So I was on my way home from the grocery store, and watched a car wreck happen directly in front of me, cause some idiot thought it would be safe to speed 60 miles an hour through a red light, and he then proceeded to hit a car that was making a turn.

This is why you obey traffic laws, kids.

PC, how well do you follow the rules of the road, and have you ever seen / been in a wreck before?

...I'm afraid of not being able to follow traffic rules, so that's why I don't even wanna learn to drive. And car wrecks are a trigger for me, so I don't wanna ever remember what any of those look like.

I try to follow traffic laws as best as possible, but sometimes I make a mistake. I have seen many wrecks on the side of the road and a few in action, but I have fortunately never been in one. However, when I was very young (probably a toddler), my mom's car was stolen. Thankfully she took me out lol.

Houston is very good at running red lights...and not get caught by the cops.

The least I've been in was a small fender bender. It was the other person's fault because he pushed the accelerator too soon.

I grew up in a state where you can be cited for speeding even at 0.5 mph over. Yep. California is very strict.

I've been in a few accidents as a passenger, but nothing particularly bad. As for myself, I adhere to the rules pretty well unless you count getting antsy with bad drivers.

yeah I got into a wreck by my high school when I was a senior. some dude blew the four way stop and I t-boned the guy's truck. I got hella lucky though since the guy was super chill and we ended up talking about guitars/music while we waited for the tow truck lmao. he also admitted to running the stop sign on his insurance statement which I though was rad

I've seen a wreck couple of times, but the worse is to hear a crash at home at 10PM, you see a crash up the road and it happens to be people from your family.

Extended family more or less, but they happened to be okay since my cousin was able to think quickly.

The only rule I'll really break on the rule is the speed limit, such as going 50 in a 45, 45 in a 40, 40 in a 30, etc...

Although I passed a car one time going 25 in a 50 on a double-solid line (no-passing zone), and I accidentally ran a stop sign the other week. Luckily there was no one crossing where I ran the stop sign or any police. XD

I don't have my license still (I've been uber lazy in getting it), so I'm still a learner.

I've run over a roundabout sign.

I've nearly flipped my car over after turning without breaking after going 60km/h. The car titled on its axis.

Should I be on the road, just yet? No.

I've tried to follow as many road rules as possible, although I have broke a few. I have done a bit of speeding, one morning I woke up late and in a panic I sped to school at 80 mph in a 50 or 55. I have done some speeding after that, but nothing as crazy as that and not above 5 over the limit. I ran one red light by accident because I was right behind a big vehicle, either a school bus or dumpster truck, and I couldn't see the light.

As for wrecks, I can remember seeing three and I've been in two. The one wreck that I have seen was many, many years ago when I was little panda, I remember I was in the back seat of our SUV, and we were leaving a store and I saw a car leave the same store after a minute or two, and they ran head onto traffic at a high speed, so loud that you can hear tires screech. The second one was at my high school, and someone's mother wasn't paying attention, if I remember right she was on her cellphone, and she hit someone's car and it was enough to cause some huge dents in their vehicles. The third, was a long time ago and it was when I was working at my high school cooking food for basketball games, and I could looked outside and saw someone's car collide head on to someone else's car and it was loud enough to where I could hear it all the way from where I was standing inside. As for the two wrecks I've been in, the first was in either 2013 or maybe 2012 and it happened in my school parking lot and I accidentally hit someone's truck while I was turning, they didn't have anything happen to their truck, but my truck during that time basically had the front left of it tearing off along with the light. The second wreck that I was in was in October of 6th of 2014, and I head a red 2003 Mustang GT convertible, and I decided to drive in it while it was raining just so that I could drive, and I hit a puddle near a bridge which caused my car to hydroplane across it, and I lost control, went into a ditch, and hit a tree. Thankfully it was the passenger side that was hit, and I was able to get out with a few cuts and scrapes, but my poor car was total and I hit the tree hard enough to just cave the passenger door in almost all the way to my side and just shatter the door (Like the exterior part of the door, was just gone, just shattered, and I could see parts of the metal laying on the ground when I was able to climb out.), crush the car console, and ejected my car's radio. Thankfully no one was in the car with me otherwise that would've been an even worse day than it already was, but my baby Mustang GT was in such a horrifying state after it that there was no way that it was gonna get fixed.

I'm always wary of getting into an accident, so if I happen to be the one driving (which isn't often), I'm definitely going to be erring on the side of caution. X) Maybe a little too much at times. But eh. And yeah, going over the speed limit a bit is the one big thing I'll do, ah ha. But no more than 10 over...maybe pushing 15 if I'm on an interstate or somewhere really flat with not much traffic.

Thankfully all the times I've been in one, they were not what I would consider "wrecks", mostly because they consisted of low-speed bumps. Handful of those, only one of which happened when I was actually driving...although that particular one did put me off learning to drive for the longest while. :T It rattled 15-year-old me so much. And then seeing wrecks....well. I don't tend to see a lot, but one I saw last year stands out. If I recall, big truck managed to flip itself on the highway. Stuff strewn everywhere. Traffic was so backed up.

This is why, especially when you're carrying that much stuff, you pay attention to speed signs on curvy stretches of road, yo.

??? I always do my best to follow the rules of the road? Because I want to be safe and don't want anyone to get hurt? The answer to "how well do you follow the rules of the road" should always be "to the best of my abilities."

I know a few people who've been in really scary accidents (my aunt was in in a coma as a result from a bad one), and I had one last winter. A local worker was clearing snow from a driveway using his truck while I was driving down the street, and he reversed really quickly into me. He smashed into the car and totaled it on the passenger's side. Thankfully I was alone in the car and wasn't hurt too badly.
