Hello, guys.

I know there are so many people with 32bit computers and they always sacrifice their favourite games software anything.
Yesterday I downloaded Adobe Ae but unfortunately mine is too 32 bit and it didn't worked. There are so many games and software like this. So if you people got any interesting Games or software that 32bit users can play then feel free to share.

32-bit OS problems? Most newer software of the heavier variety (usually involving design work, or are games) are going to need a 64-bit OS, as well as plenty of RAM (2GB+; for games, 8GB+).

If you're using Windows Vista 32-bit or newer and your CPU can support it, obtain the 64-bit version of your Windows edition in some way (you should be able to grab an ISO from Microsoft directly these days if 7 or newer), and install that using your existing product key. (They will activate, I think nobody cares about that bit if you're not using XP.)

And, well, if your computer came with a 32-bit OS, you might want to evaluate why... probably a good idea to list your system specs (CPU, RAM, video card if any).

64-bit capable desktop hardware has been in fairly regular business use for something like 10 years now (64-bit sever hardware being in use even longer than that). I'd have though there'd have been some substantial market penetration for 64-bit hardware by this point even in your respective countries, HamtaroTumin and Omega.

I'd follow Twiggy's advice and see if your hardware is already 64-bit capable and you just need to get a 64-bit OS on your PC.

Though I might also suspect the problem is more "you need a new PC" and getting a 64-bit OS might not solve the problem entirely, as if a game needs 64-bit, chances are the rest of the specs might not make it, too.

It's because 32-bit only hardware is basically outdated at this point. 64-bit is the way to go because it has nearly no restrictions on current hardware. The only purpose for using 32-bit software is if the hardware you're running on has low specs or is outdated/old.
I wanna say that like all the great people atfirst start with sacrificing like that 32 bit is also not that bad....

As time goes along, 128-bit will become a thing (although it's nowhere in sight for commercial computers, it will more than likely be a thing in the future). 64-bit is definitely the new norm as well, since 4GB+ is the standard when it comes to RAM, and also processors.

To be honest, I hadn't even seen a new 32-bit Windows computer enter into the market in such a long time either.

Intel Bay Trail-based Atom/Celeron/Pentium tablets and low-end laptops? Usually they have the 32-bit version, to go with their rather low amounts of RAM. Usually 1 or 2 GB.

Well I was thinking about most notebooks and desktops put out on store shelves in this day, not tablets. :P Yes tablets do have 32-bit operating systems most of the time.

One thing I wanna say to all you guyz that no need to forget 32 bit, as you all know, before you start studying Computer Science we have to know about the previous things, as 8 bit computers, 1000 bytes computer so 32bit is also a "thingy" that is going to extinct like the other previous versions, so think about both 32bit and 64bit

32-bit as a platform quite simply does not allow enough access to a computer's available resources for many modern games. 32-bit programs and OSes are capped at recognizing only 4 GB of RAM as a limitation of 32-bit hardware and software, and Windows 7 and Windows Vista 64-bit cap their 32-bit program emulators at 2 GB of RAM by default.

So of course 32-bit will be left behind, like 16-bit was left behind when 32-bit came about and became big due to the limitations of 16-bit software and hardware. The limits of 32-bit software and hardware have been increasingly exceeded by demands from software in these last 10 years.

Just make sure your hardware is capable of running a 64-bit OS. And back up ALL of your data.

I use 64 bit because of music.. Most of the music softwares can go either way but using a 32 on a 64 bit laptop or 32 in general can only handle so much, but it also comes down to computer specs and software usage and how much of a cpu hog it is. The VST plugins and the technicality required for music, 32 usually ends up crashing if I'm not careful. Also, I got 8 gb of ram and 32 can only handle so much ram I believe and for music softwares you really do need a lot of ram to run it fluently without issues, even now I barely have enough if the track is huge. So I use 64 to get the most out of my software that works best with my computer.

I would personally go with a medium end i7 with at least 16 GB RAM. If you used a 32 bit computer, you would be limited to at most 4 GB which is nowhere near enough for higher quality sound production.
I use a 64 bit computer and software. My last computer had a quad i5 with 8 and it seemed to work fine. That computer muk out on me for some reason so I got a free Toshiba from a friend, it's only got a dual core intel but I put the 8 from my HP into it and it runs a lot quicker. Not sure how this computer still works.. It's like 5-6 years old by now. My next investment would definitely be a high spec laptop... Or, I could go with a desktop. I do plan to keep building my studio but that's hard to do in an apartment complex haha. And rapping using a diaphragm at the power I do since I've developed it, it might annoy neighbors so I usually record at a friends house.

what make and model is the computer it is likely the processor is really 64 bit but with it only having one or 2 gigs of ram the OEM decided to use 32 bit windows

My ram is 2gb and I am thinking to update motherboard along the processor and ram to make it 64 bit this year, I think it would cost in 10,000 indian rupee.

what is the processor i can see if the processor itself is a 64 bit already i know some computers even if they run 32 bit they have a 64 bit CPU i picked up a dell optiplex 310 (now dead) that had a 64 bit p4 but running 32 bit windows

Here it is,
Spoiler:

And I already know that my computer is not capable of 64bit and according to other features, it is a "eww" thingy.

actually with a ram upgrade you can install 64 bit the Intel Pentium dual core e2140 is a 64 bit processor i know the pentium dual core is 64 bit because my HTPC has a e5300 in it (the board came with it)

Your computer should be capable of running 64-bit, assuming the motherboard allows it.

The only problem is probably with a CPU that old, you might be better off buying a new CPU + motherboard + RAM.

Thanks, now I understand what I need to to upgrade to my pc to x64 as In these days I was searching in the internet but nothing I got in my hands. I will talk to my Computer Technician then. But Still I will not forget about x84 as in it I have started my journey and this the first version I have ever saw after I got birth.

your motherboard supports 4GB max if you want more than that then look for a motherboard with a intel 775 socket
