taskbar.

I always have my taskbar set to auto-hide though, so I don't mind if I've got a bunch of things on it, even if I don't use them all the time.

I've gotten so used to this setup that I've been using for the past 6+ years that I don't think it'd be easy to reorder, since I tend to access programs using Windows key and the number of the item on the taskbar.

File Explorer, Task Manager, Google Chrome, Steam, Mumble, Audacity, Photoshop, OpenOffice, Password Safe, iTunes.
