'S not really so bad. Actually lets techies let loose a fair bit more, making for some of the most memorable educators I'll probably ever meet. It was a fun time.

I suppose if you're !American than it won't be the same, but college here, in smaller schools, tends to be high school 2.0. There are a lotta qts around, so I haven't really missed out on anything. Helped that my HS had 2 sister schools.

Wouldn't go back, though. The days were too long and the memories are better left memories.

Pokestick, good times.

Seeing college as a bridge between HS and uni is interesting. Don't think I've seen that before. Where do you live?

Well they're specifically sister schools in that they're all-girl schools. So there were generally a fair number of females about after classes let out.

I generally find the whole thing less confusing over here. Elementary -> Middle -> High. That's pretty much school. College and University are certainly different here, but as far as education goes, neither one really leads to the other. You can just as easily take postgrad courses at a college as you can a university, which is largely why I (and most Americans) interchange the two- there's no real functional downside to it. More than likely, if you're good and plans don't change, you'll get your bachelors at the same place that you started your education, and depending on the reputation, you might go to that same school for grad schooling.

I live in the UK, which has a system of Primary -> Secondary -> College -> University. Only the first two are mandatory. Generally you get GCSEs in Secondary School, A-Levels in College, then everything else (undergrad, postgrad, PGCE, doctorates, etc.) you do at University. The reason I say University is dependant on College is because your results generally determine whether you're accepted or not...although this applies to College as well; you need to get your forecasted GCSE results. Or you did in my day, at least. They screwed about a lot with the system and exam marking a few years back so it might have all changed now.

Think of High School as a combination of Secondary School and College here, more or less...at least in terms of the time you spend in it. Personally, I'm glad I got out of Secondary two years earlier by American standards, because it was a bloody horrible place. xD

Pokestick, good times.

Well, so far Dark Souls II is funky bullshrimp.

Haven't disliked any Fate adaptation so far. But I might be biased as I quite fancy the nasuverse.

Oh, 2 - 0. Looks like the title race won't be ending tonight.

Not really a fan of Urobuchi either., had fun with Phantom though. The only thing more jarring than the difference between op 1 and op 2 was Cal's physical development. Don't think they explained it so I can only assume it was SCIENCE, puberty can't hit that hard. I assume the timeskip wasn't long as they're parading as school kids.

I can see how Urobuchi can be hit or miss. I am pretty excited to see how Ufotable's Heaven's Feel adaptation turns out.

Dunno about simple, so far. DS2 went from zero to a hundred in no time. The enemies of the first non-tutorial area are bonkers. Their attacks are hard to predict, they take ages to kill, and they pull bullmuk like turning towards you mid-swing and having weapon hitboxes way larger than their blades. Doesn't help that the controls don't feel as tight and the losing max health upon hollowing thing is just icing on the cake. The first game wasn't easy, sure, but it felt like a well-balanced, satisfying experience throughout. Especially in Undead Burg where the enemies were easy to learn and left you some space (and souls) to start levelling up. Two hours in and I'm not getting that here. My frustration when enemies follow you for miles and aren't repelled by bonfires. It's like they just used the "lel it's dark souls it's hard" meme as an excuse to throw in as much unfair bullmuk as they could.

Yep. Pretty much Dark Souls 2 in three words.

Have fun with Scholar of the First Sin.

Also, rip ragdoll physics.

Although, I have since my last post been told that the Heide's Tower of Flame is not the right way to go. Which honestly explains a lot. Hey, I got a good number of 'em down.

Oh yeah, as a native English speaker, I guess you would get into dubs.
As for Illya and Kirei, well... yeah, I guess they didn't have the largest of roles in the UBW route. I love 'em as well. The mapo tofu scene sticks with me, forever. Sincerely hope it gets animated.

You got a MAL or somethin'? Lemme have a look. There's got to be something you haven't seen.
231651

I generally watch a show dubbed if it has a voice actor I like, but I'm quite happy to watch a show with subs as well. But I'm a rare breed amongst anime/JRPG fans, apparently. Honestly, I'm happy just being entertained; I'm not interested in how something is to the original or whatever else.

This is my MAL. As a general rule, I don't watch stuff as it's airing because I hate the waiting between weeks. It doesn't include stuff I've dropped, but yeah, there is plenty I've not seen. I have very eclectic tastes, so it's hard to know what I'll enjoy ahead of time. Kinda pot luck.

I'm a native English speaker and never really got into dubs. A lot of people that watch toons here get straight into subs thanks to streaming services and not really much on TV.

Leicester have done it. For those of you that don't into football they were 5000-1 at the beginning of the season. A lot of people thought they'd be getting relegated, me included.

No Panty and Stocking... no FLCL...

Bro, Panty and Stocking. English dub. Go go go. It can hardly be called anime, it's so good. Still pissy that they couldn't get Samuel L Jackson for Garterbelt.
