Sooo pretty simple question here, teehee. Do you guys like fireworks during certain celebrations?

Mostly they're used during the night, and they give off pretty vibrant colors! However, they can get pretty loud if some many of them are being used at once, and it might drive people crazy, haha. But still, what are your take on them?

What do you think of celebration fireworks in general?

I love them!!! They're so great! I can feel the booms deep in my chest and it makes me feel really safe. I especially like the "chandelier" fireworks that sound all crinkly. You know what I mean? I like seeing them every 4th of July, I think the infrequency of them makes them really special.
The only thing that worries me is that they really scare pets, and many pets go missing during fireworks celebrations. :(

I love fireworks, but for me in particular the displays are always great given I live in a city that's world-famous when it comes to firework displays. Like Noa said, I would feel bad for those animals that the noise would scare away though.

I love them but the booming gets annoying after a while. But I hardly ever see any displays anymore even though I'm in NYC, had so many chances too.. lol. ='(

I love fireworks! o(^▽^)o The sound of when they make the boom sound can sometimes get a little annoying though. I love watching them very much. I always record it on my digital camera or take pictures. I'm excited for New Year's Eve. They always have an amazing fireworks show. ^ ^

I enjoy watching fireworks every year. Independce Day doesn't exist here in Tokyo but we do have a holiday that's kind of like it. It's called Star Festival. There's always a fireworks show late at night and it's really amazing. The holiday is on July 7th.

I don't particularly like fireworks displays. They get a tad too loud sometimes, and really damn annoying 'cause let me just say on how everyone here seem to light them up midnight-early morning on muslim holidays. Like good lord do you guys even sleep? o_o

Problem is we have a lot of holidays since we acknowledge like 6 different religions and all their religious days become national holidays on our calendar, plus Chinese New Year's. Gets pretty hectic here.

Plus I can't stand loud noises. :'c

I enjoy fireworks to a certain degree, the displays are amazing.

On the other hand, I loathe those 12 year olds who throw firecrackers just to annoy other people. Whoever invented the cracker deserves a Sweet Chin Music to the jaw.

I do. However, I have to wear noise block headphones. :c I don't like the loudness of them at all. My parents said that when I was little, we went down to Bar Harbor to see them. Well, I started freaking out because of how loud they were. We ended up having to see them from a distance. Ever since then, I've never actually liked the noise they make. I think it's also because of my autism as well. I've never been a fan of loud noises (sirens, thunder, motorcycles, babies/kids crying or screaming etc).

Last year, we went to Tempe Town Lake for Fourth of July fireworks. I was smart enough to bring my noise block headphones. I had them on the entire time they went off too. The reason is because they shot a few off unexpectedly too (probably for testing reasons), and it jumped the daylights out of me. ;o; Watching them is fun though, just as long as I don't have to actually hear them go off. :P

In general, I think they are fun for the Fourth of July. That's usually when I associate with them the most as well. Any other time is weird for me though. Like, during New Years or something like that. I've only seen them during Independence Day in the US. So, it's what I usually associate them with as I said before. I don't really MIND fireworks for other celebrations or anything. It's just that for me though, it's just weird because well... yeah.

I also can't stand fire crackers or anything either. We've had problems with them here, especially during the Fourth of July. Those things are fxxk'n loud I'll tell you one thing. I hate them soooo much that I often feel like crying. :c

I think fireworks are alright, but I personally never use them, since I'm not the biggest fan of them. My sister, on the other hand, is obsessed with fireworks and will use them on any possible occasion, haha.

I'm really obsessed with fireworks. New Year's eve is my favorite holiday because it's the only occasion you're allowed to set 'em off here in the Netherlands. No matter how cold or how bad the weather you can catch me outside from dusk till long past mid night.

I like single shots (commonly sold as "Thunderkings" here). They are mainly popular because of their loud bangs, but I like how some manufacturers implemented to fancy effects as well. They are also relatively cheap (usually around 5 bucks for 10 of 'em), so I tend to buy quite a bit of them.

While those single shots can be fun, You really want to set off something special at midnight. That's where multishot cakes come in. Multishot cakes are boxes which fire multiple shots of firework. They come at lots of different prices (ranging from $5 to well over $100) but they can be really breathtaking. I like to spend no more than $20 on a single box. Here's some of my favorites: Sparkling Snow, Strictly Hongkong

I love them!!! They're so great! I can feel the booms deep in my chest and it makes me feel really safe. I especially like the "chandelier" fireworks that sound all crinkly. You know what I mean?
Those are often called crackling effects Noa! You mean effects like these right?
