Are you the kind of person who binge buys when it comes to sales? Or do you have self control when it comes to sales, whether that's in the form of fashion, food, etc. If so, what do you tend to binge buy when sales come across? If you're the kind of person who waits for a sale to come, what is generally the percentage drop you wait for in order to buy that particular item?

As always, feel free to talk all things sales related here (:

I hardly spend money on things that aren't necessities so I can control myself and my spending.

Sales are nice and all, but unless there happens to be one when I'm in the market for something, like when I had to replace my laptop last fall during all the back to school sales, I'm just gonna pay the normal price.

All the time.

Whenever it comes to buying clothes, I mostly buy when its on sale because the less money i spent, the more things i can buy ;)

Its like whenever i buy games on Steam. I only buy those that are on sale since I don't want to overpump my credit card charges.
I used to be terrible with impulse purchases in sales - games in particular - although I've gotten better at managing the urge. If I have to think about it, I usually decide against it, because I obviously don't want it as much as I think I do. If a deal is good enough I don't hesitate whether I need it or not.

When it comes to food if stuff is on offer I will always take the offer if I need it or not. Like, I might only need 1 packet of biscuits, but if I can get a second for £1 extra I'll do that, because otherwise it just feels like a waste of money. The only exception to this is stuff with short expiration dates that I wouldn't be able to eat in time.

A sale price is at least 25% off. At least. Anything less and it isn't a sale price. This is probably part of the reason I don't buy many games in sales anymore...GAME have no clue what "sale" actually means.

I'm a sucker when it comes to Happy Hour. That's my kind of sale.

Although, whenever it comes to shopping, I make sure I got all of my hook ups lined up. I have a couple of good friends that work in the popular stores like: Banana Republic, Armani Exchange, etc. and I always get their family discount coupons that offer up to 40% off. But there's a catch.. I shop at the outlet stores. They always have promotions going on. So, I go with my 40% voucher during their 50% store wide weekend sales.. do the math. I save a lot of money doing so.

I have pretty good self control when it comes to buying things, a trait very much needed when in college lol So when sales do come up, I usualy first check to make sure it is soimething I need or know I will buy at some point anyways. If it falls into either of those categories and the price is decent enough, I'll usually end up buying it.
