What part of Pokemon just isn't your thing/you don't like? I just never liked Mega Evolution. I thought it was an unneeded addon to the game, and it could have been way less OP. But that's just me.

I had to think about this a bit, but one thing I'd say I don't care for is the fact that there's certain Pokemon that you can only obtain at the whims of Nintendo (i.e. event Pokemon, or Mythical Pokemon, as they're called). I mean, I can appreciate that they're rare and therefore more valuable when you do manage to get your hands on them, but they could at least release them a bit more often. Minor complaint, since they're not counted as far as Dex completion is concerned, but still :P

I'd have to agree with this since even though they don't count for Dex completion, I still want the full Dex completed with these Pokémon included, it just doesn't feel complete otherwise :P

I have to say trade evolutions since they are kind of just an extra annoyance if you ask me. It's much less painful now since I've joined here, but it's still annoying for some of the older games I play since I don't have many friends locally that play Pokémon.

as mentioned before, trade evolutions i think it's annoying for people who don't have friends who they can randomly trade pokemon too and expect to get them back. also, it helps if you have two ds's, but a lot of people don't.

Mega Evolution for people who continuously fantasized about 4-stage evolutions.

I'm looking at everyone who came up with wacky evolved forms of Venasaur, Charizard and Blastoise back in 1998.

Mega Evolutions are still a good trade-off. Pokemon have to hold the Mega Stone. No Choice items. I'll still gladly take a Choice Garchomp on my team over a Mega Garchomp. That way I can throw a different Mega on the team that isn't so heavily reliant on a Choice item ;)

As a side note about trade evolutions, I'm all for anything rarer and harder to obtain. The more hoops I have to leap through, the better I feel about the reward. And I've made the following point often for those who complain about trade evolutions, trading in general and non-WiFi events.

Pokemon is a social game. We live in a social world. To get the most out of the core series game, you have to be social. Sure, you can trade with yourself across multiple DS/3DS's or through different game files via the GTS (never liked this workaround), but the games are designed around socializing. Devs have stated this multiple times since the beginning. Yes, trade evolutions are problematic for older games (especially those that relied on physical link cables) now that most people have gravitated away from them. But back then, the solution was to physically play with friends. Wasn't that big of a deal then either because that was literally the only way to do so other than Game Sharkin' it up. It's so easy in the present day now that everyone's globally connected.

Super Training in the newer games. They're unnecessary sine there are much easier ways to EV train your Pokemon. But people like to have fun I guess, not a thing for me though. Time consuming.

Trade Evolutions. I always hated them when I started my adventures with Pokemon on emulators. It's not a problem nowadays though.

The high amount of Legendary Pokemon right now. Gamefreak please. The word "Legendary" lost its meaning for me long ago.

To me, trade evolutions. I currently lack any friends who play the games or any extra systems (except for the DS Lites) meaning I never get the chance to use Pokemon that evolve through this method most of the time, such as Gengar or Alakazam.

Event legends. I like a lot of them design wise, especially Jirachi, but they don't seem to have much point other than being a collector's item since they're difficult to battle with. Even in the Battle Maison... :(

Trade evolutions. I had no friends until I was about 14, by which time pokémon was no longer cool. Thankfully I now have two DS so I can use trade-evolution pokémon in Gen IV/V.

Also, to a lesser extent, version exclusives. I get why we have them, but I can never complete a pokédex now because I don't have Pearl / White so can't get Purugly and Braviary's families.

So I guess basically the parts where you require friends.

I agree with trade evolutions. It's hard to find anyone trustworthy to trade them. Even if you put one on the GTS it could be possible someone can troll you with another trade evolution Pokemon with a held Everstone. Right now I'm finding someone to help me evolve my Swirlix (but I can't atm due to personal activities until I'm free)

If only GF could implement a feature to tweak the GTS so that you can request Pokemon which items they can hold to make it much easier and more reliable.

Trade Evolution (With/Without Items needed) is just another wall to block your progress completing the pokedex also you just can't trust someone to handed over the pokemon you just traded for dex completion and even GTS isn't trustworthy, unless you have some trusting friend that you can count on by taking your evovled pokemon back to you.
