Anyone else got AP exams in the next few weeks, or have already taken a few? Or any other end of the year exams?

For those who dont know, AP stands for Advanced Placement. Basically the US system for advanced classes. They were created during the Cold War to compete with the Soviet Union. The exams are graded 1-5 against your peers, so the top percent get a 5, and the average score is a 3.

I have one Friday, and thats it thankfully. Im hoping for a 4 if Im lucky. My other non-AP class exams are in a month.

No AP exams for me, but I'm a ways past high school now. I do remember taking them (and discussing having to take them on message boards), though. Not exactly my favorite memories of high school, but at least a couple of them counted for credit in college (though a lot of them just fell into an "elective" credit category that wasn't really useful for anything).

I recall that they were supposed to be similar to college-level finals, in some ways, but I felt like they had a very different emphasis from a lot of my college exams. Still, the length was a good thing to get used to (3+ hour exams became more common after high school), and the knowledge foundation is useful for future coursework.

Is Friday one of the history exams?

Ya AP European History is Friday. Its my only AP. Thankfully its in the afternoon, so I can study and rest some in the morning.

Idk the schedule for the other AP exams, but I think AP English and AP Human Geography are next week? I have some friends in those classes.

I wish AP Human could have fit into my schedule this year, but whatever. It would have just added stress, and the teacher for it apparently sucks.

I'm not in America but I just started my Cambridge Advanced Level examinations today (it went all right, could've been much better |: ) and it spans the entire month of May and the first week of June. Unlike AP, AL is graded on a percentage score (for all the exams papers combined) per subject directly linked to a grade (U being a fail grade, and then grades from E to A and A*, the highest possible). I'm hoping for A*s across the board.

In any case, good luck to you and everyone else who has exams! Do 'em well. :P

It turned out the exam wasnt that bad. There was one section that was really difficult, but the rest was actually pretty good. Unfortunately I forgot to input some terms and names that may have gotten me some points on the essays, but I am fairly confident I did well.
