"The 49-second video features voiceover discussing the risks of being a hero as a Titan approaches some sort of drop pod bearing the name James MacAllan (a soldier from the first game). We see the Titan shove a huge sword (with "EHR titanium series" written on the side) into the ground as the video ends, cutting to a logo for the game and confirming the name Titanfall 2.

It concludes by showing that the full reveal is coming on June 12, the date of EA's pre-E3 briefing. As expected, the game is coming not just to Xbox One and PC, but PS4 as well.

A release date for the game itself is not mentioned, but we know it's due out by the end of March 2017."
EA just recently released a trailer for the much highly anticipated sequel to the Xbox One exclusive Titanfall which will now be hitting multiple consoles like the PlayStation 4 and PC. As such, with this release and a true trailer release coming soon, it's time to start some discussion on the upcoming game. Who here is looking forward to Titanfall 2? Did you play the first game? What would you like to see result from this game? Feel free to discuss all things Titanfall and Titanfall 2 things here.

This is a day 1 purchase for me on the XBOX One. Hopefully they bring back that "need to complete these challenges to prestige" thing again. That was a fun challenge.
It's funny you mention that. I actually did not notice that until I was about 3/4 of the way ranked up on my 2nd prestige. Little to say I never progressed past that prestige considering I had already unlocked all of level weapons and such and was too lazy and unmotivated to get to the next one lol.

As you can probably tell, I have mixed feelings about that feature :P

Do you think this title will be among the first to have cross-platform play? I think there's a good chance, and it will certainly help boost the population.
I really hope so. One of the biggest issues with Titafall is that it's population died out after a good period of time. With cross-play utilization, it would be a huge boost for it. But I want it to run on Azure servers because those are top notch for multiplayer; I wouldn't want to have it any other way.

The problem with titanfall was that, like battlefront, it had no content. Small amount of maps, so few weapons they're all unlocked after a couple of play sessions, only three types of titans.

Hell, half the content was unlocked in the beta there were so few things.

I tried playing on one of Origins free weekends for it on PC and there was only one server that had enough players to actually play the game (and even then I do not believe it was full)

Titanfall 2 would have to seriously up its game if it wants to stay relevant.

Well, one thing that Titanfall 2 is doing unlike Battlefront is that they are including a single player campaign. That will at the very least add to the content total and help the game's cause. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised be the teaser trailer that there will be new Titans coming.

For a new IP, I believe Titanfall did very well, although I hope they make a lot of steps forward instead of taking steps back with this next installment.

Well unless it was like their last campaign. Multi-single-player matchcmaking with 'story'

Either way I'll keep my eye on it. It was good for a new IP... It just needs... more...
