You heard me right, people! Sega Genesis and Megadrive Classics on Steam has been turned over to the hordes! Hackers have been given a completely legitimate place to upload their works and modify official releases of old Sega games. This is a huge step forward for the industry as a whole in my opinion, and might bring us into a time where hacking can be considered far more legitimate than it currently is. Maybe Nintendo will lose their "all emulation is illegal" stance in due time. Thoughts? Gonna try any mods out?

I'm personally looking to try out a few of these Sonic 3 & Knuckles hacks. Particularly Harder Bosses 2.

Really? This is impressive! Well done on Sega's part! I'm tempted to dive into this and see what people have come up with.

This is fantastic news, especially seeing how massive the Sonic hacking community is. Hopefully some of the larger scale hacks, such as Sonic Megamix, will end up on there.
