2015 has birthed a number of quality titles. For whatever reason, be it time constraints, money reasons, or waiting for deals, most of us just can't get to them all. It happens. But now the year is winding down to an end and it's crunch time.

So, are there any games that came out this year that you want (or have but haven't gotten to) but, for some reason, just haven't gotten around to it?

I actually had to find a list on Wiki of what was even released this year. I pay attention to sales, not release dates. That said, this may not be entirely accurate; I dunno how well said wiki has followed the bazillions of Indie titles released on Steam every single day. Nor how many of them I possess from this year.
I was surprised, though. I've bought a lot of things this year, but this list of 15 titles was about all I could come up with that released this year (and hasn't been played or beaten yet).

Never started:
  • Pillars of Eternity (I am so terrible)
  • Grim Fandango: Remastered
  • Assassin's Creed: Rogue
  • Ori and the Blind Forest
  • Oceanhorn: Monster of Uncharted Seas (that'd be the PC release.. I guess it was on iOS first in 2013.)
  • Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition (Mr. BF and I played through the 'original' version and unlocked all but 2 achievements, and we really wanted to tackle it again when we got the free upgrade.. but other games happened)
  • Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water (I downloaded the free bit, the first chapter, and I totally had plans to play it and probably end up buying the whole thing. Never even tried it. Look at me go.)
  • Titan Souls
  • Hatred (don't hate)

Never finished:
  • Undertale (I was so hype. And then I had laptop problems and lost a save that I had a whole 3 hours on. I'll definitely get back to it. Eventually.)
  • Crypt of the Necrodancer (I got to Zone 3. And then died a lot.)
  • I Am Bread (I played what was available in the first few days it was released; haven't touched it since)
  • Resident Evil: Revelations 2 (my boyfriend pre-ordered the 'full season pass' thing for my birthday.. and my dad and I started playing it a few days after it was released and the split-screen patch came in, but we just never got around to finishing it.)
  • LoZ: Majora's Mask 3D (I believe I've voiced my complaints and my disappointment with this quite enough around here :P I'd still like to finish it eventually. ..Just not any time soon.)
  • Story of Seasons (I know it's an 'endless' game, but I'd define 'finishing' it by unlocking/acquiring all the animals and crops, and getting married. I did neither thing. I think I'm still in Spring, Year 2. I started off so strong.. like everything else, lol.)

And semi-related:
Now that Lightning Returns is on Steam, I have plans to finally play FF13 and 13-2. (I didn't want to find out I actually enjoyed them and couldn't even finish the trilogy yet, y'know?)

I've actually done pretty well during the latter half of the year in getting games done. Between August and now, I've finished Tales of Xillia, Tales of Xillia 2, Tales of Zestiria, Earthbound, and I've made headway into Tales of Symphonia and I'm gonna start Undertale soon. In the earlier part of the year, I finished Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep...and I think that's it. :s Most games I started between January and July just...I got kinda busy, especially back during spring semester. I should have a lot of time to get stuff done this coming spring semester since I'm gonna be taking bs classes, haha. I'm surprised I got nearly all A's and managed to finish 4 RPGs this semester. :P

Oh but my backlog in general is just terrible. I've had some games for years that I've literally not even popped into the console yet. :s Whoops.

Didn't play as many games this year as I normally do, mainly because of the games that I played I played a lot of!

Most played game of the year: Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. I logged about 12 hours of in game, online time with that game. Counting the story mode and times just waiting in lobbies, I probably logged around 3 weeks of play time. I don't care what the haters say, this was one of the best CODs ever, and my third favorite behind Black Ops 2 and Modern Warfare 2. Black Ops 3 is garbage in comparison.

The only game that I beat all year was Infamous Second Son. The final boss fight was lame, but the game itself was pretty good. I wasn't really trying to beat games, I just played them for fun. Lately however, I've been trying to beat Arkham Knight (100% with Riddler trophies) and I recently bought AC: Black Flag and GTA v (finally!) on PS4. There still are a lot of games that I palyed throughout the year that I want to beat, and some that are my favorite where you really can't beat (like SMahs Bros. and Destiny). Here's a list of those:

PS4

Fallout 4- love the game but only played a few hours that my friend and I watched. I don't own it yet but will soon.

Star Wars Battlefront- a really good game but I think that I would get bored of it after a few days of playing.

Dragon Age Inquisition- a really good game! It's not really my style, I may borrow it again from my friend just to try and beat it but meh.

The Witcher 3- another game that I borrowed, and really liked! Has some of the best graphic I have seen yet on PS4 but like DA just not my cup of tea. Also played The Witcher 2 when I had my Xbox 360.

Thomas Was Alone- the game has been out forever but I recently played it. A cute, short little game but I still haven't beatne it.

Super Meat Boy- the game makes me want to rip out my hair, but still a very fu ngame! I'm on the last level of the last world!

Binding of Isaac Rebirth- Very fun game, one of my favorites of all time! While I did defeat Mega Satan and unlocked all of the endings, I don't feel like I've really ocmpleted the game because I havne't beaten all of the challenges yet.

Bloodborne- Once again borrowed from a friend then he went to study abroad so I had to give it back o him. A really fun, challenging game! Reminds me a little of DmC and was hard like Dark Soul is (but not as hard).

Batman Arkham Knight- still currently playing. I could beat the main storyline, but I'm trying to 100% complete it so that I can ha ve the satisfaction of unlocking the "true" ending.

GTA 5- just got the game, and already love it. I played it back on Xbox 360 when it first came out and had a blast with it, but it's even better on PS4. I really like the 1st. person made.

Everybody's Gone to the Rapture- I'm about an hour into this game, and I really enjoy it. It's definitely on my list to try to beat over the break, if not then sometime next year.

Destiny: The Taken King- one of my favorite games even if I consider it to be a money guzzler. Like I said earlier, I don't see this game as a game that can be completed until there is no new content being made which will probably be for a while.

Call of Duty Black Ops 3- Don't really like the game, I bought it on impulse and regret doing so. Honestly, was a waste of $60 and I've contemplated selling it back when there's a deal but I don't know yet. You can see my complaints in the BLOPs 3 thread I made a few days back.

And that's all I really remember that I've played on PS4 (I probably forgot some anyways).

I still haven't played Hatred, despite being one of its supporters during all the controversy. Fallout 4 is one that I would play if I had the capability, but right now my computer doesn't quite come up to par. If my old computer hadn't fried on me I would probably be playing Battlefront now as well, as I had discovered it ran pretty well actually from the beta. Anything else I wanted to play but haven't pretty much comes down to being console exclusive. Most of my gaming right now takes place on computer so I can't dig into Mario Maker or Splatoon. Maybe next year if I'm lucky.

As someone who owns Battlefront I agree with you, it's good but boring after a few days.

Here's my list.

PS4
Mortal Kombat X - A game I brought on impulse when I first got my PS4 a few months ago, Not sure if I want to keep it and wait for one of my friends to get for multiplayer or if I should just sell it.
WWE 2K16 - Really good game much better then 2K15 but I need to finish off the Austin Showcase.

Wii U
Bayonetta 1 and 2 - I haven't touch Bayonetta 1 but I did enjoy Bayonetta 2 I just didn't get far.

3DS
Majora's Mask - Pretty much the only Zelda game I like whether it's on the N64 or the 3DS, I may get around to it soon.
Pokemon X - Brought it after I lost my Y copy, I beat the 2nd gym and haven't touched it since.

PC
Half Life - I've be putting it off for two years. Really wanna go through it.
Portal 2 - Me and my friend got halfway through the Co-Op mode which was really fun and that was months ago so we should probably get around to it.
