Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment confirmed today that Batman: Return to Arkham, for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, will launch July 26 for $49.99. The bundle remasters Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City for the current console generation.

The games will be remastered using the Unreal Engine 4, according to a press release from the studio. The remastered versions will give players the chance to play the first two Batman titles in the Arkham series, including both Game of the Year editions, and access to all additional downloadable content.
July 26th.

Trailer for anyone interested:

Games look really good as remastered. Might pick this up once a sale goes on it, as I've already played both games and loved them. Plus, they're offering all DLC's for free wtih this which you can't complain about. The touch ups to current gen actually really good compared to some other games that jumped to current gen. Here are some comparisons if people are interested; top ones are 360 and bottom ones are from the One.

Well it helps that they went to UE4.
What do you mean?

I'm going to pick this up somewhen. I had Arkham Asylum on 360 when it first came out, and I really enjoyed it...mostly. The final battle was crap. But the rest of it was pretty spectacular, and I always meant to get around to Arkham City but never did. Since it's been nearly seven years (!) since I played one game, and never played the other, it seems this was practically made for me. Count me in. Eventually. I'm strongly against paying full price for AAA titles.

Here's a video comparing both the original versions and the "remaster" versions:

Looks like the details in these games didn't transitioned well onto Unreal Engine 4, and the anti-censorship brigade are neglecting the game reducing Poison Ivy's cleavage from the original version.

Funny that this'll probably be the one time people are thankful a game's not coming to PC.

...That said, not sure WB's making the right choice, here. Instead of avoiding the gamble of bad PR that would be risking another terrible PC port by not releasing this for PC, they could...get another developer to port the games for them. Preferably one that actually knows how to program games.

All these "definitive" versions of previously PC-available titles such as Tomb Raider and Dishonered (and now this) being console-exclusive is absolutely silly.

For 50 dollars I may wait for the price to drop and I still play my PS3. But that's cool it's coming to the new generation systems. Gonna get the ps4 once the price drops. I do like how it looks too.
