Yup, read that right. Gintama is gonna end soon.

It has been a long, long ride. But with the kind of content the manga's been dealing with recently (serious mode for 3 long arcs with answers to long-standing questions being given to us at breakneck speed), I guess we all saw it coming.

This will always be my favorite series. Here's to hope Sorachi wraps it up nicely and that the anime series adapts it without ****ing things up. <3
look at that guy make the joke on One Piece and Bleach tho XD

goddammit i just got into this show

I remember thinking, prior to getting into it, that its length wasn't attractive and that it should end. Talked about it with a former member here who was quite the fan. He said the opposite, saying that its length was justified because it was always fresh and fun.

Oh, how right he was.

So this actually makes me really sad to hear. This has become one of my favorite goddamn shows and seeing it go...oh. It won't be fun. Though I do expect the show to poke fun at the fact that they'll finally be entering the true end and reference the movie or their various cancellations in some way. The sendoff'll be fun, no doubt.

Is there a such a thing in Gintama? I watched the first season only and I love it, but I must confess it takes some time to watch something else after a 200-episode marathon.

Maybe I'm the only one, but I prefer the "nonsense" episodic content in Gintama rather than the story arcs lol

As I am a robot, I am incapable of dreaming, but... how shall I put it? I have very much longed to

haha macho your reaction is pretty much what I expected it to be lol.

It has been going on for so long now that I kinda forgot it is one of the major long-running mainstays now. Close to 600 chapters and 300+ episodes. That's a lot. XD; Not that I'd have wanted the series to end because it is such an excellent series but having a proper ending is better than running for too long, losing steam and then getting a **** rushed ending.

Sorachi sensei, you better wrap this up nicely or Gintoki will bust yo ass, yo. XD;

Well, the current story arcs might just change your mind about it. They're excellent. I prefer comedy in general, too, but these recent arcs are just damn fantastic. But I guess that makes sense - the series is effectively playing the endgame card right now.
