Some things that we knew from our past, or our parents or other people who were around before we were born told us about have changed dramatically or no longer exist today. Some of us might view these things favorably, perhaps to the point where we want that particular thing brought back.
What things from history do you wish still existed today or otherwise want brought back? One limitation to this: no bringing back dead people!
One thing from my past that I want brought back is the traditional oldies radio format on the FM dial (consisting of hit songs from 1955-75). I grew up listening to that format in my mom's car, and love many of the songs from that era. I refuse to accept the claims by advertisers that us millennials have all the money and all seniors (the latter demographic the target of the traditional oldies format) are broke and thus not profitable. I sure as heck don't want to resort to paid subscription providers to be able to listen to these tunes again.
As for something from before my time that I wish was still with us: I wish movie theaters still played short subjects (including 7 minute cartoons) before the main feature instead of 20+ minutes of corny TV commercials. I'd rather be watching stuff like Looney Tunes/Merrie Melodies (Warner Bros.), Tom and Jerry (originally MGM, now owned by WB as well through Turner), Woody Woodpecker (Universal), Casper the Friendly Ghost (originally Paramount), and Mickey, Donald, and Goofy (Disney) before the feature film comes on instead of cornball commercials for products that I'm not interested in buying.
